A number of you have noticed that the season ticker page is missing and that the teams have been removed from the season ticker on the front page. This is due to an email I received from the Premier League representatives DataCo this morning. They own the Premier League fixture list and have informed me that the ticker caused “an infringement of the Leagues’ legal rights” and should therefore be removed, unless I purchase a licence for the fixture list. I’ve yet to receive notice on just how much this will cost me but I believe it to be pretty substantial.
I’ve entered into correspondence with them on this with a view to sorting something out for next season but right now, the team data from the ticker has to be removed. I’ll keep you posted.
