FANTASY EFL GAMEWEEK 4 TEAM REVEAL: THE STARTING SEVEN

GOALKEEPER
I think Stockport could have success this week against Burton at home. With that in mind, I’m backing Corey Addai (G). I’m not hugely keen on the Stockport defender options this week, which increases Addai’s overall appeal.
DEFENDERS
Reverting to the traditional back three worked wonders for me in the previous round, and I have no intention of changing that up this week. That may be the case, but it doesn’t mean I’m convinced by any of the defenders.
In fact, I think the fixtures are super tricky this week, with very little to choose from in terms of convincing options.
One player I am backing to perform though is Birmingham’s Christoph Klarer (D), who was one of my most consistent assets last season. Birmingham could well keep a clean sheet this week and Klarer has offered defensive contribution points and attacking threat in the past.
I’m far less convinced by Fleetwood’s James Bolton (D). But, a home match against newly promoted Oldham could mean multiple routes to points for their standout defender.
Swindon penalty taker Will Wright (D) also caught my eye this week. A home match against Shrewsbury screams potential to me, and Wright has different ways to earn points.
MIDFIELDERS
Midfield is another tricky position to fill.
Oliver Norwood (M) does feel like a shoo-in, though, so I expect him to be in nearly every team. Norwood takes penalties, set pieces, and plays for a Stockport side at home against a leaky Burton. You can’t really ask for much more in an asset this week.
The second midfielder slot was difficult. There are several punts you could take this week. Filling my spot is Isaac Price (M), who has gotten off to a blistering start for West Brom.
The Baggies have a promising home fixture against Portsmouth, which could see him continue his excellent form.
FORWARD
Picking my forward was relatively easy this week. I think Birmingham will score a handful of goals, and leading the attack is, of course, penalty taker Jay Stansfield (F).
Outside of Stansfield, I also like Josh March (F) of Crewe. March has been in exceptional form this season, and Crewe seem to be gathering momentum.
GAMEWEEK 4 TEAM REVEAL: CLUB PICKS
My team selections are very reflective of my player picks.
Birmingham and Stockport feel like two of the best teams to pick on paper. Both have excellent fixtures at home, and both have shown enough form to convince me they can win and win well.
Outside of these two teams, there aren’t many more who appeal to me.
