FPL Question Time – Consult our panel ahead of Gameweek 4

Fantasy Premier League managers have plenty of big decisions to make ahead of Gameweek 4.

It’s the last round of fixtures before the first international break of the campaign so it will be important to go into the week off in a good position.

To help you do that, we’ve put together another panel of Fantasy managers to help you with any dilemmas you may have.

Who’s on the panel this week?

FPL General – Contributor to the Scout site who has three finishes inside the top 400 in the last five seasons and who has a huge following on Twitter. General – aka Mark – also appears regularly on the official FPL Show.

Ben Crabtree – A former FPL winner, who claimed the title in 2016/17 without using a single Liverpool player.

Ted/Rotation – Moderator and the site’s recently appointed Assistant Community Manager. Ted finished 633rd in the world last season.

Bowstring the Carp – Two top 1k finishes (126 and 754) and one of our best community article writers. Recently wrote some excellent pieces on Pep Guardiola and his tactics.

                I used the app when it first came out but hated it for many reasons. Website version has been the place to go but has been slow to implement crucial things this season.

            I’ve got the same issue.
            I hope they fix all these minor bugs. Weird how everything worked so much better last season.

            Only 2 points difference but I'm sitting at high 16k, lol. Hard to tell with your team.Not the biggest fan of Ake but I don't know if he's worth a TF. Perhaps Perez. There's always a chance Albrighton gets to start. Lot's of nice assets in that price range. That being said, I think your team looks quite solid.

            Barnes always looks terrible but has learned to shoot really well it seems, and does so at every chance. Haller is a much more complete player, so will beat players, provide assists. Both options A and C are good. I’ve got Haller and I might make space for Barnes after Liverpool depending on how he looks in that game. If he looks sharp, even if he doesn’t score then yeah - he’s a must for that run from gw5

          I’m guessing everyone’s holding Martial until further news, but if he is out this weekend are people getting rid or keeping, Ive got no bench outside of Montoya and Greenwood (maybe) so not sure whether to take a hit or just play one of them?

              Really not sure. He affords a fwd upgrade but feels stupid to take a hit for one game out then international break.
              Main worry is that Martial + injury isn't a new thing. In your case Greenwood may come in though

            -> I loose KDB, but get to keep Kane for a good run of fixtures, forced to play Lundstram if Martial is out

            -> I get 2 FT for IB to do a mini WC -4/-8

            this gk need having to a foot on the line is really unfair on gks. As it is, it is difficult to save a penalty.
            That's how Aguero scored in gw 1. If such rules are introduced, then penalty takers should not stutter or nobody should enter the box before the penalty is taken.

              Aguero is key to the City team, and his 2 goals last weekend proved that. He should play 60+ minutes each week. Still think this will be an Aguero dominated season, but perhaps the last?

                I would see what the injury update is on Martial. If he is ruled out, I would pop Greenwood in, otherwise Hayden is your best bet.
