Edin Dzeko is back for City’s derby trip to Old Trafford. Laurent Koscielny is out of Arsenal’s home game with Swansea, though Kieran Gibbs and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain are both available. Davide Santon remains sidelined through illness for Newcastle’s home encounter with Everton, who have Phil Jagielka available after a hamstring injury:

Arsene Wenger has confirmed Laurent Koscielny is out of Arsenal’s clash with Swansea this evening and is set for further scans on the calf complaint that forced him off against Chelsea on Saturday. The Gunners will have both Kieran Gibbs and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain available, though, after successfully appealling their cases of mistaken identity and wrongful dismissal at the weekend.

Newcastle’s Davide Santon is back in training after missing out through illness at the weekend. Alan Pardew has confirmed the Italian won’t be ready to face Everton tonight, though expects him back for the weekend. Sammy Ameobi is out for the Magpies after suffering an ankle injury.

Sergio Aguero and Matija Nastasic are the only two unavailable for City’s trip to Old Trafford tonight. Edin Dzeko returned to training yesterday and has recovered from the illness that forced him out of the weekend hammering of Fulham.

David Moyes was non-committal on the availability of his injured defenders ahead of tonight’s game. Rio Ferdinand, Jonny Evans and Chris Smalling all remain doubts for United, who are also without the suspended Nemanja Vidic – their manager was only prepared to say “we will do everything we can to get them back for this game”.

Phil Jagielka is “medically fully fit” according to Roberto Martinez after recovering from a hamstring injury ahead of Everton’s trip to St James’ Park. The Toffees boss has admitted he has to make a decision on whether to start his skipper in light of a busy fixture schedule.

Sunderland have recalled Connor Wickham from Leeds United prior to Wednesday’s trip to Liverpool. Steven Fletcher remains injured, whilst Fabio Borini is ineligible to face his parent club. Andrea Dossena looks likely to cover for the suspended Marcos Alonso at left-back after Ondrej Celustka turned out for the club’s reserve side yesterday.

Sam Allardyce has revealed Matt Jarvis (thigh) is West Ham’s only concern for the visit of Hull. This indicates James Tomkins has recovered from an ankle problem picked up in the weekend loss to United following a challenge by Marouane Fellaini.

Curtis Davies has emerged as a doubt for Hull’s trip to Upton Park but “is expected to be ok”, according to Steve Bruce. The Tigers also have concerns over Shane Long, who was forced off with a knee knock last weekend.

All this and more has now been updated in the Team News section ahead of the Gameweek’s remaining five fixtures over Tuesday and Wednesday. Keep an eye on our official Twitter Stream as breaking news unfolds.

    Savage has done his Manchester XI on the BBC Sport website.

    Not that I advocate ever following in Savage's footsteps, I thought it could be interesting. 🙂

    Mine is:

    De Gea
    Zabaleta - Kompany - Vidic - Clichy
    Yaya - Fernandinho
    Nasri - Rooney - Silva
    Aguero

    🙂

        9 yellow cards.

        Doesn't make sense to rest him tonight though, because if he gets a yellow in their next two games he'd miss city. If anything makes more sense for him to play and get a tactical yellow, so he can have a rest and be back fresh for the city game.

    Fantasy Football Scout daily hot topic

    SAS Disassemblement

    When will be the right time to disassemble the SAS partnership, or are you keeping for teh rest of the season?

    Liverpool have no DGWs and with the re-emergence of Rooney and Aguero, is it time to change your frontline?

    If so, who will you be shipping out? It's getting late in the season now, so could keeping Sturridge over Suarez be the differential to boost your score?

      Sturridge can become Aguero if he ever gets off the injury table.

      Kinda looking for a Studge Aguero Suarez front line. Keeping my current midfield and tinkering with my defence I'm about 0.6/0.7 off. If I could manage it then I'd have a playing front 7 of

      Haz Stevie G Yaya Silva

      Studge Aguero Suarez

      Rooney is a fantastic option but I need even more consistent returns from him before I consider, United's wild inconsistency is what puts me off.

      thinking about it, given Liverpool play City in GW34, it makes more sense to have a City striker in that game. I think I will sell Sturridge in either 33 or 34 to Aguero if he's fit or Dzeko if he's not, and leave the cash spare to get Aguero when he is back.

      If I broke the S&S&S partnership for GW34 or 37 DGWers it is more likely to be Sturridge to go, barring serious injury to Suarez or even Skrtel.
      I shall keep Lukaku for GW34 dbl then probably drop for Rooney IF form stays as it is with them atm.
      Not fussed about Aguero who looks to me to be out of it this year apart from odd flashes of genius before falling apart again.

