Really like ESR at Fulham. Feels like a good level for regular output in a nicely coached Silva side

Think I’m set on this. Any recommended changes?

    Raya
    Trent - Porro - Livramento
    Salah - Son - Ødegaard - Jota - ESR
    Isak - Havertz
    (Paulsen - Hall - Greaves - Jebbison)

Very nice. Jota risky as you know, but could be gold. No City attack an obvious issue, but you could get Foden in for Son eventually.

I also think you'll eventually want Palmer, but can't have them all.

I think I’ll swap Jota > Nkunku GW3 depending on minutes, then Havertz to Gakpo/Darwin in GW4.
I’d like Palmer, but I might hold onto Son until about GW7 > Foden

Thoughts on this no Haaland team… suggestions welcome for the keeper.

    4.5/4

Salah, Son, Diogo J, Gordon, Nkunku
    Isak, Muniz, Wood

Gone bigger at the back as I think all 3 of those outscore a 7m midfielder/striker

A player would be lucky to get 3 pts more than 10 times in a season tho, and that’s only 30 points unless you’re captaining them. I wouldn’t be picking someone like Bruno G at 6.5 over someone like Saliba at 6 for example, purely on the basis they might get BP from fouls won or shots etc

Starting to come down on the side of both Mo & Haaland to start the season; Haaland looking up for it already, & Salah fixtures have to be worth targetting (& he's an easy swap out if needs be)

Anyway, best use of 14.5m in this midfield please......

    Flekken (Valdimarsson)
    Gvardiol Andersen Guehi* (Faes 4.0)
    Salah CHO Nkunku ? ?
    Haaland Isak 6.0

    * assuming moves to NUFC

    1. Gordon & Eze
    2. Son/Saka & Winks
    3. Foden & Rogers

        I get it..
Not trying to compare Son as being as good as Halland in this game.

Yes, I current have Son in my team.
Yes, he would be one of the first gone if even a little dry spell happens .

    2. Saint & Reevesy
      • 14 Years
      2 years, 1 month ago

You are going to be riddled with anxiety.... picking a captain, Salah's fixtures, Salahs ownership, as you say Haalands hatrick and improved fitness etc etc etc......

I sort of get leaving halland out as the $6m between him and watkins can have a dramatic impact on the shape of your team, but Salah with his fixtures, relentless consistency and pre season form...... whats not to like?

      1. 3 A
        • 10 Years
        2 years, 1 month ago

Yeah.. u are right... But what if the points I get from another excellent players who play in good fixtures?

Have Son, Palmer, Foden (as cover), Saka, Isak & Watkins. All of these can be captain too for me.

        1. Saint & Reevesy
          • 14 Years
          2 years, 1 month ago

firstly palmer/foden and saka have had 0 minutes of preseason, so theres a chance (particularly with foden) that they might get benched for the first couple of gameweeks and eased in.

Presumably your defence is stacked too - drop a defender to 4.5 (there's loads of value here) and upgrade one of the mids to Salah - Anxiety averted.

            • 10 Years

              • 14 Years
              2 years, 1 month ago

I have both. But seriously considering moving Halland to watkins and then using the $6m to upgrade midfield. But only because salah is proven and has great opening fixtures so I have a go to captain option. For me Salah is essential.

but i've been wrong before too 🙂

Liverpool fans - will elliot hold down his place come GW1 or is he just a preseason place holder for the returning Nunez/Gakpo/Diaz?

Playing at 10 at 5.5m with those fixtures could offer some value.

City fans - similar question re Bob - will he play? in form for city at 5m.

    or are they both traps......

Looks good. The extra $6m for Watkins over haaland makes a difference. I've gone with Haaland and salah, but given Salahs fixtures he's a decent enough captain option to maybe roll the dice with a halland-less team, and then spread the funds.

Hudson based on his pre-season performance. But Forest as an attacking unit feels underwhelming.
