Fantasy Football Scout Hall of Fame Updated

Over the last couple of days, we’ve updated both the Career Hall of Fame and the Live version for members. The Career version now includes all new additions to the Fantasy Football Scout leagues and is viewable to all via this link or the top menu “HoF” link. This table will be updated every week with new entrants.

The Hall of Fame is a ranking system which we apply to everyone in our Fantasy Premier League (FPL) mini-leagues – both the free and the members league. Essentially, it tracks the performances of every manager over each of the seasons they have participated and awards a “HoF rating” accordingly.

The “Live” version of the Hall of Fame, available to our Members, has been updated to include points earned in Gameweek 20. This will be updated with the latest rankings 24 hours after the conclusion of every Gameweek from this point on.

Live Hall of Fame Top 10

In the meantime, we thought we’d run the rule over those at the top following the update:

Site moderator Evs is the new number one in the Live Hall of Fame. Having finished fifth overall last year, he looks poised for yet another incredible season – he currently sits on 1,298 points, which is enough to earn him 1,846th spot overall with another 18 Gameweeks to go.

Ulrik Nylnad sits in second spot. His consistency over the past seven seasons in staggering – in six of those years, he’s finished inside the top 2,100, with his “worst” performance back in 2011/12, where he ended in 7,729th spot overall. Ulrik is currently situated around the 46,000 mark but with such an impressive history, you’d expect him to push on again.

Derek Simpson takes third spot. He ended last year in 38th position overall and has finished inside the top 4,000 in five of the last six seasons – at present, he’s just inside the 100,000 mark but has plenty time to make his mark.

In fourth, Rob Pitt has finished inside the top 1,000 in two of the last three years and is nicely poised around the 12K mark, whilst Chris Denbeigh is set for another outstanding season. He has top beaten the 2,5000 mark in six of the previous seven years and is currently situated in 2,559th spot overall.

Elsewhere in the top 10, Atiq Rahman is the highest of our featured managers in this season’s overall standings. A score of 1,304 points has helped him climb to 1,337th position – boosting his chances of finishing inside the top 5,000 for the sixth time in seven years. Pascal Evans has managed a top 1,000 finish in five of the previous seven but, currently sitting in 152,350th overall, has a task on his hands to repeat that feat.

What is the Hall of Fame?
In simple terms, this is as ranking system which can be applied to everyone in our Fantasy Premier League mini-leagues – both the free and the members league. The Hall of Fame tracks the performances of every manager over each of the seasons they have participated and awards a ranking according to the performances. We have a career table that updates every season and a live table that will be updated using the latest season data, after every Gameweek.

How is my rating calculated?
The “HoF Rating” is based on your points scores from previous FPL seasons, with the latest season weighted the heaviest and each corresponding season weighted at roughly 80% that of the previous season. So, in other words, those who performed best in 2012/13 will receive a bigger HoF Rating boost from those who did best in 2007/08. The “HoF Ranking” even allows for those with missing years, adapting the formula accordingly to allow to rank alongside the veterans of the FPL.

How do I join the Hall of Fame
Simply sign up to our leagues, either the Fantasy Football Scout Classic League (1580-1106), or if you’re a member, the Members Classic League – the code is available on the dashboard of the Members Area.

How do I find myself in the Hall of Fame?
The search box at the top of the ranking tables allows you to search by surname or by FPL id.

What if I don’t want to be listed?
Either notify us via support@fantasyfootballscout.co.uk or simply leave the Fantasy Football Scout league and you’ll be removed on the next update.

When does the Hall of Fame get updated?
The Career table is available to all and is updated at the end of each season to display the latest rankings.

The Live version of the Hall of Fame is updated every week to use the latest season data. This version will only be available to our members in the Members Area.       Go to the FPL site (log in), go to Transfers > Southampton and click that little [i] > by Ramirez's name and look at the history tab. Then come back and let us all know whether you still need an answer to that question.

    Where am I going wrong with this wct for later in thevwindow?

    Boruc, Davis,
    Coleman, Azpi, Kos, Nastasic, Chester,
    Ozil, silva, hazard, Walcott, Parker,
    Suarez, Aguero, JRod

    Still questioning Ozil vs Oscar as above and concerned the defence might be expensive. Parker and Chester are bench fodder and the 3rd sub would depend on fixtures.

                        Side note Rooney has been the bane of my fpl existence for years. I always get burnt by all his hatricks etc then whenever I get him and/or captain him he fails/gets injured/catches on fire

    Sorry guys, dragged away.

    Your replies re alternative games. Some of these should only be undertaken by people not requiring transfers every week as they may be limited transfer games. Some need an attention span beyond that of an ADHD two year old. But stick with them. Not all are better and in many cases their formatting and stats are lamentable.
    I'll go best to worst top to bottom, in my opinion, but not much in many and the different systems can take a year or two to get used to, so don't write off any on my say so. Others who play any/all feel free to chip in with yours.
    Saying something is rubbish because you've heard someone else say it is or your girlfriend/boyfriend doesn't like it or the paper /organization that run it, invalidates any argument against that Fantasy Football game. It's FF not your life politics.

    Metro OPTA stat based scoring system, otherwise similar to FPL in many rules/transfers etc. 5 teams per player max. Free to play. Better than FPL, honestly.

