Latest News: Max Dowman (ankle), Cristhian Mosquera (ankle), Kai Havertz (knee) and Gabriel Magalhaes (knee) remain on the sidelines, while Riccardo Calafiori is suspended in Gameweek 16 due to yellow card accumulation. Mikel Arteta wasn't much help with the other injury and illness doubts that Arsenal have going into Saturday's match - none of whom, predictably, were pictured in the final training gallery of the week. William Saliba (ankle) is probably the least likely to feature: Arteta said he is expected back for next week's match against Everton but wasn't sure if he could recover sooner; bear in mind the centre-half hasn't trained in two weeks. Elsewhere, Arteta said Leandro Trossard (calf) and Jurrien Timber (knock) would be a "matter of days". You'd be surprised if Trossard was risked from the start, given that he's already had one recurrence of his issue when coming on as a substitute, but Timber is a bit more of a mystery. The Dutchman had been seen in training ahead of the Bruges game and even travelled to Belgium, but wasn't in the matchday squad. Arteta said afterwards that he'd "lost two players" on the morning of the game but, just before kick-off, claimed Timber's issue was a Gameweek 15 knock, so nothing new. Christian Norgaard, as he did in midweek, is on standby to help in defence, if needed. Further forward, you could potentially see breathers for Martin Zubimendi (no rest since the international break), Martin Odegaard (successive starts after a medium-term injury) and Mikel Merino (described as "gassed" by his manager after Gameweek 15, yet playing 90 minutes against Bruges). Eberechi Eze and Bukayo Saka were rested in midweek and surely come in, with Noni Madueke potentially changing flanks after his brace in the Champions League. Gabriel Martinelli is an alternative. If Norgaard is needed at centre-back, we could see Rice in the 'six', with Eze and Ethan Nwaneri outside of him - assuming Odegaard and Merino are rested.

Latest News: Tyrone Mings (hamstring) and Ross Barkley (knee) are still out, while Villa will assess both Emi Martínez (back) and Pau Torres (calf) after the pair missed Thursday’s UEFA Europa League triumph against Basel. While Martinez's issue isn't a new one (a niggly back that forced him to miss the previous midweek game before he returned against Arsenal), Pau is maybe more of a concern. He had ice on his calf after the victory over the Gunners and it did sound in midweek, when Emery was discussing other centre-back options, that the Villa boss was preparing for a spell without the Spaniard. Elsewhere, Emery might opt for a more attacking set-up than the one he used against Arsenal, dropping a central midfielder - Amadou Onana started on Thursday, so would be the favourite to make way - and introducing a more offensive-minded player further forward. Emi Buendia came off earlier than Donyell Malen and Evann Guessand in Switzerland, so last weekend's match-winner may get the nod from the start. Ian Maatsen has started the last two league matches at left-back so, with Lucas Digne getting 90 minutes against Basel, it's likely we're going to see the Dutchman again this Sunday.

Latest News: Andoni Iraola said he hopes Marcos Senesi will be available for Monday night's trip to Old Trafford. The centre-back finished with cramps in Gameweek 15 and is still dealing with "some issues" but the Cherries are hopeful of his involvement and he has not got "a proper muscle injury". With Veljko Milosavljevic (knee) out for 2-3 months, James Hill will be on standby at centre-half. Elsewhere, Ryan Christie (knee) and Ben Gannon-Doak (hamstring) remain out, while Lewis Cook is still suspended. Tyler Adams at least returns from a one-match ban of his own, and surely comes straight back into an understaffed engine room. Bournemouth were otherwise improved against Chelsea last time out, so Iraola may not want to change much else with his set-up. Adam Smith and Alex Jimenez were both used, with the latter further up the flank, so it'll be interesting to see if Iraola sticks with that tactic to nullify Messrs Dalot, Fernandes, Mount and Cunha down the United left. David Brooks, Marcus Tavernier and Amine Adli, who have blown hot and cold recently, are more natural attacking midfield alternatives.

