Police are advising that the suspect, who may be disguised as a horse, should be treated as dangerous and should not be approached by members of the public. He was last observed on a fantasy football website, acting erratically and shouting KILMAN

At first, eye-witnesses reports suggested that the horse may have become separated when set upon by a donkey, perhaps let loose from a rival pantomime. Later, a testimony from the backend, who claims not to have been an accomplice to any crimes committed by, what he calls, "the brains of the operation", assured our journalists that there is no rivalry between local panto animals and that the assailant "ait nouri but a hound dog". He went on to apologise for the man they'd killed.

    BB34 vs BB37 (WC 35)

One of the main benefits of BB37 is that you can use WC35 to build the most optimum squad for that specific GW, however the major downside after looking into it in more detail is that getting the players you want in GW38 could be very tricky. Examples here are Arsenal & Pool players and most specifically the big hitters Saka/Ode & Salah as you are likely going to have value tied up in the bench players you have drafted in for BB37.

On the flip side if you plan to use BB34 and then WC in 35 you are then building a starting XI for 35,36,37 & 38 meaning you can get the main players you need in lower moves and not worry about benching certain players, particulary some of the big hitters in DBL GW37.

Food for thought but i may be starting to lean towards BB34!

Obviously this plan most likely doesnt reflect those with the FH chip left.

I am using WC now for BB37, I have Salah and (currently) Saka but the rest of my team is doubling in 37. My FT's can therefore be used to upgrade players (e.g Burn to Trippier at a later date) and fix any issues before then.

Salah out in 37 and reversed in 38. There's a good chance I will have 2FT at that stage too to bring in another player like Saka or Odegaard.

I prefer BB34, but i have too many hits i think to get there.

      Neto (turner)
      VVD, Gusto, Gabriel, (Estu, Doherty)
      Salah, Son, Foden, Palmer, Foden
      Solanke Darwin (Semenyo)

If Foden starts I'd roll and see what happens GW33 v Real Madrid and Luton (with Haalands rest)

Or i'd have to WC33 and Just leave Haaland and a BB34 team there but it will mean a few hits over 36/37.

But I do prefer BB34 in points, but Man Utd (a Brighton) V Newcastle (away to Brentford) GW38 isn't the greatest, Spurs and Chelsea are OK, but Arsenal Liverpool and of course, Man City are.

I'm starting to lean a bit more towards BB34 as well. I can get 12 x DGW for 34 plus Haaland, Palmer and Konsa and still have 11 x DGW for 37 without using any chips and just benching the Liverpool and Arsenal players I'd most likely bring in when I WC.

Not fully liking having to put in 3 x MCI, MUN, NEW, CHE and TOT on my gw35 and completely ignoring Liverpool and Arsenal players until GW38.

Hey guys, what do you think of the below team?

    Neto
    Gabriel Porro Doughty
Palmer Salah (c) Foden Saka Son
    Darwin Toney

    Areola Zabarni Reguilon Mubama

    £4.0 itb 1ft

Plan to FH in GW34, was wondering whether to get Haaland back this coming GW especially as he's rested now, and we may get leaks if he starts. Thanks guys!

    1. Saka to Gordon and Toney to Haaland for -4
    2. Saka to Barnes and Toney to Haaland for -4
    3. Saka to Macallister and Toney to Haaland for -4

I think there is an argument that this is the most generous season of FPL ever.

    Look at the template attack:

    Salah Saka Foden Palmer Son
    Haaland Isak

Salah - 12.5m price for arguably the best player in the history of the game. Highest PPG this season. Incredibly reliable.
Saka - 8.5m starting price is ridiculous for a nailed asset that takes pens and plays for a team as free scoring as Arsenal. He's in almost everyone's teams and with the fixtures coming up as long as he's fit he'll continue to stay there.
Foden - 7.5m - He's the top scoring mid in the game now. Insane ceiling, with the departure of Mahrez and Palmer, his price should have been upped as well. He's playing like he's 11m and I think he should be at least 10m next season.
Son - 9.0m - He's one of the most explosive players in the league. Extremely high PPG and has two seasons of 220+ points. His consistency and finishing ability should have made him minimum 10m.
Palmer - 5.0m - I think FPL really need to work on their pricing for players as backups for the big teams. Getting 3.7m starting keepers for Pool or City is insane if their first choice gets injured. Palmer should have been 6.5m even if he had stayed at City. 5m is ridiculous because he's either the best value player in the game or he's completely ignored. That's poor balance. What more is there to say, he's arguably the best value player in the history of the game in terms of reliability and potential. I can only remember confidently captaining a sub 6m asset twice in the past.

