Fantasy Gameweek 20 Reveals

NOTES

  • Josh Keeley gets the nod in goal thanks to a favourable home fixture against a struggling Port Vale side.
  • The backline features Aden Flint, whose home fixture, set-piece threat, and excellent clearance numbers make him a standout budget option. He’s partnered by Adebola Olowu, selected for his strong bonus potential and another promising home matchup.
  • In midfield, Amario Cozier-Duberry leads the way. He’s been one of the season’s standout performers, offering both goals and assists. Davis Keillor-Dunn joins him as he looks to build on his impressive nine-goal tally. Kelly N’Mai completes the midfield due to his ball-winning numbers and constant threat when driving forward.
  • Up front, Jay Stansfield takes advantage of a soft fixture against a Charlton defence that have shipped 13 goals in their last four matches.
  • Team selection leans into two in-form clubs this week: Middlesbrough, who enjoy a strong home fixture, and Southampton, who travel to out-of-form Norwich.
  • The armband goes to Amario Cozier-Duberry.

NOTES

  • Formation: 2-3-1
  • Captain: Amario Cozier-Duberry (BOL)
  • Team Picks: Walsall & Swindon
  • Rank: I’m starting to feel cursed this season. Double Gameweek 18 went badly, and I hoped Double Gameweek 19 would turn things around – then the Blackburn match got abandoned. Fingers crossed, Gameweek 20 finally breaks the cycle.
  • GK – Myles Roberts (WAL) – Roberts plays at home against a side averaging just 0.95 goals per 90, so the clean-sheet potential looks strong.
  • DEF – Omar Sowunmi (BRO) & Emmanuel Monthe (OLD) – Sowunmi remains an FEFL manager’s dream. He offers multiple paths to points through six goals, two assists, and a huge 164 defensive contributions. Monthe leads all League Two defenders with nine clean sheets and adds reliable bonus appeal through 177 defensive contributions.
  • MID – Amario Cozier-Duberry (BOL), Mitchell Pinnock (BRO) & Harry Anderson (COL) – Cozier-Duberry is impossible to overlook. He has 13 goal involvements (six goals, seven assists) in 18 appearances, including 10 at home. Pinnock tops the league for assists (nine) and regularly finds Sowunmi from set pieces. Anderson has produced 10 goal involvements (six goals, four assists) in 15 matches and now faces a Salford side with one of the poorest home defensive records in the division.
  • FWD – Dan Kanu (WAL) Kanu also sits on 10 goal involvements (eight goals, two assists) and meets a Shrewsbury team with one of League Two’s leakiest defences. He’s an easy pick this week.
  • Team Picks – I’m leaning heavily into the league’s top performers. Both Walsall and Swindon face clubs near the bottom of the table, and Swindon alone have netted 31 goals – almost the same as Shrewsbury and Bristol Rovers combined (33).

NOTES

  • I’ve opted for James Beadle in goal. Birmingham’s home fixture against Charlton looks strong, and their recent form at St Andrew’s has been impressive. They’ve established themselves as one of the better home defences in the division, which makes Beadle an excellent pick this week.
  • In defence, George Johnston comes first. Bolton have kept four clean sheets in their last five, and Johnston consistently offers defensive bonus potential. Alongside him is Aden Flint of Walsall. The Saddlers face a struggling Shrewsbury side at home, and Flint combines dependable defensive contributions with genuine goal threat.
  • Moving into midfield, Amario Cozier-Duberry remains a standout option. He carries multiple routes to points through key passes, shots on target and regular goal involvements. Charlie Whitaker joins him after scoring five goals in his last four matches, and Tranmere benefit from an appealing attacking fixture against Crewe. The final midfield slot goes to Leo Castledine, another player in excellent form with four goals from his last four. Huddersfield look strong at home and carry plenty of attacking upside.
  • Up front, Yousef Salech leads the line. The Cardiff striker has produced four goals and one assist in his last six and now faces a favourable matchup, making him a very easy inclusion.
  • For team picks, I’m backing Middlesbrough first. They’ve won three on the bounce under their new manager and look well placed to extend that run against QPR at home. Walsall follow, with a kind home fixture against Shrewsbury, giving them strong potential at both ends of the pitch.

NOTES

  • Josh Keeley benefits from Luton’s strong defensive structure and excellent home form. His shot-stopping has been reliable, and with Luton clear favourites this week, he looks well placed for another solid return against opponents who struggle to create consistent pressure.
  • Jordi Osei-Tutu continues to impress in his advanced role. Operating out of position as a winger, he offers far more attacking threat than his defensive label suggests. He has returned in each of his last three matches and brings pace, direct running, and confidence into a matchup that suits wide players.
  • Christoph Klarer brings calm and organisation to the heart of defence. His positioning and discipline fit perfectly into a controlled game state, and this fixture should allow him to dominate key phases without being overwhelmed.
  • Davis Keillor-Dunn remains one of the league’s most creative midfielders. His movement between the lines and late arrivals into scoring areas give him multiple routes to returns, and this week’s fixture should allow him to influence play both as a provider and a finisher.
  • Imran Louza is central to controlling Watford’s tempo. His passing range, set-piece involvement, and ability to manage transitions make him integral to their chance creation. Despite a recent setback, he has the quality and mentality to bounce back in a favourable matchup.
  • Amario Cozier-Duberry offers explosive pace and direct 1v1 ability. He thrives when attacking weaker defensive units, and his creativity gives him strong potential for both goals and assists this week.
  • Yousef Salech brings physicality, strong aerial presence, and sharp penalty-box movement. With his team expected to apply pressure throughout the game, he looks well-positioned for high-quality scoring chances.
  • Bolton enter the Gameweek with excellent balance and confidence. Their structure allows them to dominate possession and control territory, and the favourable matchup adds further appeal to backing their assets.
  • Luton remain one of the division’s strongest home sides. Their compact shape, intensity, and work rate consistently trouble visiting teams. Given the opposition’s defensive issues and transitional weaknesses, Luton look primed for another positive result.

NOTES

  • I think the 2-2-2 looks on this week for me. Keeley takes his spot between the sticks due to good clean sheet odds.
  • In defence, Bolton’s out-of-position Osei-Tutu feels like an obvious pick this week after back-to-back double-digit returns. I’ll keep an eye on the line-up just in case that changes. Birmingham City’s Christoph Klarer is the standout centre-back for me due to their excellent home form.
  • In midfield, Barnsley’s Davis Keillor-Dunn and Cozier-Duberry are absolute locks. The latter is the obvious captaincy option this week due to his multiple routes to points.
  • I’m not convinced by any third midfielders this week, especially after Imran Louza’s penalty miss. A mix of that and Southampton’s form makes me think that going with Adam Armstrong could be wise. Yousef Salech is also a lock due to his home match with Cardiff City.
  • Team picks are more up in the air. There are lots of great options this week, but ultimately I have opted for Bolton and Birmingham, and avoided heavyweights like Cardiff, Luton etc to save them for Double Gameweeks. Even Southampton, with potential away bonus, tempts me.
  • Good luck!