Latest News: Long-term absentees Josh Dasilva (knee), Fábio Carvalho (knee) and Antoni Milambo (knee) are all still unavailable, while Kevin Schade will miss out in Gameweek 16 as he was booked for the fifth time this season last weekend. The Bees could have one wide player back in contention, however, as Reiss Nelson (knock) "should be in and around [being] available for Sunday". Assuming Keith Andrews goes for a 4-2-3-1/4-3-3 (rather than a more defensive set-up), then Nelson is one option to come in for Schade against Leeds. However, he's been out for a fortnight, while he's been sparingly used in the Premier League before that - just three substitute appearances all season, none more than 15 minutes in length. Don't be surprised if Keane Lewis-Potter gets the nod instead, then, with Nelson coming on later in the game. Elsewhere, Rico Henry could be handed a recall after coming on for Kristoffer Ajer and impressing at Spurs last week. Andrews may also consider more of a playmaker, namely Mathias Jensen, in central midfield, as he did when Burnley visited west London a fortnight ago.

In much better news, Yasin Ayari (muscle), Kaoru Mitoma (ankle), Tommy Watson (unknown) and James Milner (muscle) are fit again, although you'd think all bar Ayari would be substitutes at best after significant spells out. Carlos Baleba continues to blow hot and cold but this will be his final game before AFCON, and Hurzeler may want to spare the legs of Jack Hinshelwood et al given that they'll have to do plenty of deputising over the next month. After a poor display against West Ham, the Brighton boss may be thinking about further alterations. Charalampos Kostoulas might not be among them despite impressing in a Gameweek 15 cameo (the 18-year-old is being integrated very gradually) but Ayari and Brajan Gruda, who impressed against the Reds in May, could enter the thinking at Anfield.

The Clarets have also got three players suspended for the visit of Fulham: Kyle Walker, Lucas Pires and Hannibal Mejbri. While Quilindschy Hartman for Pires is a straightforward enough switch, Walker's absence gives Parker a headache: bring in Oliver Sonne from the cold, play a square peg at right-back or switch formation to a 5-4-1/3-4-3? To keep change at a minimum (Parker said he was very pleased with the performance at Newcastle), Josh Laurent or Joe Worrall could replace Walker, with Jacob Bruun Larsen - who admittedly looks better on the left - reprising the right wing-back/winger hybrid role he took up earlier this season. Lyle Foster leaves for AFCON after this weekend, so Parker may want to get one more game out of him, while Armando Broja's strong all-round display on Tyneside might be enough to again see him get the nod over the more prolific Zian Flemming up top.

Wesley Fofana is fit, however, despite suffering a freak eye injury in midweek. Elsewhere, Enzo Maresca confirmed that Cole Palmer, rested on Tuesday, is "available" but that he finished yesterday's training session with a "mixed feeling", so there's a little question mark over just how involved the midfielder will be against Everton. Maresca also got asked about the workload of the likes of Marc Cucurella and Enzo Fernandez but with an EFL Cup tie against League One side Cardiff just days away, that might be the opportune time to get minutes into the likes of Andrey Santos and Jorrel Hato and rest the overworked regulars. Whether Reece James can stretch to three starts in a week is another question, despite Maresca telling us repeatedly that he's now ready to do so. He did it, indeed, straight after the November international break, although the caveat there is that his first start in that there-game week was curtailed at 45 minutes. Alejandro Garnacho and Estevao are tussling for game-time out wide after midweek benchings, while Andrey could yet start if Palmer is deemed not ready, with Enzo in the '10'. Maresca again seemed to suggest Fofana and Trevoh Chalobah would stay on at centre-back, with Josh Acheampong set to retreat to the bench once more.

Latest News: Daniel Munoz (knee) is now out for 4-6 weeks, joining Cheick Doucoure (knee), Caleb Kporha (back) and Chadi Riad (knee) - who is being partly reintegrated into team training this week - on the sidelines. But there were positive-sounding updates on Jean-Philippe Mateta (knee) and Ismaila Sarr (ankle), with Oliver Glasner saying "it looks okay right now". Glasner also confirmed that everyone came through the Shelbourne game unscathed, so Justin Devenny is presumably okay despite limping off. Jaydee Canvot, who only missed Thursday's Conference League match due to illness, could also return. It feels like Sarr has been out for a while but in reality he's only missed a fortnight, so match fitness may not be much of an issue. Indeed, with Sarr AFCON-bound after this weekend, Glasner may want to get minutes out of him given how stretched the squad will be in his absence. Mateta, Tyrick Mitchell, Nathaniel Clyne, Adam Wharton, Yeremy Pino and Daichi Kamada were either rested completely or got no more than 45 minutes on Thursday, clearly with one eye on City's visit.