Haaland - 14m - The only attacker they priced correctly this season. But it didn't even matter because they underpriced everyone else so you can afford him anyway. He's been performing below what's expected of him but he's still Haaland and keeping him hasn't been a detriment because of the generous pricing.
Isak - 7.5m - Slightly underpriced relative to his ability. FPL need to calibrate based on a player's ability on a PPG basis rather than season totals. He has 15 goals in 19 games.

FPL need to make it harder next year. The only players that have been 'overpriced' this year are United players and that's more because the team is awful.

We knew this last season when we could get defenders from sides chasing CL spots like ManUtd and Arsenal at the same price point as those from sides that got promoted.

Although saying Haaland's price "didn't even matter because they underpriced everyone else so you can afford him anyway" is a bit funny when you said you had to move Odegaard to Havertz to afford to keep Son

You can't afford anyone you want but the restrictions are very minimal.

I honestly think that Havertz is an upgrade on Odegaard. The stats favor Havertz a lot and I think he has much higher xMins than people and models give him.

The mistake was Son over Foden. Huge delta on that decision.

That's not the point, the point is that you say Haaland's price doesn't matter because everyone else was so underpriced but then for you to fit him in with the other players you want... you have to move one player to another cheaper one. Especially when you've mentioned many times how good your TV is.

Got so lucky going Watkins to Dawin instead of Haaland with 34 in mind, . I hope he starts lol.

Without Haaland, you can pretty much buy who you want with Palmer.

I started Eze instead of Mbeumo, hit me hard at the start of the season, as I thought Olise would only be out 4 GW's before his setback and Mbeumo would be as effective without Toney, How wrong I was. I needed two 6.5 as well as I squeezed Salah and Haaland in at the start and was stuck with Pedro for ages lol

It wasn't easy really easy GW1 at the start, it got easier when reserve team PL players get moved about.

But there were only two Premier Priced players with Kane going and then the flip of cards started. There are unusually 4 or 5 and KDB had been injured and Kane went.

But Arsenal are way too cheap again and so were Man City without much rotation.

I was all on Foden over Son but fell for the prevailing narrative

...because I had the budget left on wildcard with Haaland, Watkins at the time, Muniz then the template 4 in midfield plus MacA

We were both saying that Foden was better value at the time, about 2 weeks ago.

I think they use FPL as way to increase engagement and therefore interest in the Premier League first and foremost.

Enabling people to afford as many of the star players as possible keeps engagement high and deters 'casuals' who might otherwise be put off.

On a personal note, the emergence of such a strong and solid template in the last few years with the proliferation of content creators pushing the same template has been my interest in FPL wane recently and I am actively considering taking a break next season unless they do something wildly different with the prices or rules of the game.

Only two or three of those players were in most teams in GW1 though. Mostly Saka and Haaland, with some having a Foden or Salah

Saka’s price was stupid and he should’ve been £9.5m

Kane leaving was bad for FPL. He would’ve mixed things up a bit more

Agree with the assessment other than the conclusion, which I don't necessarily disagree with, but I think it bears analysis. I see a lot about 'lower player prices = easier game', but I have never really reached the same conclusion myself.

Do lower prices make the game, as a whole, harder or easier? Lower prices make it easier to fill a team with star players. But does it then encourage us to stick with these assets simply because they are good value, not necessarily because they are producing? Does it then take more skill and foresight to decide to come off good assets for good teams for less fashionable players when, for examples, fixture runs turn?

On a fundamental level, a greater number of combinations of players are available when more of the player base is undervalued. This means you are maybe choosing which of the many 'tier 2' priced players to include, with the various combinations having drastically different outcomes, rather than having 'the best one' or none at all because you are trying to fit in the likes of Salah, Kane and Aguero at 13m each.

If the top top assets are priced too high, and you (inevitably) want all of them at certain points in the season, the rest of the team will be drawn from the same pool of budget enablers that everyone else has. I would argue that this makes the game easier, not harder.

The final point I would make is that 'cheaper players = easier game' is totally true as a concept in isolation, but we are all playing against 10m other managers who have access to the same players at the same (or nearly the same) prices. The more combinations of players achievable by more rivals leads to greater chaos in terms of the number of players who could harm the ranks of the engaged managers. Engaged managers, like businesses, thrive when there is more certainty, and struggle when there is uncertainty.

