Extremely risky given that Solanke EO is likely to be over 200%

It's the conundrum I am facing.

Getting Solanke means an extra -4,
it also means I would sell Saka and Foden before I WC (lose value) because I would bring in Barkley as my third Luton, with Morris I'd only have to lose one.

The upside to Solanke is better fixtures in 28 and 30.

On wildcard (with FH in 34 and BB in 37 planned) which keeper combo would you go for?
    1) Neto + Vicario
    2) Kaminski + Raya
    3) something else

Option 1 gives an outside chance of both doubling in 37. Option 2 obviously gives me a GK in the best defensive team in the league

I think I'm going with Neto + Leno which makes gw34 tricky but otherwise seem to rotate well and of course at least 1dgw, maybe 2

Problem is that you could end up with neither doubling in 37?

If argue in the absence of a y certainty, you probably have to cross the "will they or won't they double" bridge when you come to it. Both could double in 37 - problem is more that Leno's fixtures would be very City and Pool who'd be potentially still battling for the title at that point

Yeh that’s another challenge with it I suppose.

To me, with WC now, you have to work with the info available - even if it doesn’t work that way.

            Are you WCing?

Yes you're right, you have to work with what you've got and hope it goes your way. TO be honest, don't ask me about rotating GK - I'm shocking at it. Have had Areola and Pickford since GW29 and I have scored less points rotating them then I would have playing either of them permanently:-D

Probably WC in 30 or 31 yes as I'm dead ending into 29.

Bournemouth at home haven't been scoring many goals,

Luton are a mixed bag, could be 4-4 or 0-0.

I'm kind of thinking of Dalot too (rather than Senesi - Kerkez/Zabarnyi), although I'm not all that keen on the block of fixtures between EVE & potential DGW34 for CS. Depends which weeks you'd need to play them I guess

            found it:

              Ah nice, that is interesting.

It's quite amazing that Senesi has scored 3 goals with that average xG - 2 of the goals were only an xG of 0.11. Clearly an exceptional header of the ball, Zabarnyi not so much.

    Hi, long term planning dilemma:
    From gw 30 onwards

    A) Foden, and a cheapie up front (likely Muniz) in a 352
    B) Solanke and someone like Elanga in a 343?

I like the look of a Haaland, Watkins, Højlund front like from 30 so think it's 3-4-3 for me, but admittedly given I would want Son, Foden, Salah & Saka as the main midfield four, I'm not sure I can afford it 😀

I'm planning to sell Solanke in 30 - great option this week but after that I'd prefer Darwin/Højlund/Isak. Probably lining up like this from 30/1:
      Salah Son Saka Foden* Palmer
      Haaland Darwin (Semenyo)

      * unlikely I buy Foden back in 30 but maybe 31/3 (made the mistake of keeping KDB over Foden on WC last week)

I was considering that too but only works if I get Gordon over Foden (then I could do Semenyo - Darwin instead). But all the fixtures from 30 look pretty good for Palmer/Gordon, not sure there's clear benching fixtures

A quick look at lasts week’s FPL.
The obvious result was engaged fantasy managers had small variances with their OR and mini-Leagues.
Haaland Saka and Son Captaincy was a 1-point variable.
Most high owned goalkeepers got points and for those who chose Areola gained on the field will be smiling but limited in gains.
Watkins Haaland Solanke Saka Son Palmer and Foden were highly owned and had little impact. (Unless you did not own them)
Good or bad fortune lay within defenders. Owning 2 Arsenal assets, Doughty, Newcastle without Trippier would have affected points variance the most.
With Eze and Gordon one could have benefitted and keeping Darwin would have been a pleasant surprise.
So, what are we in for? Tactics regarding chips will play a major part and sacrificing players having high SV compared to TV will complicate matters trying to get them back. I have TV of 107.1 which is high, but moving off and back on them will bring me back down to earth.
Good luck all. This will be a defining moment for many. Remember this; just don’t buy to make up numbers. The payback could be minimal. Planning for 34 and 37 may bite you. Injuries will continue to affect transfers, as has been experienced most of the season.

My third defender this week is one of Senesi (likely injured), Porro (may be injured) and Reguilon (away at Arsenal).
    Would you:
    a. Senesi out for another Bournemouth defender for a -4
    b. Play Porro if we get news he's fit, if not then do a.
    c. If Porro is not fit, play Reguilon and hope for the best

When talking about the range of expected points for any player, ceiling is the realistic top end and floor the bottom. So e.g. for a Bournemouth defender like Zabarnyi who doesn't score or assist or get bonus very often, his ceiling this week would be 2x clean sheets = 12pts.

      Ceiling means the upper limit.

A player who has a higher ceiling is one who is likely to be explosive and has potential to score a hattrick.

Lower ceiling is one who might chip in with the rare goal or assist.

It's maybe slightly more nuanced than that? It may be as simple as that but I think that "upside chasing" has a risk factor built in - like always going for the player who is going to spike the most at a given time, i.e. has the highest ceiling for a fixture or run of fixtures, even if, over a longer period, another player might keep pace with him.

An example might be going for someone like Richarlison for playing out-of-position and Son-unavailability reasons, rather than JWP, and then jumping off Richarlison for someone else, rather than keeping JWP throughout.

There are floors and ceilings. In every given week players have a lower and upper limit to what scores they could get.

Floor is the low end. Ceiling is the high-end.

In a DGW, players have a higher floor because they have two games to score points. The ceiling though is usually related to haul potential. Haaland's ceiling is enormous because he can score hat-tricks at will.

A player like Zabarnyi this week at best will probably get 12 points from 2 CSs.

Should be B but could be tight (not a Barkley fan)

The margin is low. Wouldn’t waste transfer

Leaning to FH29 over WC28, as I’m cooked for G29

    Areola
    Livra Gabriel Porro*
    KDB Saka Gross Gordon
    Haaland Darwin Solanke

    (Kelleher Garnacho

      Forgot to finish the bench

      Kelleher, Garnacho, Ake, Trippier*

With 2 FT leaning to move the three of KDB, Darwin and Ake out (hold Trips)

      A) Son, Watkins & BOU DEF
      B) Son, Morris, Doughty
      C) WC

I'd only FH29 if you have a team you want to save for after the FH.

      I'd argue you don't. So I'd just WC28.

Makes sense, only have 3 players for 29 but I do not like my team at all for GWs 30+

-4 for Haaland to Morris for 3 matches next two game weeks compared to Haaland's tricky 1?
Haaland would come back in gw31.

Which of these would you go with? 1 week punt only as wildcarding in 29..

    A - Tavernier (-4), bench Foden
    B - Tavernier (-4), bench Watkins
    C - Just play Foden + Watkins

      C, A, B - in that order.

Stick with KDB this GW (have Foden & Haaland) or bring in Son or Bowen for -4?

    Will FH29

In isolation these are probably good long term moves anyway.

Trippier Pedro Neto > Emerson, Bowen -4?