Latest News: Having missed out in Gameweek 15, Ryan Sessegnon (hamstring) isn’t ready to return this weekend. The Cottagers will be without Rodrigo Muniz (hamstring) till 2026, too. Forgotten man Antonee Robinson (knee) has trained this week, however, so now it’s just a question of when Marco Silva throws the USA international into a matchday squad. Everyone else is available, while Alex Iwobi, Samuel Chukwueze and Calvin Bassey play their final matches before departing for the Africa Cup of Nations. You'd fancy all of them to start, too, as there'll be plenty of work demanded of others while they're away over Christmas and New Year. Emile Smith Rowe has been performing very well of late and will hope to again get the nod over Joshua King, while a knackered-looking Raul Jimenez, deprived of Muniz's competition, continues to toil up top. The one possible fly in the ointment is an EFL Cup quarter-final next Wednesday, so there's the possibility of Silva having one eye on that at Turf Moor.

Latest News: Lukas Nmecha (hamstring), Daniel James (hamstring) and Sean Longstaff (calf) remain out for the Whites but everyone else is available. Leeds have had some success in the 3-5-2 in the last three Gameweeks but it was only after a switch back to 4-3-3 that they mounted a comeback against Liverpool. It's possible that Jaka Bijol makes way from this predicted XI, then, with Wilfried Gnonto and/or Brenden Aaronson brought in out wide. Formation change aside, there's a good chance of seeing Ao Tanaka come in for Ilia Gruev. Tanaka was only benched because of minute management in Gameweek 15 and, after coming on as a substitute to score against Liverpool, you'd expect him to get a recall at Brentford. Noah Okafor is arguably the weakest link in attack at present, with Leeds missing the link-up play of Nmecha.

Latest News: Alexander Isak picked up a knock in midweek, so Arne Slot will check on his big-money striker before deciding on the level of his involvement against Brighton. There's no chance of seeing recent casualties Cody Gakpo (muscle) or Wataru Endo (ankle), however, while Jeremie Frimpong (hamstring), Stefan Bajcetic (hamstring) and Jayden Danns (hamstring) are also thought to remain sidelined and Conor Bradley is banned. Giovanni Leoni (ACL) is out for the season, too. Federico Chiesa (illness) should be back, at least, while Mohamed Salah will reportedly be involved against the Seagulls after a reconciliation of sorts with Slot. To what extent is the big question, especially as his teammates did so well without him in Milan. The opening could be Isak's injury, as Salah would seem nicely suited to one of the two forward roles alongside Hugo Ekitike in the 4-4-2 diamond. However, that's not the only solution - Florian Wirtz came off the bench in midweek to replace Isak and Liverpool looked better for it, so Salah may have to settle for substitute duty if the likes of Alexis Mac Allister and Curtis Jones have the legs to go again. One other plausible change is a regular one: Milos Kerkez in for Andrew Robertson at left-back.

Toure did at least add that he thought John Stones (thigh) would be "back soon" and that Rodri (hamstring) is "training really well" but still sidelined. Mateo Kovacic (ankle) is also out. Toure meanwhile confirmed that the AFCON-bound Rayan Ait-Nouri and Omar Marmoush would be around for the trip to Crystal Palace, departing for Morocco thereafter. As for the predicted XI, the games keep coming and the anticipated rotation doesn't. Over the past six Gameweeks, a remarkable 10 players are ever-present starters, with the only alteration being the Rayan Cherki-Tijjani Reijnders switcheroo. Guardiola even kept the same team for the midweek win over Real Madrid. Next Wednesday's EFL Cup tie against Brentford looks like a good time to field the likes of Oscar Bobb, Savinho, Rico Lewis and Abdukodir Khusanov but with Ait-Nouri and Marmoush not around for that, could Pep be tempted into fielding his exiting duo at Selhurst Park in one final leg-saving exercise? Marmoush for Jeremy Doku, for instance, and Ait-Nouri for Nico O'Reilly.

