I always think captaincy is gut feeling. Have to trust your instinct and stick to it.

I've got every captaincy wing since GW1, sit around 3.7m so I've brought Auba in and put the armband on him. Got to try a different approach for me!

Still think the Man Utd first team is better than people give it credit for. They could use a really mobile defensive midfielder, but it looks stronger than Chelsea and Arsenal and with no CL football could challenge Spurs.

    De Gea
    AWB Lindelof Maguire Shaw
    McTominay ?????
    James Pogba Martial
    Rashford

Ideally they need to sign a DM in January.

The second team is more than good enough for the EL:

    Romero
    Dalot Jones Bailly Rojo
    Matic Fred
    Lingard Mata Gomes
    Greenwood

Alot of potential plus alot of players who have never really kicked on and become first team regulars.

4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1. Same personnel and defensive shape in either case.

In 4 2 3 1 Lingard plays in the hole. There's a reason why Pogba hardly ever plays there.

That DM would need to make up for McTominay's lack of ability to progress the ball and press the ball, though he seems good at tackling and intercepting in that new role so far to be fair to him.

I would go for Lewis Cook at Bournemouth. He is young, but he can tackle and looks to pass the ball forward.

As an arsenal fan there’s only 3 players I’d want from your starting 11 in ours if everyone was fully fit. De gea, Maguire and pogba. Id agree it’s better than Chelsea’s though

    6. AndyCook
        5 years, 2 days ago

Similarly to Arsenal and Chelsea they don’t have enough to challenge the top sides, and they don’t have the firepower of Arsenal to beat the small sides. That Europa League team is also far behind Arsenal’s and when he Champions League sides drop down they have no chance

Can I get away with banking a transfer? If Mount and Emerson are both out, I might only have 10 players.

        Pope Adrian
        Alderweireld Emerson Pieters Lundstram Kelly

This is the danger of such a bench. Is there any way to address that, ie. money in the bank?

            Yes. I have 1.1 FT.

Options would be to transfer out Emerson to someone, but I want him for their upcoming fixtures.

Otherwise I could do Kelly out to a max 5 defender, which doesn't leave me with many enticing options. Newcastle def for this weekend the only thing I can think of. Thoughts?

I would go with Sterling, but if you are afraid of minutes go with KDB and save yourself the headache

But I do have Sterling, Salah and Kdb (if I really wanna). So Auba might be too much

Nice team. Consider replacements for Zinch, but not this week. Who’s captain?

Nothing official. No ligament damage unofficial news.

Nothing concrete, but looks like he’ll be back against Brighton if not on Sunday

My team is very good but I've just decided to hit the WC after today's deadline. Reasons for me are that I want Son, Soy and Abraham LONG TERM, and want to make Cantwell a regular starter for me. Meaning... Mount and Barnes are now excess to requirements. Also not interested in Digne anymore until Gbamin returns, which is late October

        Current team:
        Pope Woodman
        TAA Digne Ota Lund Kelly
        Salah Sterling KDB Mount Cantwell
        Barnes Pukki Haller

        WC moves:
        Digne + Kelly + Mount + Barnes + Haller (seems crazy, right?) => Soy + Guilbert + Son + Abraham + 4.4 F

Would most likely cap Son in GWs 7 and 9. I'll still have the core of my team, with Digne the only premium asset to leave. Feels crazy to lose Mount before that run of fixtures, but I really want to stop benching Cantwell (Fraser, Doherty and Jimmy last season for those who bought early) and the only way around that is 3-5-2, which means no Haller. Would still have two playing subs, so no problem there

        Questions:
        1. Where do you draw the line between aggression and patience?
        2. Is Son (C) + Soy + Tammy worth losing Mount + Haller + Digne + Barnes and promoting Cantwell?

        Doing my head in, these

Yeah this is mad, just do Raheem > Son and Barnes > Abraham.

Son isn’t generally good long term pick, each season he seems like a good option but then you look at his end of season tally and he’s never even made 180
