Scoutcast discuss Aguero rotation and budget defences

The Scoutcast is back once again to cover the key discussion topics ahead of Gameweek 11.

David will be joined by Az and current FFS Mods and Cons joint-leader Andy Goddard this week.

The show will run from 20:00 GMT until 21:00 GMT. You can watch it on our YouTube channel.

Up first, the Scoutcast crew will reflect on a Gameweek 10 fraught with contrasting emotions.

Andy did exceptionally well – David and Az did not.

Then, moving forward into Gameweek 11, we will tackle the Manchester City rotation debate, how seriously to take Leicester’s recent form and whether budget defences are coming back into fashion once again.

                He's still class but a touch below the class of the past 4 seasons. Dominant attacking force in a very attack-minded team, no international or European distractions. Not many better for that price.

                  Currently Pukki, Ayew and Abraham are providing better points per million = better value. Vardy is bound to regress also

                      Currently. But he has 6 goals in 10 and for a 6.5 asset that is pure pure value. People are so temperamental and switching between mid priced assets is bound to bring disappointment

                        He was good in his first 5 games, as did Norwich, and has done nothing since. No point in keeping him, his price tumbling too. Looks like Farke went all in for a good start and now they're struggling at PL level and look odds on for relegation.

                        Abraham is a good shout, I forgot him. I don't rate Ayew, decent fodder pick though.

        Agree with the 10, could -8 Sterling in and keep Aguero or -4 losing Mane which is a bit tricky or the basic Aguero out for -4. Which of those 3 would you favour?

                Don't like the Connelly/3.9 def option? Rico has some decent games when the rest have tough ones but it's Bournemouth. Would sort out the 3.9 sooner or later. Cantwell would be upgraded so a 352.

    A question for the mods and editors and whoever runs the fixture ticker

    Shouldn't it be updates based on form and other factors from the few games/weeks preceding it ?

    Like Spurs vs Sheffield United has got the easiest rating possible on the ticker but surely its going to a tough game for spurs vs one of if not the best defence in the league ? So shouldn't it be edited as the season carries on ?

    What are you guys thinking re Liverpool vs City assets as Liverpool's fixtures start looking juicy again, but bearing in mind the GW18 blank

    Currently I have Ota/Sterling/KDB and TAA. I have low TV (101m) so I can only go 2 premium mids and 1 forward (currently Sterling, KDB, Vardy)

    Instinct is saying at the moment that TAA/Robbo double up as Liverpool cover only. Sterling is still on track for an exceptional season. Keep him.

    B) Mane or Salah/TAA/Robbo no Sterling
    C) Mane/Salah + one of TAA/Robbo no Sterling

      Very hard to tell

      3 liv looks like the way to go but then with matip out, i think good enough reason not to double up their defense

      In midfield, double up mane n salah could do wonders but then kdb is indispensable and raheem is so explosive he's hard to let go

      I'd rather have taa kdb Sterling n one of salah/mane for now, amd keep my flexibility until we move nearer towards gw13

      My team with the occasional exception of Lundstram will be all Pool City Lei and Che.
      Therefore the problem with GW18 is not just a Pool blank when I look at the fixtures of the other 3 teams in 18.
      For now taking the attitude that I will try to maximize between now and 18 and gradual prepare for the mess 18 looks like it's going to be closer to the time.

      City don't have good fixtures from a defensive perspective.

      Angelino possible injury + Zinchenko knee injury are big pluses for Mendy though.

      Would still be Maupay for me, Brighton from an attacking perspective seem really promising this year, Potter has got them all singing off the same hymn sheet it seems.

    Brighton fans seem to think Trossard is Hazard mark II, and will be reinstated straight back into the team.

    So where does Connolly fit in all of this? Is he fighting with GroB for a place in the team now?

      Had Digne for a while. His stats aren't bad. Willing to hold.
      Not sure about Connolly, two Brighton forwards might be a bit much! Could go Greenwood but would mean playing him or Dendoncker each week....

    Made my first kneejerk of the season.

    Did Salah -> Mane out of concerns that he might possibly be rested for Villa.

    Current team is.

    Pope - Button
    TAA - Soyuncu - Rico - Boly - Lundstram
    CHO - Sterling - Mane - Mount - KdB
    Vardy - Abraham - Greenwood.

    Main concerns in my team are Greenwood and Boly. Boly I haven't removed this gameweek because he wasn't starting anyway and I'm unsure who I want to replace him. David Silva is at the top of the list of players I want. 0.8itb

        Don't plan on removing CHO. It was a kneejerk and idk how I feel about it. Boly needs to go but not a priority atm, plan on saving the next two FT
