Belgium v Slovakia team news: De Cuyper a sub

Matchday 1 of Euro 2024 Fantasy continues in Frankfurt, as Belgium start their campaign against Slovakia.

Romelu Lukaku was the top goalscorer in qualifying and he is unsurprisingly part of head coach Domenico Tedesco’s starting XI.

Wout Faes, Kevin De Bruyne, Leandro Trossard and Jeremy Doku also feature for the Red Devils, but Maxim De Cuyper has to settle for a place on the bench.

Instead, Yannick Carrasco starts at left-back, with Koen Casteels preferred to Matz Sels in goal, as expected.

As for Slovakia, the 2%-owned Adam Obert is their most-selected player, but he’s only named among the substitutes.

Martin Dubravka, Milan Skriniar and David Hancko are some of the familiar faces in action, however.

Kick-off is at 17:00 BST.

    4 goals minimum from Lukaku is what I expect.

    I remember there was a trick you can make a transfer during MD1 using the MD2 free transfers. This way you can see the starting line ups before the deadline and if one of your players is benched you can get one that plays for sure and put him in the team. Does this still work ?

      That WC fantasy game was awful; worst I've ever played. No hacks in this one. You can make transfers for MD2 now but you have click into a different tab & they won't affect your current team

    This is a great achievement for humanity. Though benched today, to have an AI (De Cypher) playing football is monumental. We've come a long way.

    The UEFA fantasy game has scr3w3d me over as I definitely changed my MD1 captain to Mbappe after Kane blanked yesterday and I've just noticed that the armband is back on Kane !

    I came up empty after a lackadaisical search for ownership/effective ownership.

    I have Lukaku and Mbappe but have left the armband on Musiala and am trying to figure out what I should be rooting for.

    Little help?

      Just root for them to get points.

      Musiala as a captain is differential enough as it its.

      In terms of ownership Mbappe is 76% while Lukaku is 20%.

            hmm dont think so. might just be something to do with the official stats they use and it gets changed, buts it odd. pretty sure orban lost 1 long time after the match vs switzerland, guehi lost 1 yesterday as well after the match. will be others as well
