The Treatment Table – Gameweek 29

Filed under: Injury News - Posted by: Paul

Once more, we scour the weekend’s matches and analyse the press reports for news of any fresh injuries to concern Fantasy managers as we tentatively pencil in plans for the weekend and beyond:

Kieran Gibbs is a doubt for the Gunners’ Champions League clash against Bayern Munich on Wednesday evening after being subbed off with a calf complaint in the weekend FA Cup win over Everton.

The Bluebirds centre-half Ben Turner was forced off in the dying minutes of Saturday’s 3-1 win over Fulham due to injury, reports the club’s official website.

Fernando Torres was named in the starting line-up to face Tottenham on Saturday evening but was withdrawn after picking up a problem in the warm-up. Jose Mourinho revealed he could be without the Spaniard for the next fortnight:

“Torres has a muscular problem and even when they are small it is always a couple of weeks. He has to go for scans. He’s already had two problems, in both knees, both ligaments, but his recovery was faster than we expected. He also had a little muscular problem and now he’s having another one. Sometimes it happens. There are other players who have the same. Others have a complete season without problems.”

Reports in the local press confirm Ashkan Dejagah was forced off just after the break in the 3-1 defeat at Cardiff due to injury.

Hull City
Jake Livermore was omitted from the matchday squad in yesterday’s 3-0 FA Cup win over Sunderland after picking up a thigh problem, according to local reports.

Man United
David Moyes confirmed Rafael was subbed off late on in the 3-0 win over West Brom after sustaining an ankle knock.

Reports in the local press indicate Loic Remy will be assessed ahead of next weekend’s trip to Fulham. Remy is hopeful of returning in time to face the Cottagers after receiving lengthy treatment on an ankle problem sustained during France’s friendly win over Holland last Wednesday evening.

Jack Cork was subbed off in the first-half of Saturday’s win over Palace with an ankle problem. Early reports indicate he left the stadium wearing a protective boot and may be facing weeks on the sidelines.

Gus Poyet confirmed Jozy Altidore, Wes Brown, Valentin Roberge and Craig Gardner all missed yesterday’s FA Cup clash against Hull after picking up knocks.

Michael Dawson was withdrawnin the second-half of Saturday evening’s hammering at Stamford Bridge after suffering a hamstring injury. Mousa Dembele also missed the match with a similar complaint.

West Brom
Claudio Yacob, Chris Brunt and Steven Reid were all forced offin Saturday lunchtime’s home loss to United due to injury. Yacob picked up a hamstring problem, whilst the latter pair both sustained knee injuries.

  1. RMT for next week guys

    Fonte . Kompany . Ivanovic
    Hazard . Yaya . Sterling . Gerrard
    Adebayor . Aguero . Sturridge

    Thanks in advance.

  2. Azpi or Cahill ?

    1. If you can afford, Cahill

      Bigger attacking and BAP threat

      1. Cahill all day

    2. Cahill

    3. Cahill...he gets bonus even if he doesnt keep clean sheet/assist/scores!!!!!

    4. k hill

    5. ok, thanks. You've just confirmed what I thought  Cahill it is

  3. Tyler Durden or Kyser Soze?

    1. Soze definitely

    2. The greatest trick the devil ever played was convincing the world he didn't exist

  4. Once you've hit the wildcard it's tough as there are so many options up front

    Ageuro/Sturridge/Saurez and Nolan
Or aguero Saurez Lukaka and gerrard

  5. the Mata_Yaya ProblemO
1)keep Mata and take him out for Yaya after DGw
2)Do Mata->>Yaya for a hit now itself in Gw 30 or Gw31 for 0.2 more
Is it worth a transfer to use for 1 dgw to another?Need to use 1 for Sturridge too next week

    1. I'm doing mata to yaya this week for a hit, with the price changes and the extra week to help make up the four points it seems right - plus I really don't want mata in my team anymore!

  6. Would you sacrifice Suarez for Aguero? Is that a move that makes sense?

It's messing with my head. If I don't get Kun in today, I won't be able to afford it. Thinking of going with Lukaku instead.

