Lampard Out of Wolves Visit

Frank Lampard will miss Chelsea’s trip to Wolves this weekend with a virus. As reported by Greek Fan’s tweet earlier, Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti broke the news in this morning’s press conference.

The Chelsea boss is predicting that Lampard will make a return for the Champions League tie with Inter in midweek but the midfielder will play no part at Molineux.

Lampard’s absence will likely see another start for Joe Cole, with Deco also ruled out. Ancelotti also seems set to go with Ballack and Mikel in midfield, with Malouda or Kalou competing for a start on the left.

This setback will be significant for Lampard owners. Chelsea will miss gameweek 29 due to to the FA Cup programme, so many will be considering using this opportunity to get rid with a straight swap with Arsenal’s Fabregas the likely option of choice.

its a brave/stupid man not to captain Rooney this week as everyone above me in the tabe surely will. im thinking of Valencia…

If it worked I would (probably) be back up in top 20, if it didn’t I would (defo) be outside top 100 probably never to return.

    What you guys think?

I’ve been pondering this for a while.. the only way to gain on the rivals really is by doing things like that.. But dare you?

Don’t be silly when you’re way up there. Play safe with Rooney and you’ll get an advantage over people who don’t even have Valencia.

depends really. id love to captain milner this week but i am 60 clear of 2nd and 150 clear of 3rd in my minileague and if i win i get £600 if i come 2nd i get £400 so all i have to do is match people and its sort of spoiled the fun as i dont really want to take risks anymore

Which one out of… Kuyt, Milner, Malouda, Diamanti, Saha, Agbonlahor, Defoe, Bent, Bendtner. Plenty of choice. Help appreciated.

As the sap who two days ago had Diaby and Lampard in midfield, I feel robbed.
