With many users on their Wildcard, there are many Rate My Teams (RMTs) on site. Let’s try to collect them here.
Site regular and moderator Gregor has given us his Wildcard team and some explanations of his choices. Feel free to comment on his team.
This is also a place for you to post your team, and please respond to a few others while you’re at it!
Mods have been alerted, and will spend some time on these pages responding.
Let’s try to keep the main article pages free from RMTs!

Goalkeepers
Begovic and McCarthy – I like to have a choice of goalkeepers and someone to fall back on in case of injuries, etc; I also don’t trust Hamer so i’ve gone with these two. Their home fixtures normally rotate quite well – McCarthy’s looking good for saves and Bournemouth seem to have tightened up at the back. I also like the Patricio and Hennessey rotation but as I’ve got those defences covered I decided to look elsewhere.
Defence
The holy trinity – Alonso, Mendy and Robertson. Don’t think this needs much explaining other than to say I had started the season with Van Dijk due his threat at corners and feeling that Robertson will miss the odd game around the Champions League, but given Van Dijk has yet to have a single shot and the strength of my 4th and 5th defenders to fall back on, I’m now going with Robbo.
Doherty and Wan-Bissaka – Bargainous attack minded defenders playing for solid defensive outfits and their favourable fixtures seem to rotate rather nicely. I may even play Doherty over Robertson this week.
Midfielders
David Silva – Nicely priced, posting good underlying numbers and hopefully should be pretty secure for starts for the time being at least given his international retirement and De Bruyne’s absence.
Salah – The Egyptian Messi – He stays.
Ramsey – Looks to be more in favour than Mkhitaryan and should thrive in a central attacking role. A nice differential with good fixtures, all for a reduced £7.4m.
Pedro – Probably a placeholder for Richarlison who I might look to bring back in a week or two but will see how it goes. Nice and rested during the international break so will hopefully compensate for having no Hazard over the next couple of plum fixtures for Chelsea.
Danny Ward – Easily benched given Cardiff’s fixtures but has an attacking threat that you don’t often find at his price. I also like the look of Hojbjerg though and could go with him to save an extra £0.1m.
Forwards
Aguero – If I hadn’t wildcarded I would have seriously considered playing my triple captain on Kün this weekend; the leaky Fulham defence seems a much better bet for a haul than the well organized Newcastle one last time out.
Mitrovic – Probably my biggest regret so far this season is not sticking with Mitrovic in my initial draft and going with King due to fixtures. I fancy he might even do well at City this weekend in what I hope to be an open game.
Wilson – Form and fixtures align to make Wilson hard to resist, more shots in the box than any other player this season and if he can start converting more big chances then he’ll really be in business. I barely even considered him at the start of the season as I had him last year and he did nothing for ages but it’s an easy downgrade to Ings or Jiminez if the goals do dry up.
Notes
No Man United, as I don’t trust them at the moment and a win over an insipid Burnley could just be papering over the cracks.
No Spurs due to stadium issues, potential fatigue given their players international excursions, and a tough Champions League group. Might look at changing David Silva to Son or Moura in a few weeks though if one of those looks to have secured their start.
