Everton take on Manchester United in the penultimate fixture of Gameweek 3.

Kick-off at the Hill Dickinson Stadium is at 14:00 BST.

TEAM NEWS

Man Utd’s head coach, Michael Carrick, has unsurprisingly named an unchanged side after the victory over Ipswich Town last week.

Bruno Fernandes, Matheus Cunha, Marcus Rashford and Bryan Mbeumo, the most-transferred out player of Gameweek 3, are all starting.

Mason Mount is fit enough to take his place on the bench.

As for Everton boss David Moyes, he makes only one alteration from Gameweek 2.

Brennan Johnson comes in to replace Iliman Ndiaye following his move to Manchester City.

Deadline day arrivals Jack Grealish and Ainsley Maitland-Niles are both substitutes.

LINE-UPS

Everton XI: Pickford, Rohl, Tarkowski, Branthwaite, Mykolenko, Armstrong, Garner, Johnson, Dewsbury-Hall, George, Barry

Subs: Travers, Maitland-Niles, Keane, Grealish, O’Brien, Dibling, Alcaraz, Hackney, Graham

Manchester United XI: Lammens, Dalot, Maguire, Martinez, Shaw, Tielemans, Mainoo, Mbeumo, Fernandes, Rashford, Cunha

Subs: Darlow, Heaven, Mazraoui, Yoro, Santos, Dorgu, Mount, Sesko, Zirkzee

Looks like Man Utd and Everton will be battling it out for the conference leagues places this season then. Terrible quality.

A: Start all 3 of Haaland, Semenyo and Cherki and roll FT
B: Brobbey -> Wissa/DCL/Barry and bench one of the above

      Easy A.

Any of the B strikers could do well, but confident enough in them scoring higher enough compared to the City boys to be worth a FT? Not for me

Whats your thoughts of multiple players from same team?

    ie 3 Arsenal 3 Chelsea 2 city

Is it better to spread the funds or is it just great having lots from those 3 teams?

That was a strategy for week 1 and 2 only if you went that way. Get rid of 2 already

It was the strategy, Bruno went to bolster midfield, got me 131 last week so plan worked even if week 1 didn't, looking at wildcard strategy now

Treat each player independently. If you think (eg) Cherki is a top 5 midfielder and that Foden is a top 5, then they're both great options. Get them both. (I don't think they are personally, just an example)

Only times you should consider how many you already have from the team are:
1 - you want more than 3 and need to prioritise which 3
2 - they have a fixture torn coming soon and you know you'll want to transfer them out. You don't want to be booking in 2/3 transfers in this case.

3 ars and 3 Chelsea is overkill.
Double ars def is destroyed by 1 goal
Palmer and roger aint on form so without penalties you aint gettjng any GA
Saka is too inconsistent to merit that price.

2 arsenal - raya or cal plus tzolis/odegard/saka if you must, 3 city - haaland and cherki and gvardiol and maybe 2 Chelsea with JP and Rogers or hato/colwill makes more sense

Actually thought he’s been decent today, especially with his linkup with Shaw.

Cunha hasn’t been great at all. Needs more Sesko for Rashford and Mbeumo crosses

Cunha been awful as well just quality wise. The thing about rashford is he would have been a good player if he put in effort but hes just an egotistical trash teammate

Was about to say, I thought he’d be closer to the 10 as is after that half!

    2. Not sure why. Benched him vs this toothless Everton side.

Garner and Branthwaite keeping them in it.

Mbeumo and Cunha are woeful but always have a chance of getting something with Bruno there. Was expecting Shaw to be on 5/6 defcon after watching the first half but he's on 2...

Which option here? Palmer (C) and JP already in my team… original idea was to do B, but I think he’s very unlucky not to not haul again vs Cov and looks to have great partnership with Haaland….

    A) roll FT
    B) Cherki > Rogers
    C) Szobo > Rogers

I have money ITB enough to do C with 1FT.

    Some Season So far Reflections:
HULL HULL AND AWAY: With 2 clean sheets out of 3, seems Hull defence was the way to go v Coventry. Double Hull def the way to go: Egan and/or Mendy plus Goalkeeper.

ON BOARD SWEDISH EXPRESS TRAIN: As expected ISAK is finally starting to cook!! All those who ignored wise council to keep him are now clearly regretting it. His minutes will continue to be managed as Liverpool's only striker until Ekitike returns in Jan/Fen 2027 but time to jump on this Swedish express train as it gather speeds and leaves the station.

WIRTZ AND FLOP: As I told people pre season, do not buy wirtz [biggest flop ever] but many ignored that warning. Hey, the world would be a dull place without foolios to laugh at;-p The Wirtz at 10 experiment is an epic fail and about to end as he has been giving enough time to try and play himself into form without any sign of worthwhile success. Soon Iraola will finally start Szobozlai in the 10 and Liverpool will take off.

SPURS TO FIGHT RELEGATION AGAIN: Yes, despite spending over £400+mil, spurs have yet to get a win this season. Come MAY 2027, could they be 13th - 17th or fighting relegation for the 3rd season. Will the Mateus Fernandez relegation curse strike again [he was relegated at Southampton and then West Ham last season] and get spurs relegated? Will De Zerbi still be at Spurs in October following more losses or will he walk or be fired? When Spurs get dumped out of the cup at Liverpool will fans turns on De Zerbi? Top fan ExpressionsOozing has already given up. Seems like the smartest move at this point.

WOOP WOOP, DA SOUND OF NO TZOLIS: Arteta has a knack of tinkering to ruin top talent [Auba, Pepe etc]. Will Arteta confirm his FPL burial or will he still get a chance to prove the preseason expectation as buy of the season? Hold off on the move to Taverner over kluivert as his best replacement.

SANGARE FOOLED US: After a blistering week 1 prompting rise to 5.7mil, woefully poor week 2 and 3 followed. Wk 3 half time sub was precautionary due to being on a yellow card. However, are these 2 poor performances the real sangare for the rest of the season? Most likely hence not worth being in your squad. Enjoy your shopping spree with the 5.7mil
PS. Can someone in the US, tell Thiago the season has started and to return to Brentford;-p?

MAN CITY WOEFUL DESPITE 3 WINS: £325 Mil spent on midfield yet City struggle to trash Coventry as expected or did Coventry improve drastically? Haaland yet to get going properly with 1 goal wasting the triple captain unless others flop also using it on palmer at hull or bruno fernandes later on. Semenyo with an assist gets a reprieve. Cherki flopped proving the curse of FPL'S most bought player not returning any GA. Threat to Arsenal retaining the title yet to emerge under Maresca.

4.5mil DEF: Mitchell finally rewarded his owners with 2 goals following poor week 1 and 2 performance whilst budget 4.4m Konsa awaits if he plays at Chelsea cementing his place next to Gabriel until Saliba returns. However Dedic or De Cruyper are better alternatives than both going forward.

Further reflections to follow after Sunday's games. Feel free to request reflections on any FPL topics required.
