hmm hmm, don't start Gudmundsson, but he might actually get a clean sheet, I don't think Spurs will.

It's an almost-obvious question (re form), but why the heck are droves getting rid of Wood before Burnley, THEN Sunderland?

Not the type of striker that suits Angeball

I don't care who it suits - WOOD WILL SCORE.

He can only score if he gets the game time...

Bad manager replaced the guy who turned Wood from a crap pick to a great pick.

Yeah, I get all that but had to shift Eki to JP before the rise. Not even owned him yet.

Dead Zone used to be a time to get some interesting discussions in with people who didnt just show up here to post a RMT. I remember when the site crashed because there were so many posts to load on a single page... Now it truly lives up to its name.

Looking at WC6 and I'm starting to think Salah + Haaland is actually the way.

Salah has an inevitability about him that means he's worth just holding for the 90 mins and pens. He can get jammy points in ways that the cheaper mids don't seem to be able to.

    Raya Dubravka
    Calafiori Lacroix Senesi Tosin Rodon
    Salah Semenyo Eze Grealish King
    Haaland Pedro 4.4m

You play 4-4-2 with the defcon moppers at the back. Tosin has been unlucky to get 9 DCs in 2 of the last 4 games but I think as the central CB in this Chelsea team he should in theory be the most reliable for DCs in a good defense.

I don't give up much upfront if you anchor it around Salah, Haaland, Semenyo and Eze. The last slot is variable depending on fixtures/form. Grealish, Kudus, Reijnders. Can give us some nice options.

I don't think Palmer and Gyokeres are better than like Salah + fodder and play a 4th defender.

Agreed. Just need one more transfer and with enough money ITB I can get Salah GW7. Yet it still may be Isak instead of Salah. See how things roll.

Isaks going to put the cat amongst the pigeons.

He might but it's not hard to do Salah + 4.4m > Isak + Gakpo for instance.

Doubt that we'll go Salah + Isak in the same team because either Salah continues to be the main man in which case Isak has no pens and gets rotated among the other attackers. Or Isak becomes more influential in which case Salah is expendable.

I meant Isak OR Salah. May be Salah's last salute.

I think it's a sound strategy in the short term, while the defenders are racking up CS points and there's a lack of good mid-priced options in midfield.

Longer term, I think something like Isak and Mbeumo/Eze/Gordon/Cunha/etc might be more fruitful once more of the teams start to click and the clean sheets inevitably start to dry up.

I'm not sure about this opinion.

"I don't think Palmer and Gyokeres are better than like Salah + fodder and play a 4th defender."

Boils down to your xMins on Palmer and Gyokeres.

    Also heading in that direction.

Current attack: Salah, Semenyo, Kudus, Reijnders, Haaland, Pedro, Ekitike (+4.4m)

Have 0.9m itb (with budget back line of Guehi, VdV, Chalobah, Petrovic) and thinkng will swap out Kudus for Eze as fixtures turn.

Though Grealish (for Kudus) and Gyokeres (for Ekitike) also a possibility. Of course, this will probably all change round next GW!

I’m planning WC8 and want to juggle forwards until then. I’ll roll in GW5 and will do the Salah to Haaland move in 6. Currently have Joao Pedro, Watkins and Wood up top.

As well as Haaland in 6, I want Gyokeres in 7. Money isn’t an issue. The challenge is deciding who to jump off and when.

GW6: Wood (SUN), Watkins (FUL), JP (BHA)
GW7: Wood (new), Watkins (BUR), JP (LIV)

So who do you sell in 6? And if it’s Wood in 6, who do you sell in 7?

Shitty start for the season here

    Sels ( Dub )
Guehi Porro Diouf (Guddmnssn / DeCuyper)
    Salah Wirtz KDH Reijnders Kudus
    JP Watkins Gyokeres

    1 FT / 2.1 ITB

    Do ?

A ) roll this week then do Wirtz, Watkins >> King, Haaland with 2 FT before GW6

    B ) WC

Hoping to save WC a few more weeks.

Is Watkins and Bruno > Haaland and PM Sarr (have exact funds) worth pulling the trigger on?

The only decision this week for me is captain. It's Salah vs Everton and settle for a whatever return, and even if it's a banger it doesn't make much difference, or Palmer vs United. The Chelsea midfield will tear United apart, I think. Massive potential for Palmer.

So boring pick of go for gold? What do you think?

Would you play King over Grealish? Merseyside derbies are usually a tight affair

I need to look at the defence properly like Tark etc and the goalkeeper.

But if I did wildcard this week, do you think that the right hand column is a significant upgrade to the left hand side?

This was a quick selection at lunchtime that I'd refine this week.

It loses Liverpool and goes early into Arsenal picks.

      From
      This ........ To this:

      Sels Roefs
      Dorgu Andersen
      Milenković Senesi
      Diouf Van de Ven
      Wirtz Semenyo
      Reijnders Caicedo
      Bruno. Eze
      Johnson Palmer
      Wood João Pedro
      Ekitiké Gyökeres
