I follow England home & away and being based in the South East it’s fairly easy for me to get to Wembley. However the FA have recognised that a vast majority of fans travel from the North & there are plans in place to ‘tour’ more regularly to make the English team more accessible to all. Leicester, Leeds & Old Trafford used more recently for example. Newcastle is touted as the next likely venue which will be a decent trip.
Southampton was a strange pick but there was a risk Kosovo wouldn’t sell out at Wembley so I think that also factors in to the FA’s choice of venue too.
