Reluctantly creeping back into the studio, tail protruding between my weary legs, I cut a forlorn figure for the return of the ScoutCast. Nevertheless, after a two-week break, I brave another half-hour of bile and banter with host Mark to bring the curtain down on my season to forget.

The Samaritans listening needn’t be concerned. I was smiling by the end, if only to see Mark almost on his knees begging me to rethink any plans of Fantasy Football retirement. The very idea.

In between my whining, we give the season a post-mortem, speculate on next season’s prices and assess the tussle at the top of the FPL with another Scout winner still a possibility.

Get this one big miffed of a Scoutcast via this link or use the convenient little player below to stream away.

    Morning,

Chasing a 14 pt lead and looking for some differential – would you dump Dempsey or Nani this week to free up funds? Nani is obvious choice but if Nani plays he’s much more of a differential. Any advice would be most welcome. Cheers.

    Sir Paul Scholes says:

I have a 25 point lead over my rival, as he has taken a 4 point hit already this week. I’m assuming he has drafted in Aguero and probably Kompany for Sagna:

    Him:

    Al-Habsi

    McAuley Gibbs Sagna

    Ben Arfa McClean Dempsey Bale

    Rooney Van Persie Jelavic

    Bench: Nani, Simpson, BAE

    Me:

    Ruddy

    Ream Enrique Evra

    VdV Valencia Moses Bale

    Jelavic Van Persie Rooney

    Bench: Taiwo Simpson McClean

His defence is shot so he has probably put in a City defender. He just doesn’t take out RvP either. Is it worth me banking the 4 points he’s spent on transfers and just doing the one?

    My initial thoughts are:

    (a) Rooney to Aguero (c)
    (b) Enrique to Lescott
    (c) Valencia to Yaya
    (d) a range of doubles (Rooney to Aguero (c) and Ream to Clichy.

Not sure its worth spending four points to draft in a defender, who is only likely to gain me four or five at most.

    I’m protecting a 17 point lead.

This is my team for the final week :-

    Vorm

    Caldwell / Taylor / McAuley

Valencia / Sigurdsson / Van der Vaart / Silva

Aguero / Rooney / Van Persie

Subs:- Krul / McClean / Simpson / Wilkinson

I’ve made 1 change and brought in Aguero for Papis Cisse.

Am considering taking a -4 hit to replace Siggy with Petrov. (as my rival has him).

Any idea if its worth it or should i stick with Siggurdson?

      Sir Paul Scholes says:

Don’t take a hit if you’re protecting a lead. You don’t need a differential. Try to cover what transfers you think he’ll make.

Hi currently 14pts behind leader going into the last gmwk.

My squad at the moment is as follows

    Mignolet krul

    Caulker evans vermaelen turner skrtel

    Dempsey siggurdson vdv bale Valencia

    Rooney jelavic rvp

1ft and 0.0m in the bank

    His squad is as follows:

    Bogdan mignolet

    Williamson Enrique Kompany koscielny caulker

    Valencia petrov bale pienaar cabaye

    Aguero rvp rooney

    1ft 0.0m in the bank

So how is the best way to make up the 15pt lead?

Do I take out rooney for ageuro and make him captain which I think he will and hope the rest of my team can make the points up?

Or do I take a risk on someone like torres as captain hoping he can be a differential and score a hattrick?

Iv also played some mind games to my opponent and told him I will put in aguero to cancel him out but put someone else in to make captain. In doing this I hope he gets put off of makin ageuro captain.

Your ideas and thoughts would be appreiciated. He is already bragging and its doing my nut in!!!!
