Scoutcast Episode 310 – Christmas rotation and midfield marauders

Rotation looks inevitable in Gameweek 15, the second of three set of fixtures in quick succession. Our Scoutcast trio of Joe, Az and Sam look at the surprises in store this week plus the team sheet headaches that await over the festive schedule.

For some, like Sam, they can be a little over prepared, with points mounting up due to her great bench. Az is happy with his weaker substitutes for the time being, while ever the dullard Joe sits somewhere in the middle, with a credible, but ultimately boring, bunch of benchwarmers.

Elsewhere, the plethora of midfield marauders available in Fantasy Premier League are looked at, with Crystal Palace’s talisman Wilfried Zaha as well as Spurs’ ‘number 10’ Dele Alli topping the Scoutcasters’ shopping list. Those wanting to jettison Chelsea’s Mason Mount will be among those keen to shop around.

Our crews’ Gameweek 15’s captaincy and transfer plans get an airing and they also look back on the roughest and smoothest previous set of fixtures for some, thanks to Liverpool’s Salmon-like, leaping centre back.

Meanwhile, the Scoutcast is on a roll with their differential picks recently, with Lee, Az and Tom’s picks all finding the net this week. Can Sam keep that fine run going?

There’s Christmas clean sheets to look at as well as a lively debate over Spurs’ centre forward, or ‘expensive defensive midfielder’, as Az refers to him.

Is Aurier >> VVD worth a FT?

Have TAA and Mane as other Pool players.

I remember I brought in VVD at around similar time last season, he had a similar barren run to this season early on and went on to bang in goals and CS's right, left and centre. This season is of course different with Pool not getting CS's but could work out well maybe?

Sure! Double pool defence owner here but with TAA and Robbo whom are more likely to have attacking returns than VvD imo cause those CS aren't coming

True, but it puts you up for a problem in GW 18 with three LFC. I would rather consider Chilwell if you want to get rid of Aurier.

This isn't based on anything solid, just my opinion, but Silva starts. I'm not sure it's the kind of game Pep throws Foden into, considering he hasn't started yet.

JWP is 100% nailed. Barnes is not quite yet a 100% guaranteed starter and usually plays for about 75 to 80 minutes. (Foxes fan)
Your choice but I'd go JWP just for the short term. Barnes also uses up a City place when you might want Pereira/Söyüncü/Chilwell/Maddison/Vardy

Yep it's all do with the structure.

If you're 3 at the back, I agree he'll struggle to get in.

I had this dilemma myself, but as a Kelly owner, I went for Hendo. I think Palace´s fixtures are amazing all the way down but I also think SHU is a better defensive unit overall and Im convinced the better choice long-term. At the end was all down to which double up do I prefer; Hendo+Lunds or Guaita+Kelly? And its the first one for me.

Help! I have 3.0m itb and 1 FT and it is burning a hole in my pocket.

    Which would you choose?
    A) Save
    B) Maddison > Son
    c) Tammy > Rashford
    d) Another

A )possibly depending on your squad b) no way for minus 8. Option 3 hold for a week then maybe do a triple transfer next week.

The only way Marco Silva avoids the boot is with a derby win. If he gets that, he is safe.
