This series has generally been engaged in looking for the “next prospect”, the unheralded and the unfashionable. This week, we’re going to go in a slightly different direction and re-examine someone who was first mentioned in these pages back in Gameweek 6, after which he was promptly benched to seemingly slip back into obscurity. As last weekend’s performance at QPR demonstrated, however, the underlying potential of Jason Puncheon was never in doubt: pitch-time looks to be the key factor in his prosperity as a Fantasy asset.
Walcott definitely out?

current team., midfield crises help!
Begovic
Baines | Cameron | Rafael | Cuellar | Nelsen
Hazard | Michu
RVP | Berba | Ba
Foster, Walcott, Guthrie, FellainiOpen ControlsI look at those stats and think Lallana 😀
Open ControlsI look at my team and see Ramirez 😀
Open ControlsIt'll be interesting in the next couple of weeks which Southampton asset comes out on top.

There was a time when the plea would have been "we have a place to play football now". 🙂
Open Controls
I agree. It's certainly given me food for thought.
(Although the number of thoughts I'm having at the moment has left me feeling a bit like Mr Creosote!)
A six-week punt with Sterling, for 10.0, is very, very tempting...Open ControlsMcCarthy Begovic
Wilkinson Davies Demel Clyne Baines
Silva Valencia Mata Michu Sterling
Giroud Ba Van Persie
1FT:
A) Do Wilkinson to Garrido
B) Baines to Enrique.Open ControlsA direct HBA -> Valencia for my 2nd FT is a no-brainer right?
Open ControlsDepends who your other midfielders are
Open ControlsWas originally planning on playing HBA along with Cazorla, Michu and Pienaar this week. I still have Kightly, but since his price is staying pretty steady I'll afford to keep him at least one more GW before he starts falling in price.
Want to get in both a Sunderland and a Southampton midfielder at some point soon, so that's my other alternative. Pienaar and Kightly will both soon be sacrificed for these transfers if I do the HBA-> Valencia transfer.Open ControlsAs you already have RVP I would go for A Johnson instead
Open Controls
How about a downgrade to Lallana/Ramirez/Morrison to upgrade Pienaar to Silva midweek?
Open ControlsSilva is definitely in my sight, and I was wondering whether or not to do it sooner or to wait until the Reading-match.
Open Controls
AJ's a better option imo.
Open ControlsNo. What's the attraction in Valencia? He blows hot and cold. Plenty of better options.
Open ControlsNo form I agree, it would only have been a try to get even more points from tomorrows match against QPR which I believe will be quite the goalfest.
Open Controls
Thanks for the great replies folks! Think I'll hold off on this decision for a little longer. A Sunderland or Southampton mid might grace my team this weekend already after all. 😉
Open Controls
Play Cameron or Ridgewell, if I already have Bego in goal:?:
Open ControlsHad this dilemma myself. Went with double Stoke. Was pointed in the direction that WBA haven't kept a clean sheet away all season while Stoke have only conceded 1 at home.
Open Controls
Ruddy or Jaask? Leaning towards Ruddy...
Also any sites that show you up to date most added for gameweeks? Or is the most added on the actual FFPL: site pretty bang on?Open ControlsFantastic article. Already got myself a bit of Lambert, so no Punch for me just yet, but a downgrade of one of my mids at some point to make a Lambert a Suarez or the like seems a viable route.
Open Controlsstill can't decide between Morrison and Sterling for this week. Not bothered by the fact that I'm playing Migs but Sunderland are generally tight at home I'm not sure there will be many goals in that one.
Open ControlsI think Sterling out of the two. Swansea more likely to concede...which is more than likely going to mean Suarez goal, Sterling assist. Sunderland are tighter than a knat's chuff at home, so benching Morrison would seem sensible.
Open Controlsyeah that is my thought, I got Sterling in to try and cover off some of the damage rival's Suarez is doing to me and to free up a striker spot to acquire Aguero

berba to fletcher...... is that a punt or worthwhile? for next 5 or 6 fixtures then berba back in
Open ControlsYes.

My Chelsea XI 😉
................Cech
Ivanovic Cahill Terry Cole
.........Lampard Mikel
Oscar...... Mata......Hazard
...............MosesOpen ControlsThis will certainly bring them all the way to The Promised Land. 😉
Open ControlsThat'll be Rafa's one week in every 21. Rotating git
Open ControlsMine would be:
......................Cech..............
...Azpilicueta Ivanovic Terry Bertrand....
..............Romeu Luiz...........
....Hazard....Piazon.....Mata.....
..............Moses...........Open ControlsI appreciate the role Mikel does, but I just don't think he does it well enough. Luiz at CB is a walking disaster, but I'd like to see how he'd fare as a defensive midfielder. Need Ivanovic at CB, because Cahill is out of form. Piazon deserves a chance too. I hate the way we never give our youngsters a fair chance, and he's better than Oscar imo

Any help would be appreciatedOpen ControlsAny thoughts on my lot (team on link)
Thinking saving the trade, or maybe sell Nolan to fund silva in for Felliani?Open Controlslosing 2 top value goal scorings. hmm wouldnt advise that.
i would wait on silva until after chelsea game. monitor him carefully. still not convinced with him espically if it means losing afroOpen ControlsThat's my thinking, altho I am happy to sell Felliani given Evertons games... Saying that WHM are stinking too 🙁 !

