While both Theo Walcott and Juan Mata delivered the goals we needed, a lack of clean sheets meant the midweek “Flutter” fell flat, allowing Paddy to claw back some of our recent winnings. Our recent treble win still finds us in the black, however, as we approach another Gameweek with a crispy tenner at the ready. Let’s see how the Scout Picks markets are shaping up for the weekend…

The aforementioned Theo Walcott is in such form, with three goals in as many games, it would seem remiss to overlook him for this weekend’s clash with Stoke. While Theo is red hot and well fancied to net once again, Arsenal’s somewhat frail defence means that Paddy can offer us 7/2 on a Walcott goal with an Arsenal clean sheet against the Potters. We’ll go on backing Walcott’s form with a couple of quid of this week’s stake.

In contrast to the Gunners man, Marouane Fellaini is without a goal in six league outings but is unlikely to get a better opportunity than this weekend, when a beleaguered Villa pay visit to Goodison. Paul Lambert’s side have proved so vulnerable at set-plays and Fellaini’s height and power will surely be a factor which will be exploited by David Moyes. Paddy are offering a modest 4/1 on a Fellaini goal with a third Everton clean sheet in four against Villa: we’ll put a tentative couple of quid on that one.

The final player market looks more favourable, with Adel Taarabt taking his place in yesterday’s Scout Picks – he looks a strong prospect as the basement club face up to an out-of-sorts Norwich at Loftus Road. The Moroccan has been in inspired form of late, without delivering goals, but we’re backing that run to come to an end later today and are more than happy to make this our bet of the week and place a fiver on Paddy’s odds of 6/1 on a Taarabt goal with a QPR clean sheet against the Canaries.

This week’s treble offer features a Robin van Persie goal, as always, coupled with a little something from City’s magician, David Silva. Paddy are offering 11/1 on a Van Persie goal at Fulham, a Silva assist against Liverpool and an Arsenal shut-out against shot-shy Stoke at the Emirates. That little offering claims this week’s final quid.

If you’re new to Paddy Power, then you can take up any of these odds and get yourself a bonus. You can sign up via this site and get a free £20 when you register an account and bet a tenner.

Finally of course, we should state that all these offers are only available to those aged 18 and over and are subject to Paddy Power’s terms and conditions. Also, if you’re going to bet, always gamble responsibly.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.
