Moneyball – Jason Puncheon

Filed under: Members - Posted by: Chris Glover

A successful 2011/12 promotion campaign saw Southampton rack up the goals as Nigel Adkins’ side finished second in the npower Championship. Having found the net 85 times last term, the Saints immediately placed Fantasy managers on alert and on the lookout for new blood for their squads. The most obvious and popular pick was Rickie Lambert who notched 25 goals in the Championship, while Adam Lallana and new arrivals Jay Rodriguez and later Gaston Ramirez have also been touted as potential Fantasy options. Even Morgan Schneiderlin – who had just two goals in almost 150 appearances coming into the season – has received some attention after his goal against Man United in Gameweek three.

I’m starting both Cuellar & Ridgewell. Should I put Demel or Hangeland first sub? (Also playing Jaask)

both are 2 pointers I think mate, so shouldnt matter, maybe Demel first as Hangeland has had no attacking threat for sometime.

Demel, I’d be far more surprised if City didn’t score as opposed to QPR.

      Round and Round says:

Demel. Hangeland’s goal-threat has disappeared from what I’ve seen so far this (and last) season. Had him at the start but got rid on my WC.

    Podge says:

Decided I’m not going to go without a third striker for 2 weeks as Tevez is a bit dodgy too so Berb to Lambert it is. I’m confident he’ll get 4 points more than Maloney over those 2 games and with the international break added in I reckon Berb will fall at least once. Who knows might even keep him if the Tevez rotation thing annoys me enough.

Too short sided for me – Tevez will start 1 of the next 2 and then has no International games, so probably 2/3..Hazard has Norwich at home next week. The only one I’d do is Baines but you won’t have enough $$

faving the same problem my self. my logic: having michu for this week in your team when a lot of managers are loosing faith or discarding him could be a decent boost in rankings if michu does score one or two. he is not out of form with a goal in the capital one cup. 2

      :o Exact same question!

First need to decide whether getting rid of Tevez is worth a point hit. I’m still on the fence. Though if I go ahead with it I’m thinking a swap to Aguero + 6.5 mil striker… Kone maybe? In your case you can get Aguero and Fletcher, no brainer..

    Morning Everyone (or evening elsewhere)!

I’ve made 3 transfers already, Aguero -> Suso -> Suarez (I regret the first transfer now)
That means 8 points as I’ve already used my WC.
But Berbie Doll just decided to have a red exclamation mark when I woke up this morning so I’ve got myself a bit of a dilemma. Should I use Guthrie for him ( and play 3-5-2) or should I make another transfer for another player?
