The ScoutCast – Episode 57 – Bottom Heavy
Filed under: Fantasy Football Podcast, Featured - Posted by: G-G-Granville
While the title alludes to a debate on the merits of Kevin Campbell and Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, it is instead a new podcast spilling with words on the Fantasy Football craze that’s taken the nation by storm – buy cheap at the back, buy big up front.
It’s working, in fact it’s working rather too well. Can it continue? Mark and I lay the subject down, cut it open and sift through the giblets to offer our post mortem. Messy stuff.
Elsewhere, the minutes are filled with more discussion on the fixtures vs form argument, with the usual regulars scattered liberally.

“City can go on as much as they like. That’s what you would expect, but the history of our club stands us aside. We don’t need to worry about that. I think we have a rich history, better than anyone, and it’ll take them a century to get to our level of history.”
Sir Alex Ferguson points to United's rich history in the light of City's title win

September 23 at 12:04 pm
jumbokevin says:
yes, but he’ll be taken off at HT
September 23 at 12:08 pm
Specialist says:
Hope not. But I think he will.

fourtynine says:
I have exactly the same dilemma.
September 23 at 10:45 am
mackay007 says:
Need to choose who to play this week Simpson (BLA) (I already have Krul playing) or Moses (TOT)?
September 23 at 10:42 am
Hybrid.power says:
Simpson.
September 23 at 10:43 am
CleverlyTheWayForward says:

King Cabbage says:
Double up on Newcastle.
September 23 at 10:45 am
Zetland says:
I fancy Rooney for captain this weekend, scored a virtual hatrick last weekend against Chelsea (freak penalty slip & ridiculous generosity for berb’s miss) – he can do the business again tomorrow.
September 23 at 10:50 am
sir alex barraclough says:
oh Zetland
i dont know what to do now uve said that

Holy See says:
So any prediction on Scout picks. Krul, Bos, Gibbs, Enrique, Richards, Silva, Mata, Cabaye, Arteta, Aguero, VanP. Bit ManU-less.
September 23 at 10:46 am
Bubbles says:
OMG, new post.
September 23 at 11:32 am
fourtynine says:
RMT pls:
Krul (Vorm)
De Laet , S Taylor, Bosingwa, J Enrique (Ward)
Moses, Silva, Arteta(Dyer, Tchoyi)
Dzeko, Rooney, RVP(c)
Transfers made this GW : 1 , FT left : 0 , Bank : 2.9m
I want to ditch Tchoyi since he’s not playing. I could upgrade Dzeko ot Aguero, although I never switch players from the same team. De Laet is a disaster for Norwich recently, I doubt if he’s even going to play at all. Moses is probably playing his last in my team too.

Torres - Just one more week till he scores big! says:

September 23 at 11:51 am
JB says:
Couple of questions, all answers really appreciated!
1. Captain Dzeko, Rooney or Suarez? (Currently on Dzeko)
2. Bench Brown, Brunt or Cabaye? (Currently benching Brunt)
September 23 at 12:20 pm
mysteryDave says:
I think Dzeko is going to score but there is always a chance he might not even start. If he played only 10 minutes at the end you could end up only scoring snakes eyes.
Not Cabaye, You could bench Brown and have him come on if Brunt doesn’t play.

The Joga Bonitos says:
I’m thinking about dropping Suarez and RVP this week, so i’m expecting them to both score hattricks such the rub of the green is giving me.
Anyone reckon Drogba’ll start against chelsea?
September 23 at 12:03 pm
jumbokevin says:
against chelsea? hmm dont think he could even if he wanted to
September 23 at 12:05 pm
The Joga Bonitos says:
Ooops, I meant f@#k, you know what I mean
September 23 at 12:14 pm
jumbokevin says:
why would u wanna get rid of RVP and Suarez. This is the perfect week for them both. Dont tell me you’re trading them away for Drogs. The Swans arent bad when it comes to defence. Im going to predict 2 goals or 1goal+1assist for both RVP and Suarez
September 23 at 12:25 pm
jumbokevin says:
who takes the FKs and L/R corners at chelsea?
September 23 at 1:38 pm
zdawg says:
Ramsey or Larson?
September 23 at 7:15 pm
Gaz Downright says:
swp
September 23 at 4:33 pm
Goodfish says:
Anyone who doesn’t have Suarez as captain this week will die a sorry death. 4-3-3 is the way to go. Anyone else hear the call that says Anderson will get a goal and an assist tomorrow? If not, get on it! PS. Aguero and Rooney to continue with a goal a piece.
September 24 at 3:11 am
Gaxx says:
I don’t have Suarez and will laugh my head off when he will only return 2 points at end of play. Wolves will clam-up and try the same tactic they deployed last season. As for Anderson getting a goal and assist tomorrow – only strong psychiatric prescriptive medication or magic mushrooms could make me believe that will come true.
PS Long will score and so will Moses!
September 24 at 10:37 am
Gaffer says:
I’m playing captain merry go round at the moment with -
Aguero / Roon / Adebayor / Mata
I’m thinking Adebayor……….question is just how sharp has he looked thus far ?
