What to do with Coutinho and Mitrovic?

Worth a hit to ditch them both or just drop one?

    1. Boo Ya Ka Sha
      • 10 Years
      9 years, 8 months ago

Coutinho doesn't play because Klopp wants him healthy for Europa League. Mitrovic doesn't play because the waiter prefers Cisse. I'd drop both, starting with Mitrovic. Keep an eye on how many minutes Coutinho plays on Thursday.

    2. Boo Ya Ka Sha
      • 10 Years
      9 years, 8 months ago

I'm thinking of keeping Coutinho because I'd like to think he is capable of playing at least one of the games. If not, Coutinho > Payet. Mitrovic > Defoe.

    3. Amateur Pundit Zan
      • 12 Years

      Mitrovic out.
I might just bench coutinho this week in the hope Liverpool crash out of Europe and sell for a hit next week. Chances of him playing this week are slim to none so if you don't have decent bench cover get rid.

Double gameweek. He's quick and isn't afraid to shoot. Sunderland have something to play for as well.

i need ur opinion on these please for dgw (wc + bb). i want 4 west ham players. 100% surecon payet. so i need to remove one of the following.

    1. cresswell (great attacking potential but west ham cant keep cleen sheet). thinking of azpi instead? got one from each other dgw team.

    2. lanzini (best in his price and cant think of anyone else with dgw as good). anyone u recommend? maybe lingard with dgw?

    3. carroll (i got augero and defoe as well). anyone else to replace him? rashford or martial maybe? just thinking man utd have great fixtures till the end of season

Carroll and Lanzini have less mins recently? Depends on what other players you'd get of course.

      I'd leave out Carroll personally.

On a wildcard, I'd seriously look at Sturridge. I know the trouble with their rotation- but he really is on fire. Also one of the Man U attackers as you said.

I don't see many midfield options for Man U and presume you'd have someone like Milner anyway?

milner so far yes but still with the rotation as sturidge. i think augero is better if sturidge will play only once

Tough. I'd say Lanzini but his price is right. Dropping Cresswell for a cheaper defender like PVA, Kirchoff, Klose, etc. may be ideal.

To be honest. None of them are essential. Plenty of options across all positions, lanzini probably the hardest to find a good alternative, plenty of good strikers about though Carroll is good value. So creswell the most expendable

Also should I keep hold of Rashford or take a hit for Defoe in 37? Thanks

      1. noquarternt

I'm keeping Rashford personally- they're really within touching distance of Arsenal.

I think both are good picks- I'm going for PvA in a similar move.

        1. VanDerStar
          • 14 Years
          9 years, 8 months ago

Yeah I think I might stick with Rashford too, United are still fighting for a top 4 spot so they still have something to play for.

Do you think Cresswell or PvA will score more points this week? I'm leaning towards getting PvA in atm

            • 10 Years

Tough, Stoke and West Brom are both on holiday already- Sunderland seem to be better at keeping clean sheets though as West Ham's motivation is attack and not worry if they lose.

            1. VanDerStar
              • 14 Years
              9 years, 8 months ago

It's a tricky one no doubt but I think I'll go for PvA...Stoke have been really poor and Sunderland have tightened up at the back lately, and West Ham always seem to concede since their motivation is to attack as you pointed out.

    Robles Darlow
    Bellerin Alderweireld Sakho Simpson Fosu-Mensah
    Sanchez KDB Payet Mahrez Milner
    Aguero Kane Defoe

Who to get rid of first?

    Sakho, Mitrovic, Coutinho, KDB, Gabriel.

    1. Mark-O

Hey mate! Sakho for sure and Coutinho next if you are tight on cash
Unsure about Mitrovic as the love for Cisse might persist.

      1. Geordienufc1
        • 12 Years
        9 years, 8 months ago

Hey mate, yea it's been a shocker. I see Cisse continuing to start, even though I disagree with it.

The issue is I have only 0.1 itb so I can't do Coutinho -> Payet without downgrading Sakho by 0.1, which means I then can't afford PvA.

On the other hand, if I got rid of KDB, it would give me the money to do KDB -> Payet, Sakho -> Cresswell.