      1. It's unanimous then! :P

  7. Bottom of last page

    Does this look good?
Ade and caz to aguero and sissoko
Then Lambert to sturridge next week

    Team is
    Boruc McGregor
    Ivan vlaar Olsson ward bardsley
    Hazard Mata caz lallana puncheon
    Suarez ade Lambert

    1. Or yaya in there somewhere?

      1. Can you afford Sterling instead of Sissoko? I don't think Sissoko will get any sort of consistency, even for the DGW.

  8. Boruc

    Terry Baines Olsson Dann Bruce

    Mata Hazard Mirallas Ince noone

    Suarez Sturridge Rooney

    1ft, 1.5m in bank.

    Where can i improve?

    1. Noone to Sterling do-able?

      or Mata to Yaya

      1. both do-able, thanks

    2. Mata > Yaya

      1. cheers

  9. right think I've settled on AJ. The extra fixtures swing it his way.

One last call to make, that is it

    1. not so sure its a good choice:

      1. doesn't seem to play 90 mins very often

      2. may have been dropped last game, although fact Mannone was benched as well may mean he wasnt.

      3. streaky and could be that streak is over.

    2. yeah, I've settled on him too. I may actually end up with even 3 Sunderland players 8O

  10. George McCarney - WHU - 4.0 mln

    1. Looks good and it seems like it's his spot to lose, but will Armero stay benched for the rest of the season?

      1. I'd personally say that Reid is more likely to jump into the first team if they'd be looking for some changes at the back

        1. yeah I agree, but there's a chance. In terms of nailedless, and legendaryness

          Demel is the man

    2. good cheapie but west hams fixtures post double are poor

    3. With Reid knocking on the door, it needs to be seen how Big Sam rolls out the defence line.

      1. Reid CB, McCartney LB, isn't it ?

  11. Would you sacrifice Baines to have AJ ahead of Sterling?

    A. Baines + Sterling
    B. Coleman + AJ

Other mids: Yaya, Hazard, Nolan and 4.3m
Other defs: Ivanovic, Azpil, Kolarov, Chester

  12. dgw team mk32

    coleman baines chester
    nolan yaya AJ gerrard
    suarez remy studge

very tempted to go with this

    1. that team will score well, shoe

      1. lol we'll see, i still may get aguero, but the team would be vastly different

    2. sth really similar to mine.

I currently have Cahill, Hazard, Lukaku over yours Coleman, Gerrard, Remy

      1. havent settled on lukaku, remy or aguero yet but i cant afford haz and yaya so haz is makin way

  13. Does anyone know why Goetze wasn`t even on the bench on saturday?

Is sissoko the best mid for 5.6 or less for this gw only?

    1. i think mutch is a serious player ...... and cheap. if i didn't have noone i would get him.

sissoko not bad but will probably revert to previous form.

    2. for dgw possibly aye.........tho hull are worth a look

  15. Adrian* (Marshall)
    Ivan,Fonte,Ward Caulker,Kos* * = DGW
    Haz,Lallana,Sterling* Snoddy,Januzaj*

    2FT 2.3 ITB

Had a decent GW29 and now within 5 points of 1st in my ML but need some help with who to bring in with regards to this week and then the DGW. I wanna try and field 9DGW players at least (also not fussed about having Aguero in my team..)

Any transfer suggestions will be appreciated

  16. Hey guys, quick poll!

    For gw 30 only:

    A) Ade and any 6.0 mid or under (which?)
    B) Lukaku and Puncheon

  17. Anyone interested in the ICC World T20 Fantasy Cricket game?
    The link is here:
The League PIN to join the league is: 40661

    1. Can you all use your FFS names so that I know who you are thanks!

      1. Do we have to go through the qualifying stages of the tournament(When Nepal and the UAE play)?

  18. To be done after the Champions League games:
    A) Boruc + Mata -> Adrian + Yaya
    B) Cahill + Mata -> Distin + Yaya

Both for -4 and I already have Coleman.

  19. AJG

I have SAS & Wazza as my strikers, any reason for me to change them up with lukaku and aguero coming back to the fold?

    1. tw
      • Fantasy Football Scout Member

      keep SAS

personally I think Rooney to Kun is the way to go but rooney does have a dgw and potential himself

      1. AJG

Yup, I only had Rooney available as my strikers last week, made him captain and he impressed. He also gave 110% against WBA, but then again, AGUERO!! haha
