I have made a spreadsheet that will help you make the best transfers. It helps identify which players to sell and which players to buy. Not only that, it has a lot of other useful data that will help you this season. The data is totally up to date and I will try my best to keep it that way throughout the season.

You can access the spreadsheet here:

So how does it work?

1.       To view player data for each position you should use the following tabs: GK Calculations, Defender Calculations, Midfielder Calculations & Forward Calculations. Here you will find tables with the following columns:

a.       PPG = Points Per Game – this shows which player is likely to get most points overall. The bigger the number the better.

b.      PPM = Points Per Million – this shows what player is best value for your money. The bigger the number the better.

c.       PPMPG = Points Per Million Per Game – this also shows what player is best value for your money. The bigger the number the better.

d.      Points 4 Weeks = Shows how many points a player scored over last 4 weeks which helps you identify in form players. The bigger the number the better.

e.      Performance Indicator = Shows if a player is below the average key performance indicator (low), above average but below high key performance indicator (average) and above high key performance indicator (high). You want (high) performing players.

2.       To check how your current players are performing use the “Your Team” tab and use the drop down lists to enter your players. After that you just need to enter their selling value and pick the game week you are interested in. This page allows you to see clearly what player you need to sell. Remember if a player is performing at a low level over the last 4 weeks you should seriously consider selling right away.

3.       Some of the other tabs that may be of interest are: Goals and Assists, Conceded, Results, Fixtures, Fixture Difficulty and Best Captains.

If you are unsure of anything please let me know and I will do my best to explain.

If you chose to use this spreadsheet I would really appreciate your feedback (good and bad). If you think it is missing something please let me know and I will try my best to include it as soon as I can. Also, if you find any errors please let me know and I will make the necessary corrections. Thanks and good luck.

Can you explain about the performance indicator? Why does it only show "Low" and "#VALUE" ?

dunno if this will be read, but the PPM or PPGPM has an inherent flaw which most of us overlook. Suppose 2 players with price 4 and price 4.5 mil, are found to have the same PPM, say 5 in the first 4 gameweeks. then their points scored shud have been. 20 and 22. now value wise, both look the same. The 4.5 guy, has scored only 2 more points. But to upgrade a 4 mil guy to 4.5 is a reasonably big step. and this is amplified at every price level. What i'm try to say is, since the baseline price is 4, a price difference of 1 mil, is not mere a 20% increase but is worth a lot more. Or in other words, points scored by a lower priced player, is worth a lot more than a higher priced guy. 2 points scored by Wisdom shud be worth a lot more than 1 scored by Ivan, since its tough to get Ivan into the team without affecting others in the squad. His points therefore shud have less value

FPL accounts for such a thing where a goal scored by a defender is worth more than one scored by a mid or forward. Now i'm not sure what the ratio shud be but i think in order to compare PPM/PPGPM optimally, each player's points must be multiplied by a certain factor before tabling.
    For eg.,
    4mil - 10
    5mil - 9
    6mil - 8
    7mil - 7

so if Wisdom scores 20 points in 3 games, it shud be taken as (20*10 =) 200 and the PPM value be 140/4 = 50. while if ivanovic scores 20, the value is (20*7 =) 140, with a PPM of 140/7 of 20.

I can't decide on what the factors shud be, but pple with more experience might be able to give more input. I think it will help give a more realistic value to PPM, instead of just seeing who's is higher