    Schmeichel (Gomes)
    Daniels, Simpson, Sagna, Bellerin, Creswell
    Mahrez, Barkley, Alli, Payet, Sanchez
    Aguero, Rashford, Lukaku

So I still have Barkley and Lukaku. I'm thinking Lukaku -> Carroll, keep Barkley for Bournemouth game (whilst praying) and go Rashford -> Ighalo/Defoe.

I also need to lose Sagna though and like the look of PvA with DGW in mind but is that worth a hit this week with Stoke away?

    1. Flying Dutchman

      I'd lose Barkley before Lukaku.
      At least Lukaku has pens!
Maybe Firmino or a Che Mid?
Also a hit for Sagna > PVA.

        Good point on pens.

So I guess now it's a case of wether or not to take a hit for Barkley.

I honestly think Norwich have better fixtures than Chelsea, both with DGW's.

Surely Robbie Brady can't take me to the top of my ML...

        Ahhh decisions.

I would personally stay away from Pool players. GW36 especially as Pool would be returning from the away Europa league game (expecting full squad to play in the away game). This would mean immense changes.
The week that follows - depends on the minutes each player plays.

You are asking questions that no one has the answer to and can only provide a best guess. Mind you that's 90% of the posts in here! So I don't Lovren is more nailed no, because he is first choice. Toure and Skrtel most likely will play 36 and one game in 37.

        The rational manager wouldn't.

But it's not a really rational season is it? 🙂 but in all seriousness, a good pick. My gf went with Mannone in GW33 WC ahead of any GW34 keeper....10 + 11 points later and she's the one laughing.

OK Budgie needs high quality advice, money is riding on these decisions!

    Robles/Darlow
    Sakho Rojo Simpson Rose Bellerin
    Sanchez Ozil Milner Alli Lanzini
    Kun Sturridge Mitrovic

    1FT.

    Sakho > PVA for free

Would you do Mitrovic > Defoe for a (-4) as well??? Or something else. Or is this the game Mitrovic finally starts, NEW have CPL avl in the next but Defoe obviously three games and two at home.

    1. Shifty
      • 12 Years

Hmm I would get rid of Mitrovic first.

You have 3 playable defenders in this week, why go for PVA? I think Defoe has higher upside. Carroll a decent pick as well personally.

Sakho to PVA makes a lot of sense, and it looks like Mitrovic will continue to be a permanent impact sub.
So the first one definitely, and then Mitrovic to Defoe/Carroll whoever takes your fancy.

In other news, any regular FPL players seriously reconsidering playing again next season?

Feeling pretty tired of it at the end of a long, winding, unpredictable and painful season after last season's heights.

Can't decide if I am a fan of the chips. It's helped me out for sure to catch up on ML leaders. On the other hand, it feels unfair - ML leader (well now ex leader) has been leading the whole season, making great decisions along the way. Got his lead wiped out by a well played TC from an FPL rookie. Feel sorry for him, but more importantly, the fact an FPL rookie who hasn't owned Aguero all season until GW33 (WC-ed Aguero in) is now ahead in my ML....it doesn't seem right.

Defo playing again, but need to streamline the amount of time I spend on it. I realised my best decisions come to me when swimming. So....browse forums maybe twice a week, and scoutcast if I can, then go for a long swim.

Feel you. Really should've retired after last season after more than a decade playing, but keep coming back again for supposedly bragging rights. I agree that it's getting more stressful with all these chips, and late DGWs to manage.

What a mess ML. At least in my MLs we have the same contenders again and again.

      1. Shifty

The last 5 seasons, the top 3 in ML have been me + the same 2 others.

This season, the three of us are a ways back...with the current top 3 = 1 rookie, 2 managers who've never finished top 1.5 million before and have been playing for a few seasons already.

Sums it up really. But of course, you have good FFSers who are having great seasons too...so we can't really say the regulars are struggling. Having a good start was very important this year, more so than previous seasons.

Yeah true that. Funny season + bad, catastrophic decisions made by me are my downfalls. Really should've used the 1st WC early. Both of us + Dr Agabuse + Innsie + TM should make a grouphug, but good to know that Jonty and co are doing well this season.

Current midfield is: Sanchez, Payet, KDB, Coutinho, Iwobi.

Shopping around for a replacement for KDB/Coutinho. Thoughts?
    Townsend? Fabregas/Hazard?
