Fantasy managers have just one match to entertain us this evening as United play their final home game of what has been a tumultuous first campaign of the post-Ferguson era. Ryan Giggs’ brief tenure as interim-manager of the Red Devils has already served up an impressive hammering of Norwich before Sunderland quickly burst the bubble of optimism last weekend:

Giggs makes as many as eight alterations from the side that lost to the Black Cats, with the Welshman joinging the likes of Nemanja Vidic, Juan Mata and Robin Van Persie on the bench. Once again, the hosts are without Wayne Rooney, who has failed to recover from the illness and/or groin problem that saw him miss the Black Cats clash.

Steve Bruce makes five changes for visitors Hull – with their top-flight survival now secured, the Tigers manager’s teamsheet clearly has one eye on the upcoming FA Cup Final clash against Arsenal.

Our Twitter feed carries all the news from tonight’s team sheets, while the Dugout Discussion chatroom remains open to collect your real-time reactions to this evening’s events.

People talking about taking hits for gw38... IMO the only players worth signing are city & liverpool. Maybe sunderland if they lose midweek.

    Lineups could be crazy!

Giggs has lost all credibility for me , this is just not good enough , he has put the kids in charge of the school , he's no ones and everyone's friend ,
They should have left Moyes in charge if this was the case - the whole thing is a total fiasco.

This is a mockery for the premier league ( from both teams ) ,
I'm glad I have paid my hard earned cash to see Rvp / mata / Rooney etc tonight.

Serious G , granted I've a few but I genuinely feel United as a club need to be better than this , leaving the season fizzle out like this is not good enough for the fans .
Where's the passion / desire the will to die for your club I ain't feeling it , granted most clubs are similar but look at Liverpool you can't argue that passion runs through the veins of those players and fans , do you feel the same with uniteds and Giggs ?
I don't - standards should never be left slip like this , I know ferguson played young players in cup games but he always treated every league game like it was his last , yes he was the master of rotation and keeping players in tow , I'd this what United are becoming - a kiss me arse club ?
We've set the standards we should maintain them and you know he was happy to let the ' playboy ' go he was right IMO , not good enough or hungry enough got the jersey , I could go on all night in how I feel united in all aspects have let themselves down , but I'll stop now.

This is Gigg's revenge for last week's performance from the players. He made it clear he wanted four wins but they didn't show up last week. That's something he never tolerated in himself

There's a lot of psychology goes on in football, sometimes subliminal. With every passing week and every decision made this season Old Trafford is feeling less and less intimidating. I agree with the first part of what you say...Four wins and a good showing under Giggs would have helped repair the damage..This won't.

Come on! Why does Steve Bruce always manage to get his tactics totally wrong whenever he plays ManU. Mark Hughes and Keane have enough respect to go for it when they come to OT, but Bruce just rolls over.

So for the final GW the ideal player is somebody who is NOT going to the WC (or on the fringes) playing for a home team, against a team who is either full if WC players (who will be scared of injury), or a team with nothing to play for (though I'm wary of Fulham/Cardiff as the players will be playing for their futures at new clubs)

Eriksen fits the bill. Anyone else?

Hull don't have one shot on target? Sunderland manhandled a better ManU side last week. Steve Bruce is fixing these matches on purpose

Hull have nothing to play for with an eye on the FA cup. Its not suprising they are playing crap.

Utter carnage. No Rooney, Mata, Ferdinand, Aguero, Rambo, Chester. Can't legislate for that. I'm basically relying on Johnson and Amalfitano to get me any points worth noting this week *wide-eyed smiley thing*.

What makes it worse is that trying to salvage a team for next week is getting increasingly difficult.

Still love double gameweeks though. I've done pretty well in all the others this season (and most in seasons to date). This one is just an anomaly of car crash proportions.