How's this for this week? No cash but a free transfer in the bank.
Begovic
Rafael Baines Davies
Valencia Pienaar bale Silva
RVP jelly crouch
ruddy;Maloney;Gorkss;nelsenOpen ControlsGo to go, don't like Crouch too much but could work out.
Open Controls
Rotating Sterling and Puncheon sounds like a great tactic to me. I wish i had an extra transfer or two injected into my account this week...
Open Controls
so i have a dilemma. i have no arsenal or city coverage and i'm looking to get one or the other after this gw. i have enough cash to do either maloney -> walcott or berba -> aguero. i'm leaning towards the first one cause berba is still great value and is still in good form. my other mids and forwards are:
bale, mata, fellaini, sterling
rvp, suarez
so i should do the walcott trade rather than the berba one right?Open Controlsthis is also for next gw (when we will know more about walcott's injury)
Open Controls
Bego
Baines Cuellar Mertesacker
Mata Michu Maloney Noble
RVP(c) Berba Tevez(vc)
Subs: Jussi McAuley Demel Fellaini
Subs correct and in the right order? Mert or McA to start?
CheersOpen ControlsAll looks good. Definitely Mert.
Open Controls
hey all, any advice on how to use my free double transfer? 2.3 in bank.
I am thinking Tevez Gerrard Gjohnson > RVP Ajohnson Rafael for -4pt hit. I need to get RVP and need to downgrade Gerrard to do that. However, my defense also needs work because clyne plays ba, GJ plays michu and i dont think staylor will get a cleanie…
Foster – Federici
Baines – GJohnson – STaylor – Clyne – Baird
Santi – Michu – Gerrard – Taarabt – Fellani
Tevez – Ba – CrouchOpen ControlsHey folks
I have 2 FT and £1.5m in the bank.
Foster, Begovic
Baines, Davies, Demel, Cuellar, Gorkks
Nolan, Michu, Bale, Fellaini, Sterling
Ba, RVP, Aguero
Pick one of these:
1. Foster and Davies out for Ruddy and Jose Enrique.
2. Foster to Ruddy to free up funds and save FT.
3. Foster to Mignolet and save FT
Thoughts please?!
Thank youOpen Controlsperhaps get rid of demel instead and hold for news of foster?
Open Controls
Given that Fellaini will not play this week, and I also have Michu and Suarez, I have decided to convert one of my useless bench fodder to a scoring player. My two options are:
Nelsen to Enrique
or
Britton to Puncheon
Thoughts?Open ControlsWhat is all this Rafael rotation thing I read a lot on FFS?
Open ControlsThere's a danger that Rafael gets rotated with Smalling - or maybe even Jones - when they're back fit. And since Rafael played in Europe, he could be prone.
So far, it's not happened.Open Controlsthis^^^ stopped me bringing him in.
Open Controls
Speculation based on him playing midweek, three games coming up very quickly and Jones and Smalling back from injury to cover the RB berth. I can't see him playing all three of the next three.
Open ControlsI'd even wonder about Valencia moving backwards to RB to cover for him, particularly given Val's not beating too many defenders. But there's no one else right now to cover Val at RW and the absence of Kagawa means they can't switch formation naturally.
Open Controls
Hmm, thx for all the insights guys!

Please RMT for this gameweek:
Bego
Baines-Vermaelan-ShawX
Hazard-Caz-Michu-Sterling
Ba(vc)-Suarez(c)-Berbs
Subs: Gazzinga, Cuellar,Demel,Fellani
Thanks!Open Controlsnot having rvp this week might finally hurt the non rvp owners

Given everyone appears to be feeling punty, what was your last punt that came off?
Mine was Suarez GW6 hattrick and assist v Norwich.
I sold him two GWs later and missed out on 37 points since then.
And numerous failed punts.
😆Open ControlsSame one for me. My most recent punt that did NOT come off was Mata to Valencia for a hit when Mata was ruled out after Capital One and MUN were playing a wounded Arsenal. Valencia got 3 while Gorkss, who would have played had I left it, scored 11 on the bench.
Open ControlsUsually works out like that, someone else you could have played ends up scoring more than the replacement. I thought I'd narrowly profited from an 8 point hit for GW9 involving Rangel, Michu & Suarez > Richards, Mata and Berb but then Cuellar went and got a CS on my bench.
Open Controls
This season
Best punt - Jelavic GW6, got 16 points just back from injury
Worst - Not really a 'punt' per say, but captained Cazorla 2 GWs in a row, and he got 2 points in each game 🙂
I captained Adebayor in a game last season where he go 2goals and 3assists. That massive points haul is why I think I came second in the GW4 global league last seasonOpen ControlsYeah nice one alright, to finish 80k starting GW4 is commendable and makes you wonder what you could have done if you'd gone from the start.
Any recommendations this week?Open Controls
