Merry Christmas from Fantasy Football Scout

The Christmas Day message and, while it’s fitting for me to announce my own personal Fantasy Football “Annus horribilis”, this is a day for all Fantasy managers to put red and green arrows to one side, embrace the distractions of family and friends and return fresh on Boxing Day.

Having said that, typically, we’re not putting our slippered feet up just yet. Over the course of the day we’ll bring you the second part of Frisking the Fixtures from Roscola, while Paul and I will deliver the Boxing Day Scout Picks and “Differentials”.

So, Merry Christmas to you and your family from Fantasy Football Scout but be sure to sneak away to get yourself fully prepared for tomorrow when, through a Baileys and mincemeat haze, the Gameweek action will resume.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

I already have him but if I didn't, I would have brought him in for Palace, or even Pool at home

Is it worth using a FT on getting Mingolet out if I feel that is the most pressing area or should I wait to the Wildcard?

I would only have 5.6 to spend so not sure who is worth it.

I got rid of migs for marshall with a -4 hit. Thats how much i think migs has been awful ( clean sheet wise ) recently

Definitely get rid, I'd say, since Migs is unlikely to get much this week and you don't have a playing second keeper. Krul probably your best bet

If this guy woke up he could trouble me in the cup.

Tough, but looks like if he does wake up he'll have a hit heavy transfer frenzy
      So you should be fine

When did the greeting merry Christmas become more popular than happy Christmas? In the books in the early 20th century atleast I think happy used to be more popular. Is it a uk/us thing? Was watching downton abbey where they use happy and hence this silly question popped into my head. 😛

So i'm going to buy a new first choice GK. With the upcoming fixtures I've decided to go either Howard or Szheczhny.

As I already have Coleman, my initial intention was to get Szheczhny. However, SUN and SOT are way better fixtures than whm and new. Infact, they are so good fixtures I am willing to double up defensively, even though I usually don't do that. Arsenal's fixtures get awesome by gw 20 (CAR, avl, FUL, sot, CPL), so getting defensive cover (Koscielny) by this time seems like a good strategy.

    Sound good?
