Joe returns for Fixtures Release video and podcast

For many Fantasy managers, like Joe and David, the release of the fixture schedule is when planning for the next campaign can begin in earnest.

Our podcast pair take a look at the newly released fixtures for the 2019/20 season and the key issues they are facing, most notably which teams have the best favourable early games.

Premium captaincy options from last season’s top sides also come under scrutiny as does the teams with a horrific start to the campaign.

Cheap and premium rotation options also get an airing, with Spurs, Arsenal, Brighton and Bournemouth assets among those to consider.

The long-term schedule is another area that Joe and David take in, such as Liverpool’s involvement in the World Club Competition in December and February’s winter break. Further breaks for international matches are looked at. This is particularly useful for those looking to deploy their Wildcard early in the campaign.

The video version of Joe and David’s chat can be seen here, or via the first player below.

While the podcast version can be viewed here, or via the second player below. The podcast can also be accessed via Fantasy Football Scout’s Soundcloud channel.

    Welcome back Joe

Looking at fixtures I can't see past the template defence that has already been touted:

    Fabianski - 4.0
    TAA - Robbo - Laporte - Digne - 4.0

      I agree.

As a few people have mentioned, if Zinchenko keeps his place ahead of myknee he could prove to be a cheaper option in.

How is there a template when the game hasn't launched yet!

The new template formed literally a day after the season ended. Go through some of the old posts - you'll see references to Fabianski, double Liverpool defence, Laporte, Digne, Mane / Salah, Sterling, Aguero/Auba

More a wishlist than a template at the moment.

Prices of players is surely going to put paid to that though.

A Palace defender would rotate well with Digne if you can't stomach those GW 14 to GE18 fixtures for Everton.

We have transfers to use, not a chance am I caring about GW14 right now.

Also works for GW7 and GW11. In fact, they are the perfect rotation pairing (EVE / CPL). Avoids all the Top 6 for 38 GWs and only tricky fixtures are GW11 and GW33 (Leicester home and away). Beautiful.

Maybe not Fabianski, but those 4 are pretty much nailed for me right now.

Hope FPL have their eyes open and price all these players along with top midfield options like sterling and salah way up. No template please...

Agreed. Salah wa a good example this season. Priced perfectly, many had him but plenty went without and used the money elsewhere.

Not sure you'll afford that. Robbo and Trent will both be 7.0, Laporte 6.5 or more, same with Digne.

Ritchie as a defender will cement back 5’s for many i’d imagine

      4.5
      TAA-Robbo-Digne-Laporte-Ritchie
      Sterling-Salah-X-X
      Vardy-X

      Will surely be very template

Fabianski has great fixtures up to GW12. If there is a Sheffield Utd GK at 4.0 who is nailed that would be ideal as a rotation option for Fab.

I’d love Henderson to get another year at Sheffield Utd, or even a permanent move - they were so solid defensively last season I’d just fire & forget him along with his 4.0 backup - save points vs top 10 & CS’s vs bottom 10

The extra 0.5 for Fab is probably going to be needed to fund Salah/Sterling/Vardy for me along with TAA/Robbo/Digne/Laporte/Ritchie

          Hopefully prices are kind

Looks like Wesley joining Villa from Club Brugge - should mean Tammy Abraham will not go back there then.

Also sounds like Fornals to West Ham will happen tomorrow too just to make the WH attacking midfielder slots even more confusing.

Probably 5.5 unfortunately as he did well last season (latter half) priced at 5 and Everton have great opening fixtures which I feel plays a part

SSN discussing new rules keep showing Lacazette free kick against Bournemouth saying the goal would be disallowed now as attacking team can’t have players in the wall. Surely the players would not be allowed in the wall before the kick was taken rather than the goal disallowed?

Would love to hear if it could help more people, then maybe mods can add this feature.

The option was on your FPL homepage if that's what you mean.
You could save drafts, watchlist, possible transfers.
Not sure if this is what OP is referring to though.
