After last night’s four fixtures produced a distinct lack of goals, Gameweek 26 has arrived with a stunning twist in the tail this evening. The atrocious weather conditions around the country have wreaked havoc with the fixture list and forced Manchester City to postpone their home match against Sunderland, while Everton’s meeting with Crystal Palace has also been postponed due to building damage.
This leaves four matches remaining on tonight’s agenda, with Arsenal versus United, Fulham versus Liverpool, Newcastle versus Tottenham and Stoke versus Swansea all still scheduled to take place.
The Etihad cancellation means City will, at some point, have two double Gameweeks down the line. They already play twice in Gameweek 31 due to Capital One Cup Final duties but will now need to find space for this evening’s encounter – ironically against next month’s Wembley opponents.
It could be some time before the Premier League announce a re-schedule date. In the meantime, those holding City’s attacking assets have now suffered three consecutive blanks following the defeat to Chelsea and the 0-0 with Norwich.

Noone off the bench for 3 points - yeah I'll take that to get 11 players.
