Liverpool v Arsenal team news: Martinelli starts, Odegaard + Eze subs

Liverpool take on Arsenal in the penultimate Premier League fixture before the international break.

Both teams have won their first two matches, but defensive frailties remain for the Reds, having allowed four goals against Bournemouth and Newcastle United.

Arsenal, meanwhile, are yet to concede this season.

Kick-off at Anfield is at 16:30 BST.

TEAM NEWS

Arne Slot makes one change from Monday’s 3-2 win over Newcastle United, with Alexis Mac Allister coming in for Curtis Jones, who drops to the bench.

Dominik Szoboszlai continues at right-back.

As for Arsenal, Eberechi Eze is named among the substitutes following his £60m move from Crystal Palace.

Gabriel Martinelli replaces the injured Bukayo Saka, while Martin Odegaard is only fit enough for bench duties.

Mikel Merino comes into central midfield as a result.

    Salah's form feels like a continuation of the dip towards the end of the season. Looks set for a far lower total than last season.

        Ya, tricky to see who's the standout FPL performer of the year. I suspect money / team value won't be a problem when setting up the team due to the minimal delta b/w top performers and middle performers.

    Negative tactics hoping for a draw against 2 awful defences. Setup defensively against United at old Trafford and got lucky with a set peice and sneaked a win

    Came to anfield for a draw and paid for it. Liverpool have been all over the place defensively this season. With the attacking talent Arsenal have they need to make a statement and come to win. Thats what champions do. That’s why they are where they are. Absolutely nothing changed

    As a Wirtz, Saka, Watkins & Rogers owner, would you recommend the wildcard if the latter two blank?
    I can always one or two in for GW5 at a lower price, maybe Wirtz before GW4 deadline