At the time of writing, Ruben Amorim still doesn't have a departure date for the three players, Bryan Mbeumo, Amad Diallo and Noussair Mazraoui, who are set to leave for AFCON. Most Premier League players will be able to contest their Gameweek 16 fixtures before leaving for Morocco but with the Red Devils not playing until Monday, FIFA's "mandatory release" day, there is a bit more uncertainty. United could find out for sure by Saturday. Media reports suggest Mbeumo and Amad have the best chance of featuring, with more doubt around Mazraoui as his nation are involved in the tournament opener, ergo he may need a quicker getaway. Leny Yoro could be needed at centre-half, then. Should the worst come to worst with the other two, Joshua Zirzkee and Patrick Dorgu would likely stand to benefit, with others shuffling positions to accommodate them. Other than that, surely little change from the 4-1 win at Wolves on Monday.

Howe did at least find time to confirm that he wasn't expecting any of his injured players back (although didn't completely rule it out), so Sven Botman (back), Kieran Trippier (hamstring), Emil Krafth (knee), Will Osula (ankle) and Nick Pope (groin) will likely remain out. After the Leverkusen game, Howe had also confirmed a problem for Joelinton (groin), but it was too soon to determine the severity of it. Lewis Miley has impressed of late and is probably in pole position to take over from Joelinton, should a replacement be required. Lewis Hall and Jacob Murphy likely return from midweek breathers, while Anthony Gordon has played himself into a bit of form and probably gets the nod ahead of Harvey Barnes on the left.

While a league start may come too soon for Luiz, Bakwa and probably Zinchenko, Murillo has been out for a shorter period of time, so match fitness oughtn't to be such a big issue. Igor Jesus, Morgan Gibbs-White, Ibrahima Sangare and Elliot Anderson were all benched on Thursday, suggesting they'll be recalled here, so the main question is over who gets the nod to flank them. While Reinildo is almost a shoo-in to return at left-back, does Trai Hume drop out to accommodate him, switch flanks, or perhaps play further forward, as he did on the right wing at Anfield last week? Lutsharel Geertruida is another candidate to make way. Matching Newcastle's combative midfield three might be on Regis Le Bris' wishlist, so we could see Hume inverting into the engine room or Enzo Le Fee redeployed centrally. Further forward, Bertrand Traore and Chemsdine Talbi continue to trade starts before they both head for AFCON (Talbi has been culpable for a handful of goals recently), while it's the pace and movement of Wilson Isidor versus the physical presence of Bryan Brobbey up top.

Brennan Johnson should be available after a minor issue, meanwhile. Generous recovery periods on either side of the Forest game means the back four likely picks itself at the City Ground, while the front four is not far off doing the same after Wilson Odobert fluffed his audition in midweek. As for midfield, you'd imagine that it's Rodrigo Bentancur and one other; potentially Archie Gray as he been prominent in the recent upturn in form and growing into the side. Pape Matar Sarr and Lucas Bergvall are alternatives, although the latter has been doing much of his good work further forward lately. It has tended to be one of Bentancur or Joao Palhinha in the side recently, not both, with that conservative combo not seen since the north London derby.

Nuno did at least confirm that Ollie Scarles (shoulder) is an "option" after the young defender returned to training; he will likely be needed when Aaron Wan-Bissaka and El Hadji Malick Diouf head off to AFCON after Gameweek 16. Igor Julio, ineligible to face his parent club last weekend, is available this Sunday, too. Nuno is a bit spoiled for choice this week as the (presumably) fatigue-led changes he made last Sunday - not just personnel but also system, a striker-less 3-4-3 - almost contributed to a victory at Brighton. Still, you'd probably expect Freddie Potts and/or Soungoutou Magassa to return to the midfield (Guido Rodriguez wasn't *that* good), while Max Kilman will likely be the fall guy if Nuno reverts to a 4-3-3/4-2-3-1. If Nuno opts to go without Callum Wilson again, then Crysencio Summerville could get a look-in as Jarrod Bowen or Lucas Paqueta spearheads the attack.

Joao Gomes is at least back from a one-match ban, and you'd expect him to return to the centre of midfield. As for the rest of the XI, who knows after the 4-1 mauling by Manchester United. Edwards could read the riot act and make sweeping changes, or give the same players who flopped the chance to make amends. Hwang Hee-Chan and Tolu Arokodare may enter the thinking up top (Jhon Arias has been particularly disappointing of late), while Fer Lopez saw his first minutes for Edwards as a substitute in Gameweek 15. Matt Doherty is now available again but after not kicking a ball since October, a start might be a stretch.
