Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed that Florent Malouda is “available to play” against Liverpool on Sunday.

The Chelsea boss stressed in his afternoon press conference that Malouda had made a good recovery from the ankle injury that saw him miss Tuesday’s win over Spartak. He went on to confirm that Frank Lampard would miss out on Sunday and would not be considered until the Stamford Bridge clash with Sunderland next weekend. Michael Essien remains a doubt for Sunday with his toe injury still a slight concern.

Cech, Ivanovic, Cole, Terry, Alex, Mikel, Zhirkov, Drogba and Anelka were all confirmed in Ancelotti’s starting lineup. He went on to state that Essien or Ramires and Malouda or Kalou would complete the eleven.

The availability of Malouda comes as a major boost for Fantasy Managers and he would now seem likely to start at Anfield. It’s bittersweet news however – the consideration for Malouda owners now is that he could well miss out in one of Chelsea’s forthcoming home games against Fulham and Sunderland in the next week should he start at Anfield.

Earlier today we had confirmation that Nani would sit out of the Old Trafford encounter with Wolves and remain a doubt for City in midweek. Just moments ago we also had confirmation that Rafael Van der Vaart was out of the Bolton trip, while Aaron Lennon is a doubt for Spurs.

As always, all the very latest team news is being collected as it drops from the Manager’s mouths in our Team News section. Keep popping back and monitor the Twitter feed for the fresh new arrivals.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

    Thoughts on this plan?

    Baptiste > Coleman
    Berbs > Hernandez
    Petrov > Dempsey

-2pts, left with 0.6 in the bank.

Fabs, Malouda, Nani, VDV, Ferguson in Midfield...

Im thinking Nani > Arteta and VDV to Bale for a 4 point hit?

What do you think folks? Or shud i only do Bale to avoid the 0.4 nani will cost more to get back

Wahay, Greg is here, I personally am going for Obinna, only because I have to get rid of Heskey really and there is no spots in my midfield, Parker looks good for BP's and goals but when we play well (which were not) he generally doesn't do much attacking wise. He is definetly the best option in midfield and probably in out team at the moment.

C.Cole used to take them in the abscense of Noble but seeing as Cole is being rotated now it could be Piquionne or Obinna (Never seen Piquionne take a penalty mind), Parker will be in the mix too, Bit of a lottery to be honest.

      I don't think it's a bad shout.

For a long time this week I was thinking of doing this for a - 4.

Gohouri and Adam Johnson OUT (my last 2 players who never play)

      Vidic and Scott Parker IN.

In the end I went with Johnson straight to Arteta, but the Parker / Vidic move was a close second.

Avid fantasy football players must be the most insecure people on the planet. What should I have for dinner tonight, I was thinking of having a curry, but may go for a pizza or Kentucky instead, what do you think? I was thinking of saving the Kentucky till Sunday and rotating the pizza and curry maybe Friday and Saturday.

It depends what direction you are rotating the curry... I think you should go for some South Korean food in there too (Bit of a differential but is under rated IMO) perhaps take a walk in the park while you are doing so, make sure there are no dogs about though.

Help! I need to re-consider then, was planning:-

Malouda & Jara > Arteta and Alex (I would prefer A. Cole).

However now that Malouda may make the game, shall I do:-
Nani & Konchesky > Arteta and Alex? (I could switch Malouda for Nani later).

Seems as though I could be taking too many points hits though!

        Current team is
        Robinson, (Carson)
        Dann, Mummy, Konchesky, (Jara, Perch)
        Malouda, Fab, VDV, Nani, N’zogbia

Hmmm...This Malouda news is interesting. It’s almost a shame as i don’t see him getting much at Anfield. Worse still i can see Kalou starting and Malouda coming on after 70mins. Hey-ho- going to start him anyway i think- he might only need 10 mins to get one of those tap ins!
Anyway 2 questions if anyone’s got a sec:
        1) Who would you bench out of; Albrighton, Nzogbia or Konchesky.
        2) Is it worth doing Jara -> Crainey this week, just to give me some cover (if Malouda, Tevez don’t play for instance). Or should i just keep 2 transfers for Tuesday?

I did Jara to Crainey early on, just thankful Malouda is at least fit so may get some kind of game time. If Odemwingie doesn't play (but I am pretty certain he'll get at least some game time) I won't have a starting 11. That's the main thing this week, if you have 11 who are fit, stick with them.

Seems like Ossman is out for 6 weeks, could this further cement the starting place for Coleman?

        Afternoon boys and girls:

Can you pick two out of Barton, Carroll and Elmander to play for me. To make it simpler, who drops to the bench?

        Cheers

Well that's unanimous. Cheers guys, made it easy for me. Was thinking Elmander but thats probably my Spurs bias getting in the way!

Malouda can play! Thank you Carlo, you just made my tough team selection for this week so much easier...Anelka.

After a good last week, this could be a problem. I've got Bosingwa, O'Shea, Nani, Malouda & VDV. With back-ups such as Konchesky & Williamson, I'll have to take a hit.

        I was thinking either:

        a) Alex & Walcott
        b) Coleman & Fabregas

(transferring Bos & Nani in both occasions)

Which is better? Or am totally off?!

Just hold off on it I think. Nani might be back next week and Bos is likely to get some minutes in one of the two games next week.

No, they're both racking up the points quite evenly. If I make 1 transfer this wk it will be Arteta in (for Malouda) and I have Cahill already.
