Chelsea tonight booked their passage to the FA Cup Quarter-Finals with a 2-0 win at Birmingham. The victory ensures that they will face Leicester City on March 18. This means that their league fixture for that weekend – the trip to Man City which was scheduled for Monday March 19 is now postponed. Both Chelsea and Man City now have a missing fixture in Gameweek 29.

Having seen the other FA Cup postponements shifted to midweek later in Gameweek 29, we can anticipate that the same fate will befall this match with Wednesday March 21 the likely date.

We will hopefully get confirmation of the rescheduled match very soon. For now, however, the season tickers will be updated to show a blank fixture in Gameweek 29 for both teams.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

    Morning,

    Wondering what the consensus is - play Ba or Dempsey?

    I feel Ba has been pretty unlucky last couple of weeks and think we'll score at the Emirates. Villa perhaps starting to tighten up a bit and with Fulhams away form, I could see Villa nicking that one 1-0 ... thoughts?

      Likely that NEW will try to revert to BA alone to recapture that form. But ARS may well be a different prospect from now on. They do owe NEW a spanking....

      Fulham are also improving - Dempsey's performance against Italy gave him a shot in the arm.

      Just giving the other side 🙂

      Ba jus edges it, I think fulham can improve away , tbf Jol has them playing nicely , 25 passes before Dempsey converted with aplomb couple that with the MacLeish effect and you never know.

      I can see the Arsenal vs. Toon game being quite a high scoring game, one in which neither side will keep a clean sheet. Ba has to be involved this week, like you said he's been very unlucky.

      Villa are turning into the Wigan of last season - they could be great, they could be poor. You never know what to expect.

      This said I feel a bit of a hypocrite as I am playing both Demps and Ba this week!

      I think Ba's production will slow cosiderably now.

      Dempsey still appears to be productive and has good fixtures and a team in red hot form right now. All the things Ba doesn't seem to have going for him at the moment.

      I took Ba out on Monday night for Rooney and Dempsey is still in my team so you know which side of the argument I'm on.

        I punted on Ba post ACON, knowing that he was unlikely to score at old levels for a number of reasons. While he's still a good player, 3 striker slots means no passengers! Go Big or Go Cheap etc.

      I'm selling Dempsey this week!

      Had always been the plan and need to stick with it.

      Seen as mainly scores in homes and think the only ones he might go crazy in are Wigan and Norwich.

      I'm bringing in Utd midfielder (Young or Nani).

      I would lean to playing Ba over Dempsey though from your position. Agree that Villa are tightening up and Dempsey is still in rotation on penalty duties.

      There's no real right or wrong answer. Both fixtures aren't great so personally I would play Dempsey as he is the form player.

      Is your front 8 that good you have to sacrifice one of these guys?

        I wouldn't say it's "that" good but I'm not dropping Bale (eve), Silva (swa), Nani (WBA), Suarez (DGW), RVP (NEW) or ... and yes, I'm playing Surman (WIG) over both of them.

    If Robin Van Persie was to be re-incarnated in this life, I reckon he'd come back as a tea tray because he's so used to carrying 10 mugs ! ☕

        nothing wrong with doubling (or trebling) on the team with the 3rd highest clean sheets and who have nice fixtures until the end

          Ideological factors aside, x3 stoke at the right times was deevastating. x3 Pool is costlier.

          Of course, you know your onions, but I'm not one for the Mersey Ferry - too slow, man, too slow.

    Morning chaps, bit of advice.

    I want to do Aguero-->Rooney, but can't without making up 0.5. Team link in user name, any ideas for me?

    Currently thinking;

    Walters-->Drenthe
    Walters-->Henderson.

    Should I forget about Rooney for now and stick to my no hit policy? Taking a hit doesn't seem that bad if I know i'm going to get 4pts out of a player minimum (hopefully).

      What about riise>jevan, ag> roo, you already have swarch and it improves your utd cover. Do Walters in week or so???

        Suppose I should have given a bit of background. My main concern is my rival, who already has Jevans, Riise has been a nice differential for me of late. But I take your point, seems a lot of people are ignoring the DGW altogether.

        Walters is beginning to stink the place out of my team though...wish I had never held on.

      Definitely get Rooney in.

      Walters is definitely the one to get rid of now. Drenthe doesn't seem like a good option though. Terrible fixtures after the dgw and not particularly great ones in the dgw either.

      though

      Why are people bothering with Henderson? Absolutely crazy. You'll want to get rid of him soon after the DGW, probably at a points cost. Drenthe isn't much better.

    Play positive- ba is "due" and IMO soggy/Swansea can cause city problems and score 1 or 2, you know who'll be involved. Stoke/newc will concede.
