    A) Burn/Trip + Foden
    B) Dias/Walker + Gordon

(Won't buy the def til GW37, so was hoping Trippier would be back)

    1FT, 1.7 ITB, BB37 (no WC), thoughts?

    Raya / Petrovic
Udogie / Burn / Gusto / Van Hecke / Bradley
    Salah / Son / Saka / Palmer / Garnacho
    Haaland / Isak / Hojlund

    A: Udogie to Romero/Porro/Schar
    B: Bradley to Romero/Porro/Schar
    C: Saka to Foden

What keeper combo to go for on WC.

    Currently on Vic and Edersen.

    How's the WC look (BB37)?

    Vicario - Onana
    Schar - Gusto - Porro - Dalot - Reguilon
    Palmer - Son - Foden - Bruno - Gordon
    Haaland - Jackson - Isak

Reguilon will probably go to a City defender in 37 (but maybe not).

Tempted to go Salah + Watkins over Bruno + Haaland but I don't like planning too many transfers in advance (I'll want the latter for the double and have already pencilled in one transfer).

Everyone on your chip strategy has the same front eight it seems, so the only variables are whether you hang on to an Arsenal defender, and which two dgw keepers you pick.

      1. agueroooooney
        • 11 Years

Seems that way, but when it's only 40% of teams using WC then it's a potential gain on 60% of teams.

Have the funds for Schar to be Trippier and Reguilon to be any City defender which I don't think everyone does (maybe 50% of WCers?). Therefore I would estimate this "template" to be able to gain on 80% of teams.

Also I am considering Salah and Watkins in there to mix it up a bit if I want to go completely different.

Form is. Depends on who has the past points and how far in the past their form was good.

Are you basing a players form on attacking returns? What happens if they are overperforming their underlying stats?

              • 14 Years

Then I'd get them in and sell a player underperforming their underlying stats. Stats based on machine learning and performance. Machines don't get tired, hungry, become a father or get hamstring injuries.

I've seen this plenty of times where folks get in too late and miss the purple patch.

All about predicting the next haul for the highest gains.

Those factors are taking into account in models. Altering xMins based on team news, mins played, schedule etc

True true. But also 'I won't get him now cos his form won't last', many still saying that about Palmer. Speaking of machines though, I'm not one. No discipline for this, get bored, lose interest and prone to do stupid stuff. But I enjoy it anyway and doing poorly but at least kept the hit count low this season. https://fantasy.premierleague.com/entry/578614/history

Haaland not at last seasons level either. No 2 month rest mid season, debatable whether he was fully fit after previous injury but City not at last season's level, not exploiting his strengths. So far anyway.

Emerson is Right footed, Davies is left footed so Ang would have to really not fancy Davies to play Emerson out of position.

Thanks for the replies, it seems like Emerson could play. Looking at the link TA sent you can see the last time Udogie was injured (vs Wolves in GW25) Davies played LB. Emerson played RB that game because Porro was also injured, so you could say Emerson would have played LB if Porro was fit. In all the previous games though, when Udogie has been subbed off, Davies has come on

I'm on a wildcard but have found that the attacking optins are just too good. I think I will have to bench one of:

    Bruno (BUR)
    Foden (for)

I would say so. Schar has lots of routes to attacking points. Headers, shooting, occasional freekick and will pick out the LW at least twice a game with a long diagonal

Over the season then Schar has been better than Burn. But over these last few upcoming games, I'd go Burn, he could easily score too, especially if it allowed to spice it up elsewhere.

City could be 4pts behind both Arsenal and Liverpool by the time they play Brighton on Thursday. Yes they'll have 2 games in hand, but if Arsenal and Liverpool do win these games then even with their experience it's a very different scenario to what they've faced before, especially given there are two other sides (instead of just one) challenging them

But if Arsenal or Liverpool don't take maximum points in GW34/35/36 then there is still a scenario in GW37 where if Arsenal don't beat Utd away and Liverpool don't beat Villa away then title could be Man City's before they play Spurs.

          • 5 Years

Yes but you're relying on both Liverpool and Arsenal dropping points in at least 2 of their next 3 games along with City winning all of their next 3. That isn't an impossible scenario but I don't think it's that likely either

This is what that title and FPL needs.

It's likely to go the wire.

If Brighton can get a draw, those last 3 Man City games pose some challenge too.

Dias has been pretty nailed of late. Still some risk though.

      And yes, 100% buy Foden.

Would you wait until GW37 to bring him in for Saka or just bring him in this week?

Depending on who you currently own, my priorities for this week would be Isak, Gordon, Foden (in that order).

What do you think is the best option from the below?

    Flekken
    Saliba - Gabriel - VDV
    Salah - Saka - Son - Palmer - Garnacho
    Isak - Haaland

    Neto / Muniz - Doughty - Emerson

    1) Saka to Gordon
    2) Emerson to Schar (and bench one of my Arsenal def)
    3) Both for -4
    4) Roll FT

Looks like I getting Isak and RAN off the bench, have a feeling they will do well tomorrow.

With Haaland first on my bench, it looks like Aït-Nouri will auto-sub Foden potentially. Could be worse.

Got a bench of Palmer/Gusto/Udogie. Ouch!

Just a guess but given he wasn't in the squad on Saturday I'd guess there's a good chance he doesn't feature

A lot of GW 35 Wild carders dropping Salah, could this backfire?

Predicted XI from cfcnewspage (Nathan Gissing) on instagram. Normally very accurate. No Palmer or Gusto

    1) Play Saka (tot)
    2) Saka> Foden -4 (nfo)
    3) Saka> Bruno -4? (BUR)

Just think Saka looks tired, however NLD could be a goal fest, is there upside to the -4?

Saka up against Emerson or Davies looks fine to me

    Which duo?

    A) Bruno, Jackson
    B) KDB, Jackson
    C) KDB, Hojlund

      KDB got higher upside imo

      A or B - don't like Hojlund as a FPL pick

I like KDB over Bruno if you can afford it

    What would you do here?

    Petrovic
    Van De Ven/Gusto/Maguire
    Salah/Saka/Palmer/Son
    Haaland/Isak/Hojlund

    Kelleher/Garnacho/Gabriel/Udogie
    1ft 0.7itb

    A)Udogie->Schar/Akanji
    B)Udogie+Saka->Foden+Schar/Akanji(-4)
C)Save and start Maguire or Gabriel
