Back in blighty, I make a long-awaited return to the podcast studio, armed with a barrel full of “miffeds”. Top of list – what happened last week? I turn my back and Mark goes and finds himself a new co-host. Luckily, the concept of Mark sharing the ScoutCast airwaves with renowned football expert was quickly frowned upon by the masses, paving the way for my jubilant return.

I say jubilant, the fact is that Mark established a decent mini-league lead in my absence, giving me a few jibes to duck in between moans. Such banter is sprinkled around the ScoutCast regulars, as we turn our backs of the high-brow discussion of last week’s outing, to plunge the depths of Fantasy football nonsense.

    Vorm
    Enrique, Jones, Gabbidion,
    Silva, Walters, Drenthe, VDV
    RVP(c), Adebayor(vc), Aguero

Subs – Ruddy, Raylor, Shawcross, Ferguson

    Should I :

    1. Drenthe > O’Hara this week, means I still have Aguero > Ba next.
    2. Drenthe > Allen or
    3. Keep FT for next GW and Aguero > Ba & Ferguson > ?

Im not sure if I am reading you right but I think Aguero > Ba means that your going to xfer IN demba ba. I am going through the same decision, and I think with Newcastles fixtures coming up it is a smart investment to bring Ba in for Aguero, who could in fact not play this game, or only get a half…and then spread the wealth to your midfield to maybe sub out gabbidion or Drenthe.

      indy says:

I think Richards over Jones is an ok choice although Man City come up against Chelsea / Arsenal after this week, so clean sheets could be scarce. Richards attacking prowess makes him a good presence on any team though. Im a little worried about Jones, he is currently on my team, and even though I feel he should be cemented in the lineup, he does give away unlucky own goals and has been known to be rested.

About brining in Aguero, I am not so sure. I would stick with adebayor, he is too hot to take out of your team and you can spread the wealth around….maybe picking up Baines who is pricey but has nice fixtures this month and is the form of his season. ;)

He got rested once (now started all but 2 PL games) and scored 1 own goal. That’s not what I’d call a pattern.

    indy says:

What you guys think about taking out Wes Brown and Aguero for Demba Ba and walcott. Mancini’s giving me a bad feeling about playing aguero the full 90, and even if he played a half I would recon a goal, yet walcott is on form and at Wigan. Ba is going to be a great investment bc they have kind fixtures right after Chelsea, (who i could still see scoring against) and I believe Sunderland isn’t in their best form after loosing their manager.

Do you guys think this is a good choice? or could I just wait one more week to make the changes

      indy says:

I don’t think Sunderland will be in form loosing their manager, Wolves I think will come out on top getting back Jarvis and O’hara on form. I would say R.Taylor because Newcastle’s fixtures are going to ease up after Chelsea, and he adds an attacking prowess that can get you goals and BP’s. This week Dyer could do well, and newcastle could give up goals. this week I would go with Dyer, but for the future, R. Taylor

Rooney and Suarez out with RVP and Ba coming in to ppay alongside Adebayor with my two free transfers this week?

A solid move or bandwagon jumping a little too late? I know Liverpool and United have a decent run of fixtures coming up but both sides and those players in particular have been struggling for goals of late.

    Lampard – Silva – Pilkington – Walters – (Dyer)
    Rooney – RVP – (A Johnson)

I have 2 transfers but no cash remaining. Do i drop Lampard and get Bale/VDV? Any help would be much appreciated?

    Hello All,

I have gone a bit mad this week and taken a hit on Rooney & Enrique > Adebayor & BAE…. Leaving enough cash to upgrade Sturridge next weekend to Hernandez…..

    My team is:

    Vorm,

    Kompany, R.Taylor, BAE

    Silva, Bale, Ramsey, Sessengnon

    Adebayor (vc), Sturridge, RVP (c)

    Bench:

    Given, Dyer,ShawX, Brown

I reckon a solid score of 50 is achieveable!

1.4m in the bank. Yeh, meh or nah:

Given to Vorm? (or Westwood or Krul)
VDV to Bale? (feels a but knee jerky to me)
    Both 4 point?

    Next week Bentner to Ba

    reubster says:

Sorry if this has been discussed before… but isn’t RVP a rotation risk this weekend. Easy fixture against Wigan, already qualified top in their Champions League group… he’ll bench him won’t he and only bring him on if the ship is sinking late on… which given how much they miss him when he has been rested is no foregone conclusion even against lowly Wigan!

Also I can see Fergie going for youthful pace against Villa – a la Spurs.. maybe starting Fabio/Raphael instead of Jones? He’ll look to hit them hard and early, get on top with 2 or 3, and then keep the ball. He won’t want Villa putting balls in the box for Heskey to muscle in on.

    No?
