How newly-promoted players performed in Gameweek 1

A number of newly-promoted players caught our attention in the opening weekend of Fantasy Premier League action.

Norwich City were thrashed 4-1 at Liverpool but still caused their illustrious hosts plenty of problems.

Meanwhile, Aston Villa proved a stiff test for Spurs on Saturday evening while Sheffield United were the first of last season’s promoted clubs to earn a point in 2019/20.

We’ve gone over the numbers to see which of their players could provide some value this season.

As this article uses data from the Fantasy Football Scout Members Area, only those who have signed up for the 2019/20 campaign can access it in full.

                    It's the 'huth' of someone who learns tactics of 'Football Manager'. If I have to talk in those terms, think of the position as "Fullback position in Wingback (attack duty)".

                perhaps because Pep has played Zinchenko, Laporte, Sane & Delph there ? none of those are natural left backs

                An inverted winger works well ( almost preferred), so why not an inverted right footed left back that cuts back in ?

              None of us have seen Angelino, but I think it very unlikely he was brought back to go straight into the first team.

                not saying Angelino goes straight in, but he is actually a left back and the only fit left back in the City squad.

                Zinchenko was slotted in at left back because he was one of the few left footed options Pep had, he has done ok but I am not sure he is by any stretch the answer to how Pep wants to play
