Slovenia v Denmark team news: Maehle only on the bench

Day three of this European Championship continues with team news from the Group C clash between Slovenia and Denmark. It kicks off at 17:00 BST in Stuttgart.

Familiar names Christian Eriksen (€7.0m), Rasmus Hojlund (€7.5m) and Kasper Schmeichel (€5.0m) all start.

However, the main Danish talking point regards the lack of Joakim Maehle (€5.5m), with Alexander Bah (€4.5m) and Victor Kristiansen (€4.5m) instead preferred as wing-backs.

During qualifiers, Maehle was the second-best defender for attempts (16) and shots on target (seven), whilst being number one for big chances (four). He even scored against today’s opponents in last November’s meeting.

Narrowly behind Maehle on three big chances was Zan Karnicnik (€5.0m). He does make the Slovenia line-up, alongside stars Jan Oblak (€5.0m) and Benjamin Sesko (€7.0m).

      "Hjulmand has chosen Kristiansen and Bah over Mæhle as the wing-backs in Denmark's 3-5-2. I guess the plan is to hit plenty of crosses, and Bah and Kristiansen are arguably better at that than Mæhle, who tends to gravitate more towards the centre of the pitch."

              You know I'm not shy about expressing my issues with FFS but that isn't one of them. At least right now I think I can handle this by myself even.

              I'll keep an eye out for you. I certainly don't want you to feel like you're being driven off. I'm pretty tolerant of almost anything on here except aggressive/abusive behaviour

        Agree

        Although wonder to protect the back line if a 4-3-3 better
        with the two wide in mid-field bombing forward & back to allow additional
        cover to left back but allowing to attack from deeper with the ball

      yes, but no information about how much they increase, and whether theres a chance to build TV/SV

      big increases could make the 5mil extra for the KOs not much in comparison

      Been playing UCL fantasy for 3 years (with same rules) and actually I don't know. Prices change slightly but I don't think you gain TV when selling, although the budget does increase to 105m for the KO stages. In any case, it's too short a format for TV to really be a consideration imo

        Player prices will stay the same until the Matchday 2 deadline. Once the Matchday 3 deadline has passed, some players' prices will be adjusted based on their performances in the previous games. Prices will keep changing throughout the season depending on how many points players score."
