Harry Kane (£11.0m) has overtake Kyle Walker (£6.0m) as the most popular World Cup Fantasy asset in England’s squad ahead of today’s meeting with Panama.

The Tottenham man scored both goals in the Three Lions win over Tunisia in Gameround 1 to convince 4.4 percent of managers to bring him into their squads.

That transfer market shift has taken Kane’s ownership to 9.7 percent, and above the previously most popular man in England’s ranks Walker, who sits in 8.6 percent of squads.

Ironically, Kane is not the most-owned player in this fixture. That honour falls to Panama’s budget striker Ismael Diaz whose price of £4.5m has led 10.2 percent of World Cup Fantasy managers to include him in their squads. The 21-year-old is not a sure starter for Panama and played just 27 minutes against Belgium in Gameround 1.

Elsewhere in the Panama squad, no other players have more than 2.3 percent ownership.

After Kane and Walker, Jesse Lingard (£7.0m) has the most owners in England’s ranks. The Manchester United midfielder had three big chances to score against Tunisia and is expected to continue in similar fashion against Panama.

Meanwhile, Kieran Trippier (£5.5m), who created six big chances in Gameround 1, is in just 5.7 percent of squads, his ownership perhaps tempered by a tough fixture against Belgium coming up in Gameround 3.

As a non-Kane owner, he should've given the ball to Stones to complete his hat-trick 😛

Panama team in middle field reminds me Hull City and Jimmy Bullard at the half time against Man City winning 5-0.

If Kane keeps it up he could find himself at a big team come the start of the season!

His record has been amazing even before this WC so if he goes it won't be because of the WC tbf.

England very lucky that half. Can’t see them keeping their lead.

Panama will be a different team in the second half.

Chile, Netherlands, Wales, Italy, USA, Austria, Slovakia, N. Ireland, Romania, Ireland, Paraguay, Venezuela, Turkey, Ghana, DR Congo, Greece, Cameroon.

All are ranked higher than Panama and didn't make this World Cup.

No Kane in my team and rival has him captain. He was 20 odd behind so now ahead by a 2 or 3 points, but who cares about fantasy footy this is brilliant!

Might just be a gain of 16/17 points?

I am genuinely delighted for England.
Been a refreshing change the way Southgate has brought this squad together, playing with freedom and Panama thoroughly deserve to get shamed here.

They look worse than saudia Arabia and to think teams like Italy Netherlands Chile missed out while they got in

This England team has been a breath of fresh air. They have every chance of getting to the semi's at least. Depends if they will play freely against the big boys later in the tournament but if they play with no fear/respect then they have a good chance of doing very well. Still though it will take a huge luck for them to win the WC.

That 4th England set piece goal was good. It is almost like England have looked at the stats and worked out that it is very hard to score from central set pieces so have come up with a plan to create an angle to get the cross in. Hopefully it was not a one-off and England have some other set piece plays in their book.