    Sky, lumped here because it's the last for a while that only includes Premier League games for it's points.
    My first year so hard to say but I can see this being an enjoyable game. No WCs and 40 transfers for the season. Captaincy change and transfers allowed during GW so all score, gives it something extra. 2 teams per player. 11 man squad

    Mail Prem and FA Cup score, 5 teams per player, 32 transfers and ten Captaincy changes split into two lots of 16&5 for each half of the season. 15 man squad

    Telegraph (The oldest of all English FF games 20 this season) 1 free team this year as an anniversary special. 30 transfers Prem and FA Cup 11 man squad

    Mirror, Prem and FA Cup 15 man squad with a twist a dozen of Europe's "TOP" strikers may also be picked and score in their main league, not got my head round this bit. 30 transfers. 1 free team but as many as you want can be bought or earned through their house bookie.

    The last three ^^^^ can all have transfers made during the GW to score as well. A bonus for those who keep a close hold on the team.

    I also play Yahoo Unlimited transfers at any time

    Sportal Australia 40 transfers max 2 per week

    We come to the Sun. It has the biggest prize and that is the only thing I think anyone would play it for.
    We can only hope for a radical overhaul for next year.
    Having said that it is probably the second highest played after FPL. ??????????

    Sorry this is all a bit jumbled, not slept for 28 hrs now and wanted to give you an idea. In the early summer as each comes out and for those without FPL blinkers, I could give an in depth of rules and maybe strategy on the ones I'm any good at or understand.

      This is my first year of FPL after years of playing the Telegraph. TFF has the advantage of more cash prizes and the huge disadvantage that some people enter dozens and dozens of teams - I assume they have found discount codes to avoid paying the fee of £2 per team.

      Transfer prices are fixed for the year in TFF and you can change the team mid game week and therefore replace a player who played sat with one who has a game Sunday but as mentioned above max 30 transfers in the season.

          It was the multiple teams that drove me away but it isceasier to pick up monthly or weekly prizes towardscthe end of the season as they have a rule limiting every participant to one prize per season. I got £250 for a weekly prize once despite finishing 5th thanks to that.

        My early games were Telegraph then The Times. Postal transfers, then premium rate phone line transfers, can't remember which paper. ( I soon binned that off).

        I'm planning to do Rooney + 0.6m for Aguero once he returns, Lukaku i'm currently holding him because his fixtures are still very reasonable for him to score points.

        Hmm third big defender would mean i would be stuck with Rooney/Lukaku/Suarez unless i take a hit in the future to downgrade lukaku and upgrade rooney to aguero.

      Not ENR, but I'll give my opinion.

      2-3 days back, it looked like he's on his way out, but Mourinho has come out to say that he wants Mata there. Probably talked it out with Mata while training. ALso came out to say he trained fantastically. Should stay, at least until the end of this season.

                      Could also argue that Rooney's a midfielder in your team and that's with RVP injured.

                      Let's face it - Rooney isn't happy with his current role. Get the best price on him while he's hot and on form. We know how inconsistent he can be.

                      The biggest difference in quality between a player on form and off form.

                      In return, you get the perfect #10 in Juan Mata. Ever so consistent and will infuse much need creativity in the United midfield. Arguably a better job than Rooney.

      Can't see Mata leaving. All this speculation is getting tedious man. Still a very important player in the team while playing against clubs who park the bus but need him to adapt to Jose's pressing style against top teams.

      Also the concept of a first team is no longer valid imo. If Mata is surplus to requirements for Chelsea, then Fabregas was surplus at Barca last year, Isco is surplus at Real this year, Gotze is surplus at Bayern, etc. Top clubs have multiple top attackers. Look at Barca and Bayern! If Robben and Ribbery play, that means two of Gotze, Muller and Kroos are often on the bench. They have similar depth in central midfield. At Madrid, if Ronaldo and Bale play, di Maria is likely on the bench, often along with Isco!

      I think we need Mata to compete, not just because he’s amazing (which he is), but for rotation and tactical options.

      Not sure about Cole, and if I was on WC I'd rather go Silva over Yaya. Push for Aguero I think, not comfortable doubling Tottenham up still.

        I wanted a few differentials in there, with regards to Cole. Yeah, not sure about the Tottenham double up either... Could swap to Lallana or Welbeck (can't believe I just said that!). I can see the financial benefit of going for silva but will he outscore Yaya?

    Bank = 0.6
    FT = 1

    Ideally, I'd like to WC as late as possible. Having said that, I'll be looking to ditch Luna, Lukaku and Rooney in the coming weeks.

        Hey Champ! How's things? Cheers for the feedback. Got Luna @ 4.4 so have a max of 5.0 to spend on a replacement. Not too many outstanding picks in that price bracket. Was thinking Jonny Evans but United can't keep the ball out of their net it seems. Thought about Eriksen but was just tinkering with my team now and may look to do Luna, Lukaku & Rooney > Evans, Adebayor & Aguero when Kun returns. Would give me:

      I know doubling up isn't for some people. The problem with Szczesny is he is not likely to get baps when Arsenal keep a cleanie whereas the likes of Kosc & Mert will. That's why I'd prefer an Arsenal CB.
