It's a decent move, but I just don't trust City's defence. No Laporte / Stones and after the Norwich game I think teams will give them a right go in their defensive third.

Yeah they aren't rock solid but if they keep the ball away from the opposition it'll always be tough to get at them. Otamendi has a goal in him too

    Thoughts on this WC?

    Pope
    Aurier | Rico | Soyuncu
    Sterling | Salah | Son | Cantwell
    Auba | C.Wilson | Pukki

    Button | Lundstram | Hayden | Mings

Fairly happy to go for a light defence and load the front end.

One change Im flicking between is Salah + Mings > Mane + Otamendi

Thinking of switching C.Wilson to Abraham next week.

WTF do I do this week? 1 FT. 0.4 ITB.

    Pope
    VVD / TAA / Digne / Montoya
    Salah / Sterling / KDB / Cantwell
    Pukki / Barnes

    Button // Jota / Kelly / Dendoncker

    1) Play Montoya over Jota? (Y/N)
    2) Jota + Sterling >> Aguero + (6.7m?)
    3) Something else?

I can't see which striker I'd want in long-term other than Aguero/Abraham, or perhaps Aubameyang. Wildcard seems better suited next GW.

Simply sick of Jota & likely to lose value on him + Dendoncker in respect to Abraham/Aguero movements.

Having been to a few Palace home matches, I can confirm they are pants at home - but sadly so far Wolves have been rubbish too.

Just lost in EL, continuing the poor form. Can see the fixture as a bit of a damp squid.

Wouldn't use your WC this week.

N, N and maybe VVD --> Otamendi with your FT, which seems a popular move to those with double Pool defence.

      Great side.

give it a few weeks. My guess is he'll start a few, but not all, games. But Solanke didn't exactly light the world on fire the last game so Wilson could very well get the start v Soton. And even if he comes off the bench he has a chance of scoring you points.

If Mount misses Liverpool but should return next week I'd just play Rico tbh

        • 6 Years
        5 years, 3 days ago

Doubt Rico starts. And Mount won't play this week (hopefully back for next), so up to you if you want to risk fielding only 10 players (or less).

One possibility is to bring someone in for under 7 m (Yarmolenko, Mcginn, Iwobi etc) and if Mount is passed fit for next GW you could get him back with your next transfer

That's a great team for this GW, it could very possibly outscore the WC suggestion, and if that's the case it's a huge NO as an answer

Thanks for the reply. I'm just worried about Salah's 45% ownership (rank killer), although I know Mane outputs roughly the same. Also taking into account that most players will captain a City asset over the next few gameweeks (exception GW7), so that is reassuring.

      Brilliant

Personally, I often love 3-5-2, but in the current landscape I can't go another week with a dead third striker and captaincy fail. So three pieces of firepower up top it is.

      1. KGFC
        • 8 Years
        5 years, 3 days ago

I initially tinkered with Auba up top along with the other two. The challenge is that it leaves me in the mid with a Cantwell + Hayden sort of combo and I'm not very comfortable playing one of them every week.

    2. PrettyDick
      • 6 Years
      5 years, 3 days ago

WC? Looks a descent team in general, however I'd have a second look at that defense.
First; I'd be very cautious of Arsenal defenders, for two reasons. 1, their defense is the worst in the northern hemisphere and 2. rotation risk. Tierny and Bellerin are both back in full training and they could be back in a matter of weeks.

Second, I don't see the value in Lascelles. Don't see Newcastle keeping clean sheets and he's not an attacking threat. For that price I'd say Montoya or Dunk offer much better value, or even Lowton with the upcoming fixtures. Even Fredericks or Diop are better options imo.

Just my thoughts, best of luck with whatever you choose!

    3. PrettyDick
      • 6 Years
      5 years, 3 days ago

Also, if you're going double liverpool attack (which I think is a nice differential) I would go Firmino + one of Salah / Mane. Firmino is involved in everything up top and it also gives you money to invest in either a better 8th attacking option (than your 4.4 striker) and/or upgrade your defense

    1 free

    Dendonker(start) > Cantwell

    Or

    Robbo(have TAA) > Otamendi/Lowton

    Gtg? Anything worth a -4?

    Pope
    VVD, Digne, Mina, Otamendi
    Salah, Sterling(c), Kdb, Cantwell
    Pukkhi, Haller

Button, Lundstram, Mount, Wickham 0ft 0itb

    What to do here?

    Ryan - Heaton
    TAA - Digne - Zinc - Taylor(BUR) - Lund
    Salah - Sterling - Lanzini - Mount - Dend
    Barnes - Pukki - Haller

    0ft & 1.3itb. Cheers!
