We may have waved farewell to Euro 2012 just less than a week ago but already Fantasy managers can start to plan for the domestic season ahead, with the news that the official Sky Sports game is now open for business.

The first Fantasy game released for the 2012/13 season, there is £100,000 in prizes to be won in this free-to-enter competition, with a cool £25K handed out to the winner. With Sky quick out the blocks on the back of today’s updated tv fixture list, rival competitions are likely not to be too far behind, forging a sense of anticipation amongst the community as we await the opening of the upcoming Fantasy Premier League (FPL) game.

Already, we’re looking over the Sky game and weighing it up for inclusion amongst our official Scout Leagues – for now, this is just a heads-up but stay tuned…

  1. What do u gents thing Giroud will produce this season leading the line? I hope to god Ars don't keep Bendy and try to start him up front...

    1. Bendtner is class.

    2. He can keep Bendy and start him in the League cup

    3. Whatever little I have seen Giroud play He probably is in the same category as a Dzeko..

      1. so basically another Chamakh then?

  2. AA

SS team . Thoughts please ?

    Freidel

    Kompany | Ivanovic | Hangeland | Dunne

    Noble | Bale | Marin | Nasri

    Petric | Bent

    1. Wouldn't go for Marin or Petric at this stage.

      1. AA
        • Reputation Level: Scout

Yeah,i'll have a look at the pre season and then decide but marin could actually be worth the punt for the first few gameweek's i reckon . If dempsey is off, petric could be a good shout ?

        1. Adz
          • Reputation Level: Scout

          I like petric

  3. how are you guys logging into sky sports; i've done it for ages but cannot log in yet. I just keep getting the message saying it will start soon

    1. I did it straight from the link on the article here Forest.

      1. It finally works:) I have uninstalled all my old links, so dont know if that had anything to do with it? thanks flynn; i can feel a late night coming

  4. Any chance United will sign Rvp? What do you reckon

    1. No chance imo, he wants to win trophies in the next couple of seasons, Chelsea/Citeh/Juve imo

      1. United not up for the trophy, is this what u think?

        1. Citeh
          Chelsea
          Utd

          1. No way.

            United
            Citeh
            Chelski

          2. Maybe, but u can't write off United so easily.. Remember Vidic was not there last season.

            1. Not writing Utd off, it'll be close but as the Utd squad stands, I just favour the other 2 to finish higher

    2. I thought about it at first, but after signing Powell, and not shifting Berba yet, I just can't see it.

      1. May I get your rotation ticker?

          1. lovely.. Priceless. :D

            1. No it's £20. ;)

              1. Yep..

I'll pop round later with the bill...

    3. No, Arsenal are Man City's feeder club, Clichy, Nasri, RVP.

        1. Paid through their nose for these two, they did :)

        2. Patrick Vieira, David Platt, Brian Marwood...

          1. They'll have Pat Rice their soon...

      1. What's next?

  5. If anyone spots the football handicap prices when the bookies bring them out I would appreciate you letting me know.
They're my favourite season long bets and multiples.

  6. Are the Sky prices similar to FPLs usually? If so why don't we try make a 15 man squad out of them? Could put us in good stead for FPL?

    1. Harte 3.8m, Aguero 9.9m and Arteta 6.2m so not at all similar

      1. They are similar if u play the percentage game

    2. don't think they are similar.

    3. I think he means create a 15 man squad with only £75m.

      1. Agree Parmtree. They are similar.

So basically if Kun is 9.9/75 than in FPL he is x/100

        1. That goes 9.9/75 = x/100

        2. Yep.

          Therefore he's £13m.

      2. May give it a go!

      3. I hadn't thought of that. Ignore post below. :(

    4. They should be 75% of FPL, but the different games vary by a lot at times.

  7. Cech
    Baines / Hangeland / Agger / Harte
    Siggy / Arteta / Nolan
    Aguero / Torres / Bent

Hows this team look considering Skysports rules?

  8. Brazil's Olympic squad:

    Goalkeepers: Rafael, Neto
Defenders: Alex Sandro, Marcelo, Danilo, Rafael da Silva, B.Uvini, Juan, T.Silva.
Midfielders: Sandro, Rômulo, Ganso, Lucas, Oscar
    Forwards: Hulk, Damiao, Neymar, Pato.

Key omissions are Dani Alves and Luiz. Happy for Rafael.

    1. Look at those forwards

      1. Scary aren't they!

    2. Great keeper alright, Happy for him too ;)

      1. Touche, :) .

    3. Rafa
      Rafa, Silva, Juan, Marcelo
      Lucas, Sandro, Ganso
      Hulk, Neymar, Pato

    4. Neto seems an appropriate name for a keeper!

      1. Hah :)

    5. That is an incredible team.

  9. NEW POST

    Got a smug 1st ever FIRST :)

    1. When did you change your name Aatish?

  10. anyone else thinking this Chelsea DGW has thrown a spanner in some GW1 works? We are likely to captain a Chelsea player for GW1 now, whereas without it most of us would probably have captained Aguero or Silva.

    1. I don't see it as a massive bonus as they have no game GW3.

      1. Bench + Trannies?

      2. I see your point, but what I'm saying is that you would not likely have captained a Chelsea player in GW1 over Aguero at home to Southampton were it not for their DGW.

  11. Were bonus points awarded in last years SS game for completed passes made and successful tackles made or is this something new which has been added to the scoring? Thanks.

    1. Something completely new, which is why a lot of the defenders this year are of a higher price.

Also responding to questons asked peviously about the prices being similar, because the scoring is different to the FPL e.g 4 points for a goal regardless of your position, strikers tend to be more expensive than midfielders.

  12. De Gea

    Neville Huth Cuellar Fabio

    Fellaini Nolan Mata

    Aguero(C) Torres Rooney

    Nice!

  13. Going to do Sky again, good game nice and simple. Ditching Dream Team though, transfer window thing is a pain, means you get stuck for months with injuries.

Fabio looks a steal at first glance. And Zabaleta maybe?

  14. I noticed that The Daily Telegraph is allowing people their 1st Fantasy Football team for the 2012/13 season FOR FREE: "To celebrate 20 years of Telegraph Fantasy Football, your first team for the 2012/13 season will be on us - completely free of charge. It states that registration will start on Wednesday 11th July!

“I love to attack and I love to go up front...It is a little more difficult than when you are playing centre-back. If you play the way that I want to play, I think my influence is better as a left-back. For the team, it is best that I play as a centre-back. I like to bring the ball out. You need to move the game quickly, and that is one of my qualities as well.”

Jan Vertonghen outlines what he feels is his best position for Andre Villas-Boas
