The Big Numbers – Gameweek 12

As always, we cast our eye over the statistics across the previous round of matches to highlight some of the stand-out performers. Chelsea’s change of formation bodes well for their midfield veteran, United’s former Toffee provides chances aplenty, Villa’s misfiring frontman still has reason for optimism, while Liverpool’s young full-back delivers a tenacious display in the Merseyside derby:

Anyone else noticed, but is that a hearing aid in Theo Walcott's right ear?

When it did a close up of him just after he had that final shot, it looked like he had a hearing aid in his right ear.

I can't find anything of the sort on google, so might of been something else for the inside of his ear.

Wally with a couple of threatening runs in behind and just had an early shot which he pulled wide...

The only question remaining is whether he has 60 minutes in him.

I think you're right. I have the money lined up so it's just a case of pulling the trigger on Ramsey > Wally. I want to be ahead of the curve, but not too far ahead that he plays less than 60 mins in the first game I get him!

Ramsey was amazing tonight. Won a penalty with amazing skill, almost scored and put great through balls through all night. No way do you want to rid him.

I don't doubt he is a talented player, but I'm looking at goals and assists in FPL.

Wally no doubt will offer more in that category and unless I sell Giroud in the next couple of weeks, he will be making way for Wally.

The alternative is a 2 step move where you bring in a cheaper mid then updrade another cheaper mid for Wally when the time comes. That way you're not just buying a player for 2 weeks then selling him

  18. Lukaku Keeping Pace With Rooney

    • 13 Years

I keep reading how Rooney is in great form and a must have etc etc but then comparing the stats to Lukaku, someone who has generally been out of form recently, the stats are quite surprising (bearing in mind the £3.2m price difference). I have taken the stats from the last 8 game's which coincided with Lukaku's move to Everton

    Rooney:
    Mins Played: 716
    Goals: 5
    Assists: 5
    Bonus: 11
    Points: 58
    PPG: 7.25

    Lukaku:
    Mins Played: 639
    Goals: 7
    Assists: 1
    Bonus: 10
    Points: 55
    PPG: 6.88

I think i'll save myself the extra £3m and spend it elsewhere.

That CS was a bit lucky as well, West Ham really should have scored after Demel dribbled past three players.

Why are these 'expert' pundits surprised that Ozil took the penalty and not Giroud, when Wenger said it was Arteta, Ozil, Giroud in that order? Do they bother reading anything?