I think the issue as well is that the premium defenders haven't really shown their worth and/or have spent parts of the season injured. The above was £64m on the starting prices you have given for 7 of your 15. Add that 5 defenders will reasonably cost you £22m (4x4.5 + 4), GK £9m (2x4.5) and final forward £4.5m that takes you to £99.5m - so once you want a Trent, Trippier or VVD you have to downgrade one of the 7. We can afford it now as we all have a bit more to spare, but also because of the emergence of so many sub-£4.5m options.

I agree. Arsenal were far too cheap, so were Man City but they haven't rotated as much as expected. Salah was too cheap. Isak/Wilson rotation hasn't happened but I have had Issak for 10 games and black in every single one lol.

Palmer is a gift, but he wasn't going to play for Man City. Chelsea bought him after trying to tap up Olise. Release caluses not only have a value to be payed upfront, there still maybe add ons, there are also maybe only CL clubs, it might this time that the Release clause cannot be activated until 2025/26 season, we don't know.

All we now know it Chelsea did not qualify and quickly bought Palmer instead (their final bid was £39m) before Palace reported them to the premier league by approaching the agent directly, for details of his release clause.

What if Man City goes for Olise this summer after the game starts? I can tell you he is CL-class, but has only played a few games as Doku is pretty ropey. Olise at 5.5 or 6.0m will be a steal, next year anyway, whoever he plays for as long as he can stay fit, which may mean the big boys could wait for another year, to make sure his injuries are well overdone with, or they may make the gamble anyway depending on what is release clause actually is. The act that Palace are looking at 2 wingers already (but we need at least one, as we are so light up front, means that Guehi is definitely going, even though he doesn't or we are also preparing for an Olise bid

Good YouTube video on Release clauses

      https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d9eUN7twTlQ

But yes Kane going hasn't helped, there are usually 4 premiums at least, so having two hasn't helped.

They will not make it harder.
They’re not interested in catering for hardcore weirdo’s like us who spend all week planning for the weekend.
All they’re interested in are numbers, the more registered players the better, for adverts, clicks, etc.
      How you get numbers?
By making the game appealing to the masses\casuals who with short attention span want easy and quick to master game which can give them feeling that they know what they doing.

Game is easy as it is and will get easier so average Joe can have all his favourite players in his team.

They should be interested in making a better game. Better game = more engagement.

I think FPL would be a better game with better prices. Why do you think Average Joe being able to have all his favorite players would make the game more appealing? I'm not sure I follow that logic.

People enjoy FPL in lots of different ways.

It would be a better for us, for the small group which is starting their day by checking price changes.
But it wouldn’t be a better game for average Joe’s, they don’t want to spend whole week trying to figure out which Brighton midfielder have the best potential, they want to pick Saka, Son, Salah and sprinkle it KDB.
Prices are too kind and will remain that way to make them appealing to masses.

I think defenders (particularly premiums) not keeping many clean sheets has been a factor too which was hard to foresee. Also, if Haaland was priced at 16.0 and everyone else stayed the same price it would have made the decisions a lot more difficult with only that change.

I would just choose not to have Haaland for 16m. I'd play anyone else I wanted.

Salah is probably off to Saudi in the summer at a guess, especially as Klopp is going (probably why he announced it).

I think pricing will be even harder next year.

    Pickford
    Gabriel, Porro, Gusto
    Salah, Saka, Foden, Son, Palmer
    Watkins, Darwin

    Areola, Toney, Pau, Doughty

Gives 2FT to get Haaland for 33 Vs Luton (probably selling Son) before FH34 and WC35 (when Son comes back). Toney vs Villa not a terrible bench option if Watkins still out, although could be tempted to do Watkins to Solanke or Isak (although that then means a hit for Haaland in 33).

    Ait Nouri...

Given that Hwang and Cunha will return over the next few weeks, is it a case of now or not at all?

His XGI is basically 4-5 times the norm at the moment, so buying for 34 seems slightly less appealing.

Personally have double Arsenal, so it's him versus a roll with Porro until 33, but I'd be interested in views.

Agreed Cunha and Hee Chan will impact RAN's role. He will drop back to LWB/LB when both are back. Still good value in him though from an attacking defender POV so still a good option.

