As Man United approach an eye-catching run of games which could potentially see Sir Alex Ferguson’s side rack up the Fantasy returns, Wayne Rooney has staked a strong claim for consideration after bagging a brace for the second Gameweek in succession. Rooney’s stock has suffered a significant drop this season due to the arrival of Robin Van Persie but as the campaign unfolds, he’s starting to look a real differential, with many Fantasy managers even considering both forwards for a run of games which sees the Red Devils welcome Sunderland, Newcastle and West Brom to Old Trafford, in addition to trips to Swansea and Wigan in the next five:
Nobody knows. If there ever is news, you can be sure Mark and co. will know about it and put it in the 'Injuries and Bans' tab ^^^^
Open ControlsThere is no confirm date included.
Literally Backfired my decision last week doing Michu ➡ Bale [Thinking of Michu having 3 yellows]Open ControlsIn fact, it says there is a strong possibility of a Swansea appearance, and it provides a source. Check out the tab 🙂

Open Controls
ok lads, can I save this week?
Foster
Baines, Rafa, Huth
Caz, Michu, Fellaini, Sterling
RvP (c), Berba, Long
Migs, Shorey, Clyne, Ramirez
Plan was to save this week and do Baines and Ramirez to Nelsen and Mata
I suppose it all depends on Foster as if he isn't fit, I will have to sell Migs, don;t fancy him for a while and certainly not away at United.Open ControlsYes save and then get rid of Baines and Ramirez.
Open Controlsbut if Foster is not fit I really don't want Migs in v United. Foster's fitness is key
Open ControlsYour gonna have to wait until Friday then. I'd save the transfer anyway.
Open Controlsit's one week, not worth a transfer
Open Controlsbut it's not one week, I don't want Migs long term anymore. Sunderland are not the defensive force we expected them to be
Open Controls
Thing with RVP is he is very unlucky. He has hit the woodwork at least 4 times this season. As soon as his bad luck runs out he will be getting 10+ regularly. RVP can have a poor game and still score at least 6. Meanwhile, ROoney has to be playing well to score.
Open ControlsRVP = greater goal threat
Rooney = Much greater creativity and decent goal threat
Rooney will get more assists and less goals imo, but get more points overall, just imo.Open ControlsRooney doesn't necessarily have more creativity. RVP gets lots of assists too and got more last year.
Open Controlsalso if he gets less goals then how exactly will he get more points overall?
Open ControlsMmm, I thought you were saying yesterday that there's nothing wrong with a striker being assisty? With respect to Berbatov who you had?
Open ControlsWhere's the contradiction here Isacki? Assists and goals, both Rooney and RVP have them in their locker. I'm pointing out that Rooney isn't necessarily guaranteed to get way more assists than RVP.
You were using 'assisty' as a way of saying Berbatov had less goal threat lately. I was saying having a striker who has assists and goals in his locker is ideal. RVP fortunately does have that too.Open ControlsRooney against RVP is a similar position to Berbatov at #10 against other midpriced options. Fewer goals (many from penalties) and more assist potential. Yet Berbatov wins and Rooney doesn't according to you. That's the contradiction.
Open Controls
The extra assists and baps will make up for it imo. It will be very close.
Open Controls
Rooney playing deep means he is not always tracked,
hence more chances to score, as well,
I believe over the season both players will be a parOpen Controls
RVP hit the woodwork the most last season too. He missed the most clear cut chances of any striker last season too. Thing is RVP's movements is so deadly that he always gets chances. You can't say that he is unlucky and that his luck will change. That is how he is.
Open ControlsLuck is hard to predict, alternatively he's been getting lots of chances of late and had his shooting boots slightly off so has missed them. Some of the chances were simply good ones fluffed like the open goal miss (from a tricky ish angle and rushed) against reading.
I think he has been slightly off form.Open Controlswell he hit the woodwork v City and was the wrongly denied an assist, he had a goal wrongly ruled out v Reading and hit the woodwork twice in about a minute v Villa. Norwich game aside (where the whole team was poor) he is getting chances. I think ah he beds down more at United, the players learn how to play to his strengths and we get all our creative players fit and firing (Valencia and Kagawa especially) RvP could hit the heights of last season
Open ControlsI don't see how that's "unlucky". It's just inaccuracy. It's not as if the goal posts move throughout the match, they're always in the same place.
Open ControlsOK maybe woodwork is unlucky but what about his disallowed goals and assists?
Open ControlsYeah that's unlucky. It's just the hitting the woodwork being considered unlucky that irks me. Just like how everyone was banging on about Liverpool being unlucky last season. Nope! Just inaccurate.
Open ControlsThink what it is, is that rvp tries to get his shots perfectly in the corner, instead of allowing some margin
Open Controls
lol, thats cheeky 🙂
Open ControlsI once spoke to a very very high profile striker who said that from distance he aimed for the post and not the goal with the keeper in it...i assume the theory being that you take the goalie out the game...who knows, dunno...anyway..It was Alan Shearer...
Open ControlsInteresting...
Open ControlsYeah..i used to work as a steel buyer for many years and got all my tickets off Jack Walker through Walker's steel (his company)...Great corporate complimentaries with a lot of access to players over the years...Great days...really great...
Open ControlsGood times. Love corporate hospitality!
Open ControlsYeah...Jack looked after all his customers...I just got bloody lucky...I'm a lifelong Blackburn fan and worked in and around the North West...and then suddenly it all went football mad in the NW steel industry...sadly all that's gone now but great while it lasted...
Open Controls
RVP's historically been a woodwork specialist. Hit it more often than Suarez last season too.
Open ControlsWhat settles rvp vs roo for me has to do with games I would actually captain them since I don't choose to captain them every game. Looking back, I would captain Manu player gws 2,4,10,11,13,14.
Over those gws, rvp = 9,1,8,5,2,9 - roo = 1,0,2,2,6,2
Granted gw 4 he didn't play, but VC would have to score 21 to level the score.Open Controls
Is Zabeleta nailed on RB?
Open ControlsNope. Maicon.
Open ControlsNo. No one is at city but yaya and kompany
Open ControlsOh ye Hart is. not sure about silva.