      I only have suarez but i would be keeping him over sturridge i think.
      Aguero would be who youd be looking for due to the extra game i suppose but most midfields or defs would need to be recontructed to bring in aguero.
      Lukaku still has more games left than SAS as well so maybe could be utilised. After almost buying aguero before he got injured against barca, i suppose most will now be waiting for him to get some minutes before bringing him in?

      "If Aguero is fit", I will bring him in for playing in DGW34 - so my front 3 would be Suarez, Aguero, Lukaku on GW34.
      GW35: Lukaku > Giroud
      GW36: Suarez > Rooney
      GW37: Giroud > RVP
      GW38: RVP > Suarez

    Surprised how confident everyone is in United tonight. Can see City scoring at least 3 goals! Our midfield is porous.

    They have silva, nasri, yaya, fernandinho and maybe milner in that area. We will just have fellaini and fletcher/carrick there...

        he was class in defence at west ham. the reason he has looked worse this season is because he always only has one partner in the central area. for example, when we played chelsea it was just him and cleverley up against matic, ramires, luiz and willian in that area. and hazard tucked in there too sometimes.

        teams know they can get at united by flooding central midfield. carrick-rvp axis was strong last season but has been found out and nullified by other teams. moyes has not responded. same old 442 every game, needs to tinker like Rogers

            We should be realistic in our approach while analyzing both teams.Apart from rooney and degea ,Moyes doesn't know who should play in what position.Adding our terrible midfield facing city's awesome trio & if united concede first goal than we are doomed .Moyes just don't know how to respond in adverse condition and the cross galore begins.

      60% - just neead a West Ham cleanie, and goals conceded by Hull, Everton and City.

      Just think about it - McGregor, Baines, Zab might not keep a clean sheet - all playing away matches. While West Ham got a home match against Hull - Adrian and Collins score 6 points.
      So now you have,
      A = 12 points + Dzeko
      B = 6 points + Sissoko + Lukaku.

      In all probability, Sissoko will blank against Everton - that makes it,
      A = 12 points + Dzeko
      B = 8 points + Lukaku

      Can you vouch Lukaku will score 4 points more than Dzeko?

    The reson I say he doesnt try is he doesnt sprint to track back (can he even sprint?). He isn't a back 4 shield, he's a Pirlo type so he's beint used wrong. He was grossly overrated last season for me, did attaking part well but still poor defensively, just got exposed less as teams were scared and didnt attack us qs much

        Don't think Moyes has ever put 3 midfielders in central midfield or played a 4-3-3. Fat chance. Would love it though. We would be so much more solid and control games much better. Also don't think Kagawa will keep his place, Welbz/Valencia to start unfortunately.

                No, you just seem to completely ignore the point that is being made. Carrick and Pirlo are not comparable skill wise but they play a similar role (or at least it's Carrick's best position). Pirlo is simply much better.

            Put it this way, if their roles were switched who would fare better? Carrick alongside Pogba and Vidal would vastly improve his game (although admittedly not reaching Pirlo levels) whereas Pirlo playing 4-4-2 with Cleverly for a majority of a season would have a shocker

    What should I do with Sterling? Any Liverpool fans know how likely he is to get regular starts in the next few weeks?

      As the midfield is now fully fit, the rotation will in all likelihood increase. Some tough home games coming where we could go to a 4-3-3, meaning he probably won't get much time.

      he'll be rotated with coutinho alot but even if he doesn't start he will get 30 mins of bench and has a good chance of scoring against tired legs

      He'll definitely be rotated but all we know is to attack so even when he does come on it'll be to do just that and keep the oppoisiton wary of him.

      No. Even when games are a week apart he has been rotated, so just a few days should mean certainty.

      Welcome Carloicecube.

      Maybe the best you can do for now is to save the transfer, plus Olson still has a few good fixtures before the tough ones begin.

        I've played with the Moto G and it is the best value for money Android phone around right now.

        Lovely 4.5 screen running the latest Android OS. Feels good in the hand, nice build quality. Only slight "negative" point is that the camera isn't as good as some of the bigger boys (Samsung or LG).

        Having said that, I'd be more than happy to use it as my daily phone.

            Moto G, definitely.

            For around £160, it's the best bang for buck phone on the market. Those reviews don't lie.

            The Nexus 5 may have higher screen res and a faster processor (blah, blah, blah) but the Moto G will not disappoint for the daily stuff like web browsing or chatting or streaming.

            The Nexus 5 is around £100 more expensive too.

      Odds of keeping cleanies by Zab, Chester and Kolarov are very less. Not much in there.

      Probability of getting a penalty by Gerrard is also less - Sunderland rarely concedes penalties. So, I think B would win.

    thinking about it, given Liverpool play City in GW34, it makes more sense to have a City striker in that game. I think I will sell Sturridge in either 33 or 34 to Aguero if he's fit or Dzeko if he's not, and leave the cash spare to get Aguero when he is back. But then SaS play Norwich in GW35. Thoughts?
