In a busy week that focused largely on the World Cup Fantasy games, the Premier League fixture release also caught our attention on Thursday.
Hot Topics were in abundance as we fine-tuned our squads for Russia 2018, though some also took time to assess the domestic schedules for next season.
Meanwhile, as one Community Tournament ended another one began as we indulge in a packed month of international action.
The Community Articles
Rather than pen a new Community Article, Stoichkov#8 posted the results of his recent Community Tournament in the original piece, where all team selections and discussions were made.
Results can be found below in the Community Tournaments section.
Don’t forget: if you’ve got some analysis, scout reports, or features brewing, visit our community section to submit your article and let Geoff know – geoff@fantasyfootballscout.co.uk.
New articles are always welcome.

FFFrøg makes a case to have an active bench, instead of the high-priced assets like Neymar and Lionel Messi.

J0E’s contribution this week came via a World Cup Scoutcast and a Premier League Fixtures Scoutcast.
Also, just a reminder to all to try to keep RMTs in RMT Hot Topics, when they’re available. Mods will be made aware when these Hot Topics are made and will try to be active to respond to RMT queries in the RMT-specific Hot Topics.

J0E also gave us a couple of Members’ Tables to consider, with the first looking at the World Cup whipping boys.
The second he calls World Cup goalalicious teams and attempts to predict which sides we could expect significant returns from.
Community member ambergambler created a Forwards on Fire table assesses the most important attacking statistics from forwards.
Our Members Tables can be found in the Members Only area in the Stats Tables section.
The Community Tournaments
Stoichkov#8’s World Cup Friendlies tournament came to an end with Fantasy Football Scout moderator Niemi taking the title – he finished six points ahead of André94PT. Rony1993 was one point ahead of Stoichkov#8, who just missed out on third place.
Stoichkov#8 finished his tournament by posting the tournament’s Dream Team and giving a Best of the Best, awards for things other than simply finishing first. Unsurprisingly, Niemi won many of these awards.
Huge thanks to Stoichkov#8 for his hard work organizing and running this tournament.
Jarvish started a simple Yes/No Community competition, where those who join make specific predictions, which Jarvish will tally at the end.
Those who didn’t sign up at the beginning will be at a disadvantage, but the competition can be seen here.
