Yes, it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas, which normally finds us two unwise men camped in the studio clutching presents and forlorn hopes of a festive points bonanza. This year, Granville and I appear sans gifts but with familiar Fantasy aspirations ahead of the punishing holiday schedule.

My Christmas spirit is at least buoyed by the fact that I’ve wiped the indignity of a three-figure mini-league gap between myself and my co-host, although Granville still seems to be in pipe and slippers mode. He’s all set to camp himself in front of the Two Ronnies repeats, safe in the knowledge that he’s got this season wrapped up. I just wonder.

Granville battles complacency to join me while we sift through the ScoutCast regulars and find time to pray at the altar of Luis Suarez. The most effective Fantasy Footballer ever? Much it pains some to admit it, the case for the defence is looking flimsy.

      Gotcha - you mids / frontline I'd excellent so on paper ATM your only improvements are in the backline , But I'm starting to think Coleman is a season keeper and will match Baines points , actually the 2 mah be nice but seems overkill , I would do the first two moves and see what's happening by the third Coleman that is , it's more than likely tho your plan may change as it normally does !

So looks like I'll be getting Negredo instead of Rooney, unless there are any better options?

Going to get Rafael as I have been convinced by lots of people on here that he will do well over the Xmas period. Plus it will help me get rid of one of my Terrible Twosome of KToure and Baker.

  I have a strong feeling that I just can't shake that Rafael will monster West Ham, but looking objectively there is a strong case to be made that he shouldn't play 3 games in a week so soon after returning from injury. He might not play.

    Oh dear. Now the doubt is in my mind. JEvans is definitely the more sensible option. I always play sensibly and it never works out, so maybe this is the time to shake it up...

        That order looks about right, although Rafael is the only natural right-back. However, given minutes, perhaps Jones would be a better pick. I don't want to swap one non-playing defender (KToure) for another. I'll mull it over today. Thanks for your advice!

Got a dilemma gents and need some help...have 1FT and 1.4m

myhill boruc
dawson mert distin burner olson
ramsey hazard coutinho nasri januzaj
suarez rooney lukaku

problem: potential no gk for this gw
solution: upgrade boruc or myhill
issues:

1) boruc >> howard...leaves me with 0.1m which isnt enuf to do coutinho>>wally next gw without taking a hit and downgrading someone. dont know who to do downgrade if i had do, probably dawson but he will have 3 home games in 4 from next gw
2) boruc >> guzan...leaves with enuf funds to do coutinho >> wally but will need to field guzan every gw till gw23

  Good question and I'd like to know the answer.
  
  I'm currently on Mert purely because Arsenal are at home and Chelsea have blown so hot and cold - in overall terms the Arsenal defence looks stronger.
  
  Then again if Rooney doesn't make it I'm playing both.

Is Dzeko worth a punt with his pricetag and form in week? Also means I can get in silva and is rare for city to start with 1 upfront so could be a start while kun is out, the safe bet would be Negrado I know,
