Fantasy Premier League managers have plenty of big decisions to make ahead of Gameweek 4.

It’s the last round of fixtures before the first international break of the campaign so it will be important to go into the week off in a good position.

To help you do that, we’ve put together another panel of Fantasy managers to help you with any dilemmas you may have.

Who’s on the panel this week?

FPL General – Contributor to the Scout site who has three finishes inside the top 400 in the last five seasons and who has a huge following on Twitter. General – aka Mark – also appears regularly on the official FPL Show.

Ben Crabtree – A former FPL winner, who claimed the title in 2016/17 without using a single Liverpool player.

Ted/Rotation – Moderator and the site’s recently appointed Assistant Community Manager. Ted finished 633rd in the world last season.

Bowstring the Carp – Two top 1k finishes (126 and 754) and one of our best community article writers. Recently wrote some excellent pieces on Pep Guardiola and his tactics.

    Interesting research: https://mobile.twitter.com/rogue_wee/status/1166360394258100226

    - would indicate that xA from FFS (data from Opta) is more accurate indicator of future assists than the xA calculated by understat.com. It's certainly not the best indicator though but it's something worth knowing imho (differences are in methodology, more details in the link).

    Refining my WC team:

    Pope 4.0
    Laporte TAA Digne Soyunco Lundstram
    Sterling Salah KDB Mount (Dendoncker)
    Haller Pukki (Greenwood)

Rotate Soyunco & Lundstram in 442

    Thoughts?

Look at Emerson. Tasty differential, amazing stats and excellent defensive fixtures barring Pool in GW5.

      Bargain at 5.5.

Chelsea play Wolves in G.W. and can't keep a clean sheet at present so relying on attacking returns only it seems.

    Which makes more sense?

    1. Haller Pukki Barnes and have Sterling, Salah and KDB in midfield.

    Or

    2. Aguero (one of the above forwards) and drop one of Sterling, Salah or KDB.

    A - Dendoncker to Cantwell
    B - Moura to Mount

I prefer B long term but I'll have to play one of Dendoncker, Lundstram or Rico this GW and can't see any of them getting more than 2 points, hence the question.

    Thanks!

On my wildcard, best 4.4 or below defender that isn't Lundstrum. (already own)
    A) Kelly not sure on playing time once Tomkins and Sakho are back
    B) Guilbert played this week, is he nailed now? A lot of pre-season hype
    C) Rico like Kelly not sure on playing time once others return.
    D) Balbuena seams to be dropped for no reason.
    E) Taylor (Burnley) I thought he was first choice, but Pieters playing there.
    F) Some one else
Really don't want a non playing bench player.

I remember getting stick on here in the preseason when talking about Kane's "August curse". I bet those same people captained him last weekend. Hehe. Vindication is a dish best served cold.

He did get two goals in his first game!

      1. Teror

        7 years, 14 days ago

He got two goals last August too. It's a poor return for a player of that price. Considering that he plays next on the first of September, we have to finally accept that Kane is a player best avoided in the inaugural month of the season.

      - Scores two goals in opening August game
      - Pick one

        - Blanks in his following two games, one being against Newcastle at home.

I never said that he wouldn't get any goals, but that he would struggle for goals in August. He is most certainly cursed.

Maybe, if you're a 15th century village dweller living in Transylvania. Do you believe in vampires too?

Yes he's not been prolific, but in the same vein, any other player who "only" scored two goals in their first three games is "cursed". Quick, get KDB out... he's not scored any...

    Hi Guys,
Help me out with this week's transfer.

    Heaton(Pope)
    Digne, VVD, Kelly (Dunk, Rico)
Mane, KDB, Sterling (c), Dendoncker, Mount
    Kane, Pukki (Greenwood)
    1FT and 0.3m ITB.

McGinn for Mount (injured) freeing up 0.7m so you can spend 1m boosting your defence

I need to make this decision before Perez drops in price. De Bruyne & Cantwell for Martial & Perez with 4pt hit, or McGinn for Perez no hit, so midfield either:

    A) Salah, Sterling, De Bruyne, Cantwell (Dendonker) 0 funds

    or

    B) Salah, Sterling, Martial, McGinn (Dendoncker) 1.2m funds

    What to do here?

    Pope
    AWB Mina Kelly
    Sterling KDB Martial* Mount
    Kane Rash Pukki

    Ryan Ceballos Lundstram Dunk

    1 ft 0.5 itb

    A) Kane + Ryan -> Aguero (C) + 4.0
    B) Kane + Ceballos -> Wickham + Salah
    C) Rashford + KDB -> Wickham + Salah
    D) Save FT

A or D right? As I then have Ceballos first on the bench to cover for Martial?