I have the same defenders and Porro to RAN is ab option I'm considering. Likely to roll though

Double Arsenal + VVD/TAA will be popular before reset in WC35

I think it's a bit late but guess it depends on when Hwang is back. I was between two of Gusto, Muñoz and RAN on WC and went with the former two (although I got Sa). I have 2FT and nothing pressing yet so I could move Gusto to him now but not sure if it's worth it with Chelsea playing SHU on Sunday

    Start one:

    A) Toney (avl)
    B) Muniz (NEW)

Both looked a bit poor midweek from the highlights

Awful GW so far, for me.

Is Saka to Foden (-4) the move to make, if Foden starts?

    Petrovic
    Ait-Nouri Gusto Udogie
    Palmer Salah Saka Son
    Muniz Isak Haaland

    Onana Garnacho Bradley C.Richards

Would you roll the transfer with the below team or...

    A. Konsa > Ait Nourri
    B. Porro > White

    Dubravka
    Kerkez / Gabriel / Porro
    Palmer / Son / Salah / Saka / Diaz
    Haaland / Solanke

    Areola | Konsa | Branthwaite | Mubama

    Thanks

Without knowing future plans, I would be tempted in the RAN move. There is Upside over Kerkez (not first choice) and Konsa

Just seen the ‘meme of the day’ roundup on the FB group. The poor soul who played Areola with turners ‘-1’ for getting a booking on the bench pretty much sums the week up for many.

Thanks, plan is to WC in 35 no FH left and also have bench boost.

I was one of them that sold Foden > Diaz. Is it worth bringing back or leave it?

    Bench one:

    Muniz (NEW)
    Solanke (lut)
    Son (NFO)
    Foden (cry)
    Saka (bha)

Bench Muniz for now but obviously wait for Saka press conferences.

Solanke before Minuz, is Home record against an team who are hopeless away from home, i'd play him over Foden and Saka probably, (yes I have said it again)

Solanke is first to drop surely if everyone plays

Any ideas on best Arsenal triple up on FH34?

Thinking Saka, Ode and White is the best combo (in theory).

Trouble is, Arsenal defence EO is >100% in top 100k so it could backfire not having 2 defenders, especially if Tomiyasu gets a game in the double and White only plays once.

Probably. Havertz has more "ceiling" than Ode when Saka plays, but Jesus is back and rotation.

Only other thought is Raya as the GK, but rarely get a bonus.

    Game of small margins.

Dubravka gets a good hand to DCL's pen (88th min) but it still goes in.

    Finishes with 2 points.

    Had he saved it:
    Clean sheet: 4 points
    Penalty save: 5 points
    Saves (3): 1 point
    Bonus: 3 points

    Total: 15 points

    Neto
    Saliba Gabriel Gusto
    Salah Son Diaz Palmer Luiz
    Haaland Toney
    (Neto Wissa Udogie Doughty)

    A) Doughty to RAN
    B) Toney to Isak
    C) Roll ft

Fact: We will not know about Saka before deadline on Saturday and even if we did we can't trust Arteta

Based on the 100% factual statement above, what should we do with Saka? Worth doing Saka to Foden if there is a leak Foden starts?

Hello I have a Problem what should I do with this team I am terribly lost with this lineup should I sell someone or leave and in the next round, have 2FT.

I don't have WC and FH only BB from Chips. and my lineup.

    Dubravka/Fleeken

    Porro/Gabriel/Saliba/Gusto/Branthwaite/.

    Barkley/Palmer/Son/Salah/Saka.

    Solanke/Morris/Haaland.

    Pickford
    Nouri, Gabriel, Van Dijk
    Palmer, Salah, Saka, Son
    Haaland, Solanke, Muniz

    Petrovic, Zabarnyi, Gussto, Garnacho

    1FT 0.7 ITB

    BB GW 32 or 34?

Fixtures seem decent apart from Garnacho vs Liverpool.

Son has no fixture in 34.

If you're willing to transfer him out for a doubler, then buy him back, then 34 looks the better option. If not, go 32.

Sitting on 2FT and 0.7 itb, so should probably just transfer Lascelles out. Best replacement?
    A Burn
    B Maguire
    C Someone else?

    Will FH34, BB37.

    Team is
    Onana Petrovic
    Udogie Gusto RAN Bradley Lascelles
    Salah Saka Foden Son Palmer
    Haaland Isak Muniz
