The 2024/25 UEFA Champions League (UCL) returns on Tuesday with Matchday 13 – and so does the competition’s official Fantasy game.

Ahead of the deadline, we’ve got a team reveal from Louis (FPL Reactions), our resident European football expert who co-hosts the official UCL Fantasy podcast.

Coming into Matchday 13, I almost think we could do with another few weeks without Champions League football. The sheer number of injuries is overwhelming, taking into account that many have recently eliminated Liverpool assets. Let’s take a look at each of my current team’s issues.

GOALKEEPERS

UEFA Champions League (UCL) Fantasy: Scout Picks Matchday 11 1

Alisson Becker’s exit means I don’t have a Tuesday goalkeeper, which isn’t ideal. My Wednesday stopper is Dortmund’s Gregor Kobel (€5.0m), about to face the best attack around. It’s far from ideal, but I generally don’t mind sacrificing goalkeepers at this point, as they bring limited potential.

DEFENDERS

Gabriel injury update: Defender ruled out for the season

In defence, there are even more problems to solve. Denzel Dumfries (€5.5m) is injured for several weeks, while centre-backs Gabriel (€5.5m) and Nico Schlotterbeck (€5.0m) are both done for the season.

My remaining two aren’t exactly great either: Bayern Munich’s Kim Min-jae (€5.2m) has been suffering with fatigue, whilst Inter’s Benjamin Pavard (€5.0m) hasn’t even been starting.

    Sels Saka/Rogers Saliba Milenkovic

Genuinely need advice on my BB options - unexpected volume of injuries has stopped me from saving up FTs

Current team (1FT) No WC (Still have TC FH BB)

    Pickford (Fabianski)
    Kerkez Robinson Munoz (Greaves Gabriel)
Murphy Salah Palmer Mbuemo Gibbs White
    Isak Evanlison Marmoush

Currently it doesn't make sense to even attempt a BB33 since ill needing to do over 4-5 at minimum transfers to get it viable which means -8 or more

So should i aim for a GW36 BB instead?

    Cheers and appreciated

Gordon's not going to play 2 90mins, so I'd do the swap

Given form plus minutes risk given he wasn’t in the squad yesterday (plus Barnes playing well so it’s not like they don’t have a replacement option for him and need to rush him back) I think probably worth it on a FT

If Gordon hasn't trained with the team this week, I would lean towards picking Barnes over Murphya

On the assumption of FH34. You will need Newcastle players for BGW34 if you don't have FH left.

Prefer Barnes low ownership and higher goal threat when comparing xG per 90 data

I'm in a similar situation - see my comment a few below.

I had planned 33, but I feel the fixtures favour the bench for 32.

If you don't use triple captain on Isak, when could you use it? Saka's minutes may be managed...

      City in 33? Or I'm sure there's a later double in 36/37

Is a Murphy captaincy gamble going too far vs safe pick of Isak? I’m considering it for a bit of fun

I had set up for TC Isak this week, and BB next. But this weeks bench feels stronger with Arsenal home to Brentford, Villa home to Southampton and City home to Palace.

So, to BB GW32 or GW33, that is the question?

    GW32
    Martinez
    Livra*, Munoz*, Gvardiol
    Salah, Murphy*, Eze*, Sarr*, Saka
    Watkins, Isak*
BB - Raya, Saliba, Konsa, Marmoush

    GW33
    Raya*
    Saliba*, Gvardiol*, Konsa*, Munoz*
    Salah, Eze*, Sarr*, Saka*
    Watkins*, Marmoush*
BB - Martinez*, Livramento, Murphy, Isak

I'll have 1FT to use on bench for 33 if needed.

Murphy pick seems knee-jerky after yesterday. Barnes is generally the bigger threat imo.

Barnes is back on the bench as soon as Gordon is fit. Murphy is secure starter on the right wing

Hi all, I have Schär Murphy Isak Muñoz and Mateta for the doubles, should I get rid of Savinho CRY (H) for another Palace mid, Eze maybe or do you think that’s enough double cover? Cheers…

Lol, 4 out of 5 defenders & 2 midfielders out of My UCL team so have to take a -4 to fill the slots.

I'll call that, 4 out of 5 defs, 2 mids and raise you a goalie.
