Join us for the latest episode of the Scoutcast this evening.

As per usual, the show will be running on our YouTube channel from 20:00 GMT until 21:00 GMT.

In episode 307, Joe will be joined by Holly Shand and Lee Bonfield to discuss how to learn from Fantasy Premier League mistakes.

After looking back on Gameweek 11, the three pundits will look to a tricky round of action for Fantasy managers.

Liverpool and Manchester City’s meeting at Anfield on Sunday is likely to temper enthusiasm for the popular premium options – and could increase pressure on our mid-price and budget assets.

With that in mind, our player of choice this week is John Lundstram (£4.8m) who simply won’t stop making FPL history this season.

After that, we’ll update you on the current differential and clean sheet standings.

As Liverpool and Chelsea are also playing in the Champions League, concurrently with the Scoutcast, we shall endeavour to bring you any relevant score or injury updates.

Lessons learned from Gameweek 11

Tried Narcos but got sidetracked. Will give it a go again.

Don't think anything comes close to Breaking Bad or Better call Saul that's the problem.

My fav. Back in the 90s, was X-Files. Be fun to see how it matches up to expectations of a good TV-series, by todays standards.

      But lately, i liked:
      -First season, atleast, of Hannibal.
      -Fargo
      -BB
-Sopranos. Specially if one is a fan of The Godfather movies. Many pointers to those movies.

      1. sirmorbach
        • 9 Years
        6 years, 1 month ago

You're probably right, feels wrong to have a 6.5 defender on the bench.

Although I must say I've already grieved many times over keeping Lundstram on it..

    2. Clintymints
      • 16 Years
      6 years, 1 month ago

I’m kinda avoiding this issue by investing more in the mids and strikers! TAA along with a combo of 4.0/4.0/4.5 defenders that are firing, seems to be doing the trick

For the call I’d prob have Rico sub 1 and play VdV and Trent

Well, Leicester play a 4141 which becomes more a 433 against better teams and away from home. I just see Perez’ relationship with Vardy getting stronger with width provided by Pereira.

He has so many touches in the box that he’s more of a second striker at home. Can’t pass up the value at 6.1m really.

So he is starting to become what we alm expected at the beginning of the season ? I may join you on this and just do Mount to Perez and Hanley to Lundstram.

Tieleman’s is a fire and forget option. Awesome midfielder, just not sure he’s the best FPL option.

Barnes has impressed me but he’s lacked confidence in front of goal. Maddison will tick over and looks like he’ll assist every game.

So that leaves Perez as the one to help Vardy out with the goal scoring. Damarai Gray is the only real concern.

This is really what I thought and did have Perez for the first few weeks, It has to be worth a gamble , I was sure Rodgers would play him as a 2nd striker, it seems like he is growing into this position?

Not sure really, a -4 at most, but it’s the issue most are having with the Liverpool and City being so unpredictable, sell Sterling now and cash him in for a hits? Or stick for one more week and see how him and KdB get on before one can be dropped and he cash spread

Just finished top boy. Wow, loved it from start to finish. Would defo recommend, struggling to decide on what to watch next. Seen and liked Dexter, breaking bad, stranger things, rick n morty, brooklyn 99 and better call Saul plus many others I can't think of.

    Recommendations?

Not inclined to take a hit bud. Had 2fts, did kun > vardy with one. Now options are -

        a. wilson > jiminez and play rico. Mount on the bench
        b. mount > one of son/ martial/ willian and play Wilson with rico on the bench

Yes, last I checked. But diff is willian will start this gw which is a relatively easy home fixture and mount will most probably not.

willian looks better than mount since he started and looks just as nailed.. if you didnt buy mount at 6m.. theres absolutely no reason why you shouldnt do the swap.. willian is bonus point magnet too

IF possible to buy Willian, better option direct to Pulisic (only need topup another 0.2 here).

Is is on Netflix? Can't say i've heard of it, shall have to check it out.

Seen past comments mentioning shows to watch, i recently just finishe Better Call Saul, absolutely amazing, even a great show in it's own right seperated from Breaking Bad.

Finished The OA not long ago, and i absolutely loved DARK, those are two of the most amazing shows i've seen. Obviously Soprano's and the likes will always be faves.

Excellent isn't it, love teh transformation from James McGill to Saul Goodman at the end, kinda like walts transformation to Heisenberg in BB. Can't wait for Season 5 of Better Call Saul!

The OA i loved, i'm surprised there wasn't an all out war on Netflic for cancelling and ending The OA, absolutely awful mistake on their part. DARK i will watch again soon i loved it that much.

Loved BB and better call Saul, both amazing. Love spin offs when you get to know the ins and outs of characters who ain't exposed in other series.

Just finished top boy which I loved and also Money heist. Seen loads though tbf, Dexter, BB and Stranger things up there for sure. Then brooklyn 99 and Rick n morty for more comedy shows

    Maddison or Tielemans?

Stats say Maddison, for the most part, but Youri is frequently touted as Leicester's best player.

Ha, this is what I'm angling at with my question below. I haven't watched many Leicester matches recently but thought Yuri was much the bigger threat against Southampton. Him or Barnes, but I hear that Barnes has been a bit flaky.

Tielemans. A good whack cheaper, Maddison only just edges it in the stats and has half the ownership so a great differential.

It's a lot to ask, but if anyone watched Leicester's last two games, how did Maddison fare in open play in both games?

I watched the SOU game and my take from it was that though on set pieces he wasn't getting anywhere near advanced enough in open play to be an attractive FPL pick.

I didn't watch the CRY match but have heard conflicting reports on his performance. Set pieces aside, what was his position and attacking threat like?

    Thanks.

Against Southampton everyone was moaning saying Tielemans is the man to have and playing so advanced, next game it's Maddison the man to have and Tielemans not so great, gotta laugh.
Personally prefer Tiele but that's just preference. Think Maddi has been overperforming.

I'm aiming for both, but over the space of a few weeks.

Pulisic feels the way more exciting prospect at the moment from those two, either though i fancy to do well. Both for a hit, maybe...just maybe worth it i reckon, then again i'm very pro hits 🙂