Had a decent week 63. Been optimistic before going into last match looking for the icing on the cake and it always fizzles out......let tonight be different.
Come on Sess (c) Cueller and Shorey.

Open Controls
just a thought on Bale. If we assume he may sit out the next 2 GWs, shirley that means he only has to make it through the Villa game (and maybe one other) without a yellow and those 4 get wiped?
Open ControlsI am ditching, and getting dafuqin' Defoe and raunchy Rooney.
Open Controls
The thing about these stats is that since GW 7 -RVP has only once returned 2pts in a single gameweek. Rooney on the other hand has done that four times. RVP is consistent whereas Rooney is explosive. Personally I'm going to stick with RVP on the basis he is consistent and an ideal captain
Open ControlsI'm behind in my mini league by 77points. I'm considering taking the following big risks
Already taken a 4 point
Suarez or defoe ----> rooney (12 point hit)
RVP ---> Rooney (8point hit)
Rivals have RVP, Suarez , berba/long/Ba
NEED HELP PLEASEOpen ControlsWhat about a RVP ---> Roo for just the 8
Open ControlsRvP to Rooney is in no way worth -8
Open Controls
Thanks everyone, any suggestions on how to close the gap in the long run???

Current strikers:
Tevez, RVP, Berba
Wise move?
Berba----> Rooney (4ph)
or
Berba ---> Defoe (1FT)Open ControlsI'd keep berba and swap tevez for defoe

Open Controlswhere's the source confirmed Fletcher is playing tonight?
Open ControlsRVP - Rooney and Suarez frontline leaves me a with a mid of
Mata - Michu - Fellaini - Sterling -5.3m
...but what the hey...its mighty tempting.
No other attacker appeals and may as well have three great strikers and a couple of cheap mids.
If I go down this route I need a half decent mid for 5.3 or under who rotates well with Sterling. Any ideas?Open ControlsNot sure about rotation but Puncheon or Kacaniklic
Open ControlsFoster
Mertesacker, O’Brien, Gallas
Michu, Santi Cazorla, Sidwell, Fellaini
Van Persie(c), Rooney, Defoe(vc)
Subs: Begovic; Shorey, Sessegnon, Cuellar
Sidwell, perhaps?Open ControlsI'm not convinced of the long term potential of Sidwell, but i could be wrong. Maybe you could shift Sess instead though, Sidwell is cheap enough to keep as a 5th mid.
Open ControlsMoney, money, money! And Sessegnon's stats are improving every week!
Open Controls
Mertesacker? is he nailed on?
Foster is not confirmed fit eitherOpen Controls
downgrade Sterling to Punch and use cash for other mid?
Open ControlsPunch has a blank GW
Open Controls
In fairness that is a truly awful line up ...........
Open Controls
How am I looking for this week? Got 1 FT and 1.4 in the bank.
Foster
Shawcross / Jose Enrique / Baird / Demel
Sterling / Cazorla / Michu
RVP / Berbatov / Long
(Begovic / Simpson / *Lallana* / *Mata*)
Pretty concerned about my defence... Could get Gibbs/Caulker in for someone? Any thoughts? Thanks!Open ControlsOoo - I've found it!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xJTMxJrFwTYOpen ControlsArsenal are apparently sniffing around Nani. It would mean Podolski could move up to ST.
Open ControlsBegovic (Mannone)
Rafael Enrique demel (Davies Cuellar)
Michu Fellani cazorla sterling (sess)
Rvp berg fletch
Have 1ft and 4m…..what should I do??? Enrique and demel both potentially injured:(..my back up keeper doesn’t play and I need to get rid of fletch…
Pls help.Open ControlsHello gentleman (and ladies), long time reader / first time poster here. Just thought I'd come out of the shadows and share my captain pick with you all this week as it's outlandish to say the least. To cut to the chase, I will be captaining Glen Johnson, and the decision is final.
Of course, it's bound to go terribly wrong, but I will return no matter what happens on Saturday evening.Open ControlsCaptaining a defender is a big gamble. I wouldn't recommend it unless it was a double. He has a great fixture though and in form, so its one of those where it'll either be 2pts or double digit. Surely you have better options though...RVP - Rooney - Suarez - Defoe - Walcott if fit are all better and more reliable captain picks imo.
Welcome to the outside world btw...lurk no longer in shadows, get yourself linked up and a grav and make yourself official.Open ControlsMore info hear on linking your team and getting a nice picture. http://www.fantasyfootballscout.co.uk/fantasy-football-faq-and-glossary/
Open ControlsI understand it's a gamble, but that's part of the appeal to me. I have better / more reliable picks but really believe Johnson will get double digits on the basis of what I've seen from him and Liverpool lately.
I'll go figure out this grav business now!Open Controls
I am looking forward to my captain Fletcher starting tonight and bagging me a haul.
Actually, its a "win win" situation for me cos if he doesn't I get RVP cpt instead and Nelsen off the Bench.
Good times.Open Controlsreposting, lads ;D
mignolet (mccarthy – inj)
enrique, shawcross, nelsen, (demel, shorey)
fellaini, michu, santi, sterling, (britton)
suarez, rvp, tevez
3m in the bank, 1 FT
1. ok to replace tevez with rooney?
2. should I take a hit and replace mccarthy with federici or tremmel?Open Controls
