Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed that Florent Malouda is “available to play” against Liverpool on Sunday.

The Chelsea boss stressed in his afternoon press conference that Malouda had made a good recovery from the ankle injury that saw him miss Tuesday’s win over Spartak. He went on to confirm that Frank Lampard would miss out on Sunday and would not be considered until the Stamford Bridge clash with Sunderland next weekend. Michael Essien remains a doubt for Sunday with his toe injury still a slight concern.

Cech, Ivanovic, Cole, Terry, Alex, Mikel, Zhirkov, Drogba and Anelka were all confirmed in Ancelotti’s starting lineup. He went on to state that Essien or Ramires and Malouda or Kalou would complete the eleven.

The availability of Malouda comes as a major boost for Fantasy Managers and he would now seem likely to start at Anfield. It’s bittersweet news however – the consideration for Malouda owners now is that he could well miss out in one of Chelsea’s forthcoming home games against Fulham and Sunderland in the next week should he start at Anfield.

Earlier today we had confirmation that Nani would sit out of the Old Trafford encounter with Wolves and remain a doubt for City in midweek. Just moments ago we also had confirmation that Rafael Van der Vaart was out of the Bolton trip, while Aaron Lennon is a doubt for Spurs.

As always, all the very latest team news is being collected as it drops from the Manager’s mouths in our Team News section. Keep popping back and monitor the Twitter feed for the fresh new arrivals.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Just watched premiership years. Chelsea were seriously good last season. How many goals do you think kalou would score if he was a starter!!

Feedback please, no luck so far.

What to do? Take another 4 point hit this week and bring someone in for Nani or VdV?

    Mignolet (Carson)

Simpson – Vidic – Elmohamady – Coleman (Foley)

Dempsey – Fabregas – Barton (Nani) (Van der vaart)

    Drogba – Chamakh – Odemwingie

Odemwingie is a green cross = doubtful. WBA reports have stated that he has been in training this week, with no further indication of whether the manager will play him this week. Your guess is as good as mine.

s*** meant same bench (!), plus coleman starting! The only possibility of you not being able to feild an 11 is mummy mbut id say he is 90% going to start. I have him too and am confident. I'd rate Coleman at 50% though. Still stick?

Thats my plan RE VdV next week

Ive got a similar dilemma. Same front 3 but Cleverley and Brunt instead of Barton + Alcaraz Konch Bosingwa and Jones in defence. I cant decide whether to do
      Nani to Bale
      Jara/Bos/Konch to anyone
or both for a 4pt hit which might mean bringing Nani back is difficult.
I reckon your team is more solid than mine though especially in defence so maybe just leave it

Having already axed Malouda this week i'm actually pretty please with this.

    1) The injury scare gave me the balls to do what was a good decision (allowed me to spread the funds around to ensure I had definate starting XI for the three GWs in rapid succession);

2)Less worried now he will play in the two easy home games.

That said as a Liverpool fan i'm now bricking it that he'll score on Sun as that will really hurt. Imagine Ivanovic will do the damage though, he is in a rich vein and always seems to score against us.

He's one of my favourite players to have in fantasy, no-one in my mini leagues ever seems to pick up on him, and when he's fit he scores points for fun.

That said, he's a feckin crock. I'm gonna wait and see what Wenger does before doing anything hasty, not least because Arsenal have options up front.

Ignore this, I was going to do an RMT but rabbled on and can't not post it.

Tough one, Shall I get in Piquionne for Heskey or Obinna, Or someone else? I am going to downgrade Nani -> Arteta and no doubt I will want him back in a few weeks, getting Piquionne would allow me to be able to get Nani back in (Why get rid?) Well, my team isn't looking exactly good, VDV out as well with Malouda maybe getting rotated (Although I see him benched against Fulham). What is the likelihood of Nani losing 0.2 ?? I see him losing at least 0.1, What about Arteta rising 0.2? Likely? I think I might go for Obinna, I won't want to get rid of Arteta anyways, Perhaps Malouda -> Nani in GW14.?? I may be thinking to far ahead to say the least. Actually, that seems like a plan, looking at Chelsea's fixtures after these two... Lets go!

      1) Keeping. Will likely be back for the Manchester Derby so may only miss one game. Plan was to sell Malouda for Arteta and I think that should still be the plan, although I may hold off on that one this weekend as it sounds like he'll play on Sunday now.

    Coleman/Simpson/Elmohamady

    Fabregas/Adam/Nolan

    Drogba/Berbatov/Chamakh

Confirmed not playing are: Al-Habsi, Bosingwa, Jara, Van der Vaart, Nani

Have already used my freebie. What do you guys think? Is it worth taking a 4 point hit to get 11 players playing and if so, who to drop and replace with?

Think I've decided on my move ror the week. I was planning on initially doing Nasri for Arteta in the next week or two but I can just bring him in for Nani leaving me just enough money to bring back Nani for Nasri when he's fit. Leaves me with the following:

    Foster
    Elmo - Baines - Enrique
    Adam - Nasri - Fab (C) - Arteta
    Drogba - Hernandez - Carrol

    Hahnemann - Bosingwa - VDV - Jara

Look good? Really didn't want to play any of the Newcastyle boys this week at the Emirates but looks like I'll have to. Should I start Bosingwa over Enrique in hopes he comes in with 20 mins to go and scores one? 😉

Bring in Bale for a trip to the Reebok just after a CL game. You crazy?

Sounds OK to me especially with VDV out.

How're ye lads with Bosingwa, Nani, Van der Vaart and Tevez in my team I have to ditch one.
Either Van der Vaart --> Bale & lose .3m value
    or Nani --> Arteta & lose .4m

Thinking Nani since he has Man City midweek (which he could also miss)

    Suggestions always appreciated.

i'd keep both and drop tevez, as spurs and mu have better short term fixtures than citeh

Hmmm, think i'm going to bench Malouda anyway. Playing 3 Chelsea players away from home at anfield is risky. Charlie insomnia to the rescue.

You mean you’re going to take such a large amount of cocaine that you stay awake until transfer deadline? Nice
