Wednesday Dugout Discussion

Filed under: Dugout Discussion - Posted by: Akers

The first gameweek of the season concludes tonight at Stamford Bridge, as Chelsea look to take an early lead at the top of the Premier League with victory over Reading. Their commitments in next week’s Super Cup brought this fixture forward, and the Dugout Discussion opens in anticipation of delightful double-gameweek points.

The team news for tonight’s encounter is in, and the sides will line-up as follows…

Chelsea XI: Cech, Ivanovic, Cahill, Terry, Cole, Lampard, Ramires, Mikel, Mata, Hazard, Torres.

Reading XI: Federici, Gunter, Pearce, Leigertwood, Harte, Karacan, McAnuff, Guthrie, Gorkss, Pogrebnyak, McCleary.

Both teams make two changes from their opening day line-ups. For the hosts, Ramires has recovered from the illness that kept him out at Wigan, with Ryan Bertrand making way, and Gary Cahill replaces the injured David Luiz. Reading replace Hal Robson-Kanu and Adam Le Fondre with Jem Karacan and Garath McCleary.

Enjoy the action as it happens in our Dugout Discussion chatroom, which can be accessed right here.

    Sorry for repost:

    Anyone wildcarding?

    Thinking:
    Cole to williams
    Lampard to Hazard
    Maloney to Nasri
    Podolski to Graham
    Torres to Rooney

Only way to beat the price rises

Podge, if you didn't know it's Kacaniklic :) says:

Feck price rises, take a 8 point hit if u must but wildcard is worth more than that. Maloney to Nasri is unnecessary, Lamps to Hazard is sideways and Cole to Williams is also unnecessary.

TheSportsGuy - you say cabay I say hello says:

Hazard (c) and michu were there in my team until a brilliant idea came to my head – I can get tot cover AND chelsea midfield cover with vdv and Ramirez and I can captain Torres.
Did that just 24 hours before kick off.

Only cost about 50 points. No biggie.

I’m going to go Toni Scott right now. Need a bridge.

    Tempted to wildcard Sat am.

Have jsut done Mata > Hazard for 4pts, but by Sat might have gained 0.1m so then Hazard > Carzola and get rid of all 3 of my Reading players in advance of GW3.

Or wait til Sat pm wildcard and get in all the risingplayers and shift outReading jsut before the GW deadline.

Decided to switch Hazard for Ramires and Michu for Cazorla before lockout :( Now I’m stuck with N’Zog as well! My thinking after the next gameweek is to do Torres -> Ade and Ramires -> Michu/Hazard. If I do the latter then I can’t get Nasri in for N’Zogbia.

    So:
    A) Michu, Nasri?
    B) Hazard, N’Zogbia?

Cant understand people geting hazard for mata? surely they have more than one chelsea player in their team and therefor wont have them available in their team gw3. swaping like for like doesnt make sense when you should be using your transfers to good effect to have a player who will play gw3.
